Fearless Entanglement : The Protector, the Antihero, and a Deadly Love Triangle (MacKenzie Crime Family) Kindle Edition by Amarie Avant

 Book Excerpt:

"To destroy a powerful man—target his heir. His seed. His only daughter. Me.

I’m Natasha Resnova. The miracle child who shouldn’t have survived. I hide behind a camera instead of facing my violent, blood-soaked legacy. The Resnov bratva breathes brutality. I breathe silence.

Until one photo puts me in the path of two powerful men.

One sees me.

One hunts me.

And between them, everything shatters.

LORENZO

She was my mark. Vassili Resnov’s daughter—the doorway to vengeance. I returned from a black-ops mission with one objective: seduce Natasha, break her, and use the pieces to burn her father’s empire to the ground.

But Natasha’s not breakable. She’s gorgeous. A light I never knew existed. I wanted her. Damn, I wanted her.

Then he appears, with a look that says he’d destroy the world to save her.

But Lachlan won’t come between me and Natasha.

This will end in blood. Hers.

LACHLAN

I should’ve put her first.

But I’m Lachlan MacKenzie—Dodger’s golden boy with a baseball bat. I tried to juggle it all: my family’s criminal secrets, sports fame, and cherishing Natasha.

I was wrong. And I lost her.

Natasha needed me. I gave her excuses. She offered me her trust. I dropped it.

Now her “friend” Lorenzo circles her, a wolf ready to taste her fear.

I will do anything to regain her affection. Natasha is not just the miracle child of a Bratva king.

She’s my everything.

And I’m done letting monsters near her.

Fearless Entanglement is a pulse-pounding love triangle, laced with dark obsession, hidden agendas, and a love that cuts deeper than lies.

No cheating—only jaw-dropping twists, betrayal, romantic suspense, and an HEA worth the wages of war in this interracial romance!
Other common themes include: Military soldier, MLB baseball player, Russian Bratva, Scottish Crime family mafia, second chances, friends to lovers, hero, possessive anti-hero, dark past and more, some "we're definitely gonna die" energy LOL, all with a smooth finish!"

The characters, Lachlan and Natasha, are well developed, and there are several others that readers will enjoy, along with a few who may not be as appealing. Get ready for a tale rich in action, combined with a love story that the author tells exceptionally well.

All Who Wander Kindle Edition by Joe Clifford

 Book Excerpt:

"One snowy night in 1998, Brooke Mulcahy's car slides off the road in rural Vermont. Her car is discovered. She is not. Twenty-one years later, Robert Kirby, Brooke's stepbrother, is paid a visit by a young woman (Lily), who claims to be Brooke's daughter. Since a tumultuous upbringing, Robert, formerly "Bobby," has enjoyed considerable success. Now an esteemed professor at a private Upstate New York university, Robert has just received a significant NEH grant. After Lily's visit, Robert's life is upended.

His wife Stephanie reveals she is unhappy in the marriage and takes their teenage son to visit her sister in PA. Brooke's former best friend, Aaron Reardon, still devastated from Brooke's disappearance, offers to help. And forever lurking in the background is Mike Rakowski, Brooke's ex, a possessive, abusive drug addict.

As Robert's world unravels, he revisits that night twenty-one years ago when everything went wrong, unearthing a horrible, bone-chilling secret. In the vein of Simone St. James' Sun Down Motel and other female-driven domestic psychological thrillers today, ALL WHO WANDER mines the depths of past transgression, begging the question: do past sin automatically negate future happiness?"

"All Who Wander" by Joe Clifford

My Sentiments:

All that is left to say is that 'All Who Wander' is a psychological thriller that will keep the reader turning the pages. This was quite a read of a dysfunctional family that was off the chart...on this 'haunting journey."

Be ready for a little bit of it all from a Vermont disappearance of two decades, secrets, and regrets of the past. This author gives the reader quite a read of a family with lots of trauma and the results from their past.
To understand this, we see the protagonist, Robert [Bobby] Kirby, half-brother, who will explore this family mess along with a horrible ending for him. However, some other lurking characters in the story gave me pause, such as Mike Rakowski, Aaron Reardon, and Brooke Mulchay.

You must pick up this read to see how this psychologically twisted mystery story will all emerge as it unravels.

The Resolution by Lachlan Pirie

 Book Excerpt:

"Jonathan Little, an ex-criminal lawyer, suggests to his cellmate, Daniel Rodriguez, that they should hatch a plan to "get rid" of their wives – who they hate more than anything – for good.

Their plan is fool-proof and would be perfect if not for the tenacity of Daniel's wife – the beautiful, courageous, life-embracing Janet Rodriguez.

What starts as a vengeful plot turns into a story of misplaced love and recompense as both men face the women who absorbed most of their lives.

Uniquely Australian, this satire of love gone wrong is an elaborate thriller that begs the question: at what point is there no turning back?"

"The Resolution" by Lachlan Pirie

My Sentiments:

This author gave the reader quite a read in keeping up with what was going on with these characters. Be ready for many twists and turns, along with quite a suspenseful read in this 'dark humor and satire read.' Indeed Daniel and Jonathan were some strong characters, and let's not leave out Janet, which slightly offered some dark humor to the story. By the way, these characters had been in prison. Unfortunately, to get the whole story, you will have to put up this read...which is rather long to get the story that will keep you turning the pages to the end, especially if you like suspense.
