"Private Sins" by Brenda Barrett was indeed a wonderful read.  This was my first read by this author and I was very impressed with its realistic storyline that deals with 'betrayal, adultery, love and forgiveness.'   The characters were all very well developed and well portrayed, colorful and believable.  In the end you are only left wanting the entire series:  'Three Rivers.'

Book Descriptions:
"Kelly was in deep trouble; her husband was a pastor and she his loyal first lady. Well she was…until she had an affair with Chris; the first elder of their church. And now she was pregnant with his child. Could she keep the secret from her husband and pretend that all was well? Or should she confess her private sin and let the chips fall where they may?"

"Private Sins" was definitely a novel that was hard to put down and will leave you with only a good moral thoughts  behind this awesome  story that I would recommend as a excellent read.

"The Kingdom Treasure" by Greg Treseder was a very good and well written read that I thoroughly enjoyed.  I liked how the author was able to bring the story with the 'pre WWII' history in this Asian region.  The story was very interesting about the 'buried treasure' and the twist in the story really kept you turning the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next.  I found the characters well developed and somewhat colorful only making this a good read.
"The Kingdom Treasure" had a wonderful description with all of the challenges that were presented to each characters  and how they were dealt with.  All in all this was a good  'historical fiction adventure' that I would definitely recommend to you.

"The Glass Wives" by Amy Sue Nathan was a different kind of read for me but it was a good contemporary read about relationships and family.

The story as on the back of the cover:

“There’s no love lost between the ex and the widow.” No question this is an understatement. It’s been several years since Nicole Glass had an affair with, then married Evie Glass’s husband, Richard. Yet, after Richard’s death, Evie chooses to see past her animosity—partially for financial reasons but also for the sake of her 10-year-old twins and Nicole’s baby Luca—and invites Nicole to move into her home."
Now, how is this to work ...as you read you will see that his author 'handles this with honesty, humor and empathy.'   You will be drawn into it all.. 'from kitchen and food preparation to visits for memorable best friends and family time with Nicole and Evie's children.'   This author did a wonderful job at showing the lives of "The Glass Wives" which ended as a blended 'Glass Family.'  This novel was definitely one 'from friendship to marriage...to family relationships  to motherhood.'  I think I understood this novel a little more though reading.  This novel wasn't just about there last names but now they say themselves in each other.  This was a family not merely by blood but caught up into a situation where it can be friends, neighbor, strangers and in this situation.. ex's that were forced to redefine family after a life changing event.

This one was a thought provoking read that will leave you with some thoughts long after the read.  Would I recommend?  YES!

"Taken By Storm" by Kelli Maine was the second in the series: 'Give & Take #2.'
As this saga continues you will find that in this novel will be filled with "mysteries, deception, secrets and much danger. This was the story of MJ Rocah.  Here is a little about what this series is about....

"Book 2 in the Give & Take series follow the story of MJ Rocah. MJ has been living in a hidden world in and out of board schools being hidden away from his father. While he spent summers at the Rocah Estate he formed a friendship with Maddie Simcoe. Maddie and MJ formed a bond as children and it eventually turned into more. But like everyone in his life Maddie leaves, with no explanation and doesn't return..."
What are the circumstances that are keeping Maddie and MJ apart?  Maddie had left 'Turtle Tear Island and now she was back.  Will these two be able to 'share the secrets and manage to get back together again? What will happen when Merrick finds out this secret?  This is where I say you must read this good read "Taken By Storm" to see what all in going on this this tale.  This will be a novel that will keep you guessing but in the end... The characters were all more or less very well developed in this turbulent ride only to want the next series.

If you are in for a good read with some of it all...suspense and romance you have come to the right place for this series "Taken By Storm" would be recommended to you.

'Screwed" is definitely a page turning that once you start reading you will know want to put it down until the very end. This is a read that a lots of teenagers have had to face and I would definitely would  recommend to book to all teens to read.

"Savin' Me" by Alannah Lynne  was a good contemporary romance that was really a good read.   This was a story of learning to' trust and over come insecurities,'  I enjoyed this author writing style with allowing the reader to be brought into the story.  Who knew that from a one night stand... Kat relocates to a new town and as it turns out Erick will be one of Kat's new clients.  Will this ruin her chances with the new company that she is now working for?  Well, for a while it seems like neither one of these two are looking for a relationship.  However, will either be able to get the other person out of their minds and keep things purely professional?

This was a good read and as you see the  sexual chemistry between Erik and Kat you will be found turning the pages to find out what will happen next.  You will find that in your reading you will get a 'story that will  unfold through flashbacks of what had previously happened between the two characters.'  You will find that both characters were realistic, likable, well driven and even strong minded and with all of this will bring out a very good read from this author.

I would recommend this read as a good fast paced contemporary romantic read.

Review:

"Love On The Run" by Elizabeth Cole was a well written contemporary mystery, suspenseful romantic read. We find Callie Reed is on the run to Montana  because she has just witnessed a murder.   Who would have thought Callie would meet country sheriff Jake Brand who 'saves her life.' However, when Jake asked her one thing:  'the truth' will Callie be honest with him and tell him all.  This is where I say you must pick up "Love On The Run" to find out  will the truth come out and if so what will happen to these two: Callie and Jake?  Will Jake be able to keep her 'safe and bring down the bad guy?

If you are in for a quick read, good story and even believe in love at first sight...then "Love On The Run" would be recommended as a good read for you.

Series:  Wishing Rock #1
Review:

"Letters from Wishing Rock" by Pam Stucky was a different intake of storytelling through emails, letters and yes, even recipes.   This was some read...'an entire town living in a five story building' in this small town where you get to know each other through emails they sent to each other. Now you know that there would be some drama with that...dealing with people with all sort of issues.  You will find that their will be a 'few wise people giving good  and sound advice with others...well will make 'questionable choices.'  Be ready for a read that will present some 'intense, sad and very dramatic moments.  The characters...Ruby, Erin Pip, Ed, Jake, Pip, Millie and Gran were really very colorful and fascinating  just being so entertained through the emails and text to each other. I found some of this was too funny where I would find myself laughing out loud at all of their 'shenanigans.'  If you are looking for a light entertainment...I would definitely recommend "Letters From Wishing Rock."  Be sure to check out the recipes.
