"The New Pastor" by Sherman Cox

My Rationalization:

Now, this was one of those Christian fiction reads that will have you shaking your head.  It was hard for me to think of someone becoming a pastor by accident? And was this due to Elliot James needing the money and a place to stay?  This is definitely not a reason to all of a sudden to want to become a pastor.

It seems this person went to apply for one job but got another definitely a mix up that was indeed kind of funny.  What I didn't like was when Elliot found out what was going on he failed to acknowledge what was wrong and fix this situation immediately.  Even though it seems as Elliot was sincere about fixing the many problems that this Bethel Community Church had he still failed to come clean to what he had done so when things went south for him all I could say was well it was bound to happen.  What is done in the dark always comes out in the end.  It did seem as though Elliott may have learned from this situation so the ending was ok. however, somewhat rushed.  I felt that the one that finally got the pastorship at Bethel  Community Church should have gotten it in the first place.
