Model Citizen (The Claire MacDougal Series Book 2) Kindle Edition by Lola Beverly Hills

Profile:

"Parties, trials, and anacondas, oh my! The headlines keep swirling as Claire MacDougal tries to balance a modeling career with an engagement to her longtime boyfriend of five years, Stuart Jacobs, Attorney at Law, and a close relationship with God. The congregation has stayed mum on the scantily clad images in her portfolio, but she knows the gold-paved streets of God's kingdom are talking. Stuart gets the break he’s been waiting for when he is called upon to help defend ten-time Grammy-nominated rap star, Pharaoh, accused of murder in the third degree. Claire doesn't believe life can get any better but when she befriends Pharaoh's young and naive wife, Plush Sanders, she begins to see her own face on more tabloids than fashion magazines. Stuart has always been respected amongst his colleagues and the members of the church that watched him grow up before their very eyes, but when Claire's socialite lifestyle collides with his professional life as he takes on the biggest case of his career, the blessings come to a standstill. Forget the defendant being held without bail in the San Bernardino County Jail for catching a body, Claire MacDougal has become the one on trial. Stuart is her everything, but the defaming headlines may keep her from sticking around to see the verdict."

"Model Citizen" by Lola Beverly Hills

My Thoughts...

This is the second in 'The Claire MacDougal series and I did enjoy this one even a little better than the first series.
For the two main characters Claire and Stuart will have to learn a lot when it comes to commitment to each other. Bringing in all the rest of these interesting strong supporting characters and the reader will get quite a read that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next.  These two main characters were so definitely opposites and it will take quite a bit of coming together before things will start to change for them in there lives.  By the end will these two finally get their HEA?  Well, it seems like maybe there will be some happiness for another character that definitely needed something good for her in all that had happened in her marriage.  To find out what all has gone on I would suggest the reader start with read book 1 of this series and then on to this one [book 2] where many of ones questions will be answered from this good read.

"A Perfect Relationship" by Anna Anastase

My Thoughts...

This was quite a interesting read in that I was trying to follow this author thought pattern. This protagonist Julia wanting to have a relationship with Jacob and with a younger man whom she had once babysit.

To me her thought pattern was all over the place and with that being said she was finally caught by sending the wrong text to he wrong guy.  When it seemed like all was going her way again she fell back into the stream of things in that she wasn't really willing to let either one of them go and that friend of hers wasn't much help to her for she had too many problems of her own. This story was quite  triangle of a mess.  In the end Julia still wanted her cake and ice cream too from both men. I wonder if the story had gone on what would have happened when Jacob found out just who Julia was messing around with. Oh well, that's another story for another time. I kept trying to understand this title:  "A Perfect Relationship?"  All I can say is that I guess it was perfect for Julia in that she was getting what she felt was needed in her life. Wow that gives me something to ponder over long after this read!

A Girl's Guide To Moving On By: Debbie Macomber

Book Decription....

"In this powerful and uplifting novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber, a mother and her daughter-in-law bravely leave their troubled marriages and face the challenge of starting over. Leaning on each other, Nichole and Leanne discover that their inner strength and capacity for love are greater than they ever imagined.

When Nichole discovers that her husband, Jake, has been unfaithful, the illusion of her perfect life is indelibly shattered. While juggling her young son, a new job, and volunteer work, Nichole meets Rocco, who is the opposite of Jake in nearly every way. Though blunt-spoken and rough around the edges, Rocco proves to be a dedicated father and thoughtful friend. But just as their relationship begins to blossom, Jake wagers everything on winning Nichole back—including their son Owen’s happiness. Somehow, Nichole must find the courage to defy her fears and follow her heart, with far-reaching consequences for them all.

Leanne has quietly ignored her husband’s cheating for decades, but is jolted into action by the echo of Nichole’s all-too-familiar crisis. While volunteering as a teacher of English as a second language, Leanne meets Nikolai, a charming, talented baker from Ukraine. Resolved to avoid the heartache and complications of romantic entanglements, Leanne nonetheless finds it difficult to resist Nikolai’s effusive overtures—until an unexpected tragedy tests the very fabric of her commitments.

An inspiring novel of friendship, reinvention, and hope, A Girl’s Guide to Moving On affirms the ability of every woman to forge a new path, believe in love, and fearlessly find happiness."

"A Girl's Guide To Moving On" by Debbie Macomber

My Thoughts....

I loved how this author gave us a read that focused on Nichole and Leanne...daughter in law and
mother in law.  Wow, to have these  two that had been cheated on by their unfaithful  husbands was really some good read.  Seeing how they dealt with their new  situations in life was really quite some story and well presented to the readers.  This was a beautifully told story about a family[lovely strong women] and just how they figured how and just what they needed in their life.  Be ready for a story that shows how both of these ladies dealt with life after their divorces and the new men in their life that treated them as only they should be treated.   I loved the characters in this novel .....Leanne, Nichole, Nikolai, Rocco to name a few other that that will keep the reader turning the pages till the end.  This read was really something what this author brought out about those cheating husbands toward  at the end of the read that did give me some surprise to its ending.  I especially liked the epilogue that will sum the story all up at the end giving the reader a nice conclusion to a well  written story.

I received a copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
