The Gun Trial (Sophia Christopoulos Legal Thriller Series Book 2) Kindle Edition by Dale E. Manolakas

Profile:

Inspired by a real case in this legal thriller, a Yale student's tragic end triggers a deadly fight for justice against gun sellers and an attack on the Second Amendment right to bear arms. As guns fire and lives shatter, media wars and violence drive this legally pivotal trial against gun sellers. Only the small Los Angeles firm of Kraus & White will take on the cutting-edge case against the national gun establishment and corporate oligarchs. Amidst the firm’s internal strife, lead trial lawyer Sophia Christopoulos and her team fight the well-financed, corrupt opposition in hostile Bakersfield, California. Social tensions fuel the already volatile mix compounded by demonstrations, deaths, scandal, and the ratings-hungry media. Fighting for her life and her firm’s survival, Sophia pushes the Second Amendment case to a climactic trial—confronting the ubiquity and difficulty of gun violence and guns themselves in America. [First in the legal thriller series—Lethal Lawyers—Top 100 Amazon Legal Thriller for a Year]

"The Gun Trial" by Dale E. Manolakas

My Thoughts...

What a another good series this author "The Gun Trial!" Yes, it was a long read but the way this author presents it to the reader is simply wonderful as she breaks it all down for the reader.  There are some very well developed colorful well built characters and vivid scenes that will definitely keep your interest as you are turning the pages to see what is going on from chapter to chapter. This was definitely a legal-thriller of a read!  The title was one that has been dealt with daily in the world [over guns] and it was quite a read seeing what went on inside with  this legal team as they prepare for courtroom.  From this read the reader will get a little bit of it all from: law firms, money, ethnic, death, gender tensions, location, courtroom drama and all the rest of the details  that go with the solving this particular case along with all of its plotted twist and turns.

"The Gun Trial" was quite a well written, engaging, emotional, complex and complicated story that shows what can go in the  courtroom process  with the lawyers and the clients dynamics in dealing with gun control.  I will say that Ms Manolakas did a wonderful job along with her team at addressing this issue on gun control.  I enjoyed how the author used 'dark humor' that appeared in quotation at the beginning of each chapter.  In the end we truly get a read that 'exposes how law firms large and small, honorable and corrupt operates.'

If you are looking for a intriguing read over a gun issue,  I would highly recommend this read to you. By the way if you haven't read this author first book in this series [Sophia Christopoulos Legal Series Book 1] 'Lethal and Lawyers' please do so because you will really get to see Ms. Manolakas from the beginning with some other characters that will definitely blow you away at what can happen in a law firm.
