My Thoughts:

"Out Of The Ashes" was the first in the series Danger in Destiny, which featured Megan and Bryce. They had once been boyfriend-girlfriends during high school, but something happened that caused Megan to leave the area after she turned 18 without telling anyone but her best friend, Paige. 

Now, Megan returns due to her father's death. This intriguing and suspenseful story will keep readers turning the pages to see who and why someone is trying to hurt Megan.   

Will Megan and Bryce be able to get back together after everything is sorted out about why she left town in the first place? You will have to pick up this good series to see how well this author reveals it all to the readers. 

I recommend this novel as a good read.

"It Starts With A No" by Trisha Grace

My Opinion:

"It Starts With A No" was a captivating story with lots of twists and turns, and then, in the end, we are given a cliffhanger. So, I just wanted you to know what to expect in the end. The story had some alluring characters...Clary and Seth, along with some secondary characters that will keep your attention as they interact back and forth, will entertain the audience. The story will give the reader quite a read in how Clary was very well, while the brothers weren't so lucky, having had a lot of trauma in their life due to a certain... I didn't quite understand the thought process of this benefactor. I am sure there will be more about him in future reads. Will the benefactor honor and do as he had promised to Seth? The reader will have to pick up "It Starts With A No" to get more of the story to get this and more. We find as the story continues, there will be threats, suspense, Christian expectations, and some romance involved in the story that will keep one turning the pages to see what is coming next. As we get to the end...well, to get the next part, we will have to get book 2 to see how things will turn out for Clary and Seth, and I guess the rest of his brothers.

My Opinion:

'Wounded Heart' featured Jackson Reed [Jax], who had once been a reporter but now 'a New York Times bestselling author. We find Jax was working on his latest book ...Jeffrey Maddock. What happens when Jax gets connected with Ebony Hampton [an FBI agent], who was an old flame that he had been engaged to some fifteen years ago. The story will be interesting as these two start to work together as they investigate this serial killer Jeffrey Maddock. What will happen when this killer has something important that he will leave the prison to share with Jax and Ebony about a friend of his named Rosalind Sullivan? I liked how this author brings the story altogether about Jax's family on his mother's side. Will Jax and Ebony finally get back together after 15 years apart? To get the above questions answered and much more, you will have to pick up 'Wounded Heart' to see how the story will all come out to the reader.

The slight pinch in those features from the sudden headache the captain was experiencing would, of course, have been glossed over.

 “Wow,” said Lieutenant O'Reilly. “Have ever you read such bombast in all your life, Captain?”

 Captain Ironwood Hamilton shook his head slowly, slowly because of the headache that was increasing every second.

 “It's only bombast if the Lofton County Free Voice can't do what it says. I rather think it can, or at least can make a gallant effort.”

 Lieutenant O'Reilly's green eyes got wide.

 “Captain, you're not serious! A Black newspaper? In Lofton County? They won't last a week!”

Captain Hamilton shook his head again and restrained his urge to rub his throbbing temples.

 “It's not 1819, and these are not amateurs we are dealing with. Just from this first issue, I know they have a good chunk of money in hand, dedicated people, and good strategic and tactical sense.”

My Opinion:

I found this read quite interesting with all that is going on around us that dealt with a little bit of it all from 'clean, faith, humor, surprises, twists, turns, mystery, and suspense.' I will say that some well-written characters [with Captain Hamilton being one my favorite] will keep you turning the pages to see what is coming next in this systemic racism read that has gone on even in our country. Be ready as the subjects go around 'law, order, race, romance, yes some romance, policing, and history' as we are given a story that will give one a lot to ponder over long after the read that deals so well with racism, yes even in our country. To get the whole story, you will have to pick up the good read 'Black, White, and Red All Over' to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader.
