"Where Would I Be" by Laura Johnson

My Thoughts....

What a story this author gives the reader quite a story of Lisa Jenson and Marcella [Marc] Cavell. 'Where Would I Be' entails a little bit of it all from 'love, manipulation, possessiveness, triumph, loss, drama, depression, strength, family, friends and to redemption.'  This story will put one on quite a horrible emotional ride of a survivor's life of domestic abuse. Who will survive?  This author really does a good job with relating this story to her readers being once herself caught up not once but twice in domestic violence where it touches parents and even children too. Many questions will be identified and answered in this read that will be a great help with anyone going through domestic abuse or one knowing someone who has been a victim .... such as 'Is there life after domestic violence?' How will this love story work its way out? Will this James Harris change for he good or what?   This is where I say you will have to pick up this good read to see for yourself how well this author brings it all out to the reader. Will this heroine be able to to love again?  I loved how this author brings out Lisa's strengths. This was a very touching story that as you read one can quickly be caught up in the emotions of it all where it will feel so real. This is definitely a good read that I would recommend and knowing that 'true love will conquer all.

"Ever Ever" by Jude Deveraux

What I enjoyed from this read....

I liked this well written story that kept my attention from the start all the way to the end of this good story which happens to be  the third in this Nantucket Brides Trilogy.  This was quite a interesting story of how a family member can betray you.  I am not sure I wouldn't have taken the road at the end that this heroine took concerning here step sister  but I guess it turned out for the best.  It was a blessing for Hallie to have met Jaime in Nantucket and what a mess he had been through but with Hallie's help will something come of this connection?    

This will be quite a interesting read about that step sister of Hallie's [what a messed up person she was] and  those hunky Taggert  and Montgomery men!   Indeed from all of the characters that are presented in this story were simply off the chart...well developed, defined, portrayed and so very believable. Some  of the characters you will like while others well...you will have to pick up this read to see for yourself who they are.   

I loved how this author was able to bring in those 'meddling ghosts' that  will  surely keep your attention  just waiting for them to show up.  And let's not leave out those beautiful weddings that took place.  Now to get it all  from what happens to Hallie  that gets her in , her crazy acting sister, Branden, meeting Jaime and much more you will have to pick up "Ever After" and see for yourself how well this author brings it all out for the reader.

What I liked from this novel...

This as another one of this author's Mom Con novels and this time it was featuring: "Mom Con: Showtime."  When you think that Anita Henry has this con thing all but behind her well she is found at it again due to the fact that someone knows who she is.  Even though this is the third novel on the Mom Con collection I think you should read the first and second novel first before reading this one.  I believe it will make better sense to the reader.  What happened in the last novel will be explored quite deeply in this third novel: Mom Con:  Showtime.  I did find this novel as with the other two novels very well written and the characters are so real, believable and interesting.  I even found some of the read even funny due to what was going on at that time.  Anita Henry really keep your attention as you will be reading along at a good pace turning the pages and the ending I do believe was the end for this series.  I found this novel to be a good read  and I think it would be especially good for the women's fiction readers.  Would I recommend?  Yes....all three of the Mom Con reads by this author.

What is this novel about?

What I enjoyed from this read...

This novel continues from this author's first novel: Mom Con where we find Anita Henry having to make some more important decisions in her life which involves her old boyfriend, Drake, an ex and a new boyfriend.  I really enjoyed how this author brings it all out to the reader and gives us a very good conclusion to it all in the end.  I would suggest that you read the first book by this author, 'Mom Con' to fully understand what all has gone on previously  with Anita Henry.  "Mom Con: A Tangled Web" was a good read that will keep your attention because there will be a lots going on in Anita's life.  Would I recommend?  Yes!
