My Thoughts....


This was a well written contemporary romance story about Mason and Nicole with some very captivating characters who are well developed, deep and complexed that will keep your attention.  I found this read a very riveting intensive read with such a interesting storyline. Basically what is this story about or better still let's get 
this question answered ...  What will happen when Mason [the adopted brother] has strong feelings for his sister [Nicole] where he becomes her protector, best friend and even more?'   Well, to find out all of this and more you will have to pick up 'Torn' to find out.  

Be ready for a story that will have a little bit of it all from 'mental and physical abuse, obsession, emotional rollercoaster ride, lust, love, intense, drama-filled, angsty, sadness, steamy hot love scenes [dark & raw] and so much more.'  This author really touches on as subject that is somewhat was 'scary, however this is one true topic that is very much alive and definitely happens in our world. It was interesting seeing how it all works out for Mason and Nicole. Will they finally get their HEA?

"Persuasion" by J. L. Campbell

My Thoughts...

I loved this sweet romantic coming of age story that dealt with Yolanda and Gary.  It was quite interesting seeing these  two opposites come together in a very dramatic read.  Yolanda was definitely a stand your ground, sweet personality, with family issues [mistrust] while knowing what she wanted in her life  and while  Gary was one who could be sweet but quite moody [mean] also especially when it came to his 'internal struggles he had with his relationship with his father. As I read through this story I was able to better understand just why Gary acted the way he did as we find out why he had such anger issues. What will happen when the truths that had been held from Gary as a child are now revealed? By the end of this story will  Gary and Yolanda be able to survive each other's misgivings as they try for a 'Persuasion' relationship?  Who will be the one who did most of the persuasion? This novel is the third in this series in 'Sisters-in-Love  and I loved how this author was able to catch the reader up with previous characters that added so much to the story.  Even though this is a standalone read I would recommend that you read the entire series [Book 1 & 2 -Natasha's and Kelleigh's stories] to better understand a little more of what has gone on earlier in  this series.

My Thoughts....

This was a interesting twist if a story with a college student Kelleigh who had interest in a a performing artist and her math tutor at the same time.   How did all of this start? Well when Kelleigh sent a text by mistake to the wrong Josh that is what stated all of this drama!   See, her boyfriend the musician was named Josh and Joshua was her tutor.  The plot of the story will tend to keep your interest due to the fact you will find yourself caught up in just what was going on in Kelleigh's head that particular day tie of the day.  I will say Kelleigh rather got on my nerves with all of the drama she got herself into especially when she didn't seem to want to listen to anyone who was giving her some sound advice about her life from her parents, sister and best friend. I guess for some they will have to almost go down with the ship before they need saving as it seemed for poor Kelleigh.  I was able to see by the end of the read which way the author was bringing it all to the reader that really helped in better understand the reasoning that this story was presented to the reader.  I loved the setting of this story being in Jamaica and the characters for the most part were all well developed, portrayed and even believable giving this read four stars from a very 'exhausted' 😌but yet a interesting read.  Now to find out how it all comes together  sit back and get ready to read  'Fixation' where it all begins and see if it will be all fixed by the end of this coming of age story.
