"Sevyn" by Keta Kendric

My Assessment:

'Sevyn' was an action-packed, entertaining paranormal romance read that will keep you turning the pages to see what's coming next. The author did a fantastic job putting Dana, aka Sevyn, who worked for the TOP agency that dealt with supernatural monsters, and Neal together, who worked for the same TOP agency, but now he was assigned for Dana's security. So, they both had some superpowers. Dana wanted revenge for what had happened to her mother, but it looks like she didn't have all of the correct facts about what happened to her in that situation. And it appears that Neal had his own set of problems with what had happened to him earlier in his life. Will these two be able to sort out the battle that was going on with them as secrets start coming out? However, as the two got closer, they were now working together hunting these monsters. Will there be a love story coming from all this between Dana and Neal? To find out the answers to many of the questions, the reader will have to pick up this good read and see how well this author brings it all out. And the reader will be left wanting to know more about Neal's story.

My Synopsis....

I really liked this sequel that continued on featuring Brishen, Ildiko, Anhuset and a some more characters [Wraith Kings] with their own personalities that will keep you turning the pages  with this author giving the reader a well developed written tale about the world of the Kai. The story did indeed keep me enthralled as the reader will see what Brishen does in order to try to save his people that could possibly cost him his life.  Be ready for a story that will have a little bit of it all which features a "world ending struggle, ongoing tale of romance, emotional rollercoaster, magic, fantasy, loyalty, sacrifice, friendship and honor. along with suspense, political intrigue and the impossible mission to save the world."  I will say you really should read the first 'Wraith Kings, book 1 in Radiance" to truly enjoy this fabulous second book 2 "Eidolon" that will give the reader a captivating read at its fullest in tragedy and triumph.

In the end the reader gets one awesome  fantastic read filled with romance, action and intrigue that will leave you wanting more of the 'Wraith Kings Series.'

Thirst By: Jacquelyn Frank

Book Description....

"A hidden society of vampires—and the humans they love—are at the heart of this opening novel in a biting, all-original series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Nightwalkers saga.

Rafe DaSilva is an energy vampire, soaking up nourishment from the sun—and, only when necessary, drawing sweet sustenance from humans who are pure in body and spirit. As the right-hand man to his queen, Rafe is a key player at a historic peace summit in New York City, which will unite the vampire nations against a common threat: the sycophants, who feed on humanity and kill indiscriminately. But Rafe’s fascination with a beautiful blond police detective may put everything at risk.

Detective Renee Holden has never worked a homicide quite like this. The victim has twin puncture wounds on his neck, and the only eyewitness swears she saw a vampire. Now’s definitely not the time to get distracted by a seductive stranger. But the suave, darkly austere, exotically handsome Rafe DaSilva is a hard man to deny, and as Renee falls under his spell, she also falls prey to his enemies. Desperate to protect her, Rafe lifts the veil on a shadow realm she can only visit—a world of intoxicating power, terrifying dangers, and forbidden pleasures."

"Thirst" by Jacquelyn Frank

My Thoughts.....

This one was one a PNR suspenseful story line.  The story was of a homicide detective [Renee Holder] with a witness claiming that a vampire attacked the victim.  Now with unusual murder on her hands [the victim had vampire puncture wounds] she get involved in the their 'vampire world'. The vampires were definitely different than the regular ones that I have read about. These vampire got there energy from the sun[they feed off of human's energy and not blood].  Be ready for a long read as this story comes together as we find Renee a very strong and independent woman [sometimes too much]who dealt with some emotional raw connections dealing with a romance with Rafe DeSilva[who was a energy vampire]. Now, this is where I hope the story would pick up but what I was left wondering if I had missed something. However, I kept on reading and by the time I got to the end I thought this novel was a OK read especially if you are into paranormal reads 'with murder, romance, suspense, energy sucking vampires, sycophants who feed and murder humans to stake their feeding lust.'  In other words the readers will see clean energy vs unclean energy sources. In the end will Rafe be able to protect Renee?  This is where I say you will have to pick up this unusual read to see what all with happen to Renee, Rafe and those sycophants,  Since this read was the first of 'The Energy Vampire' it will be of interest what the author has planned in the next series.

"Emerald Fire" by Suzanne M. Sabol

My Thoughts...

This was the sixth in the Blushing Death series...'Emerald Fire.' If you like paranormal with vampires, wolfs, zombies, dark magic, supernatural,  romance [love triangle], shifters, witches, other magical creatures and lets not leave out the hot steamy sex scenes you have come to the right place for this read will give it to you and so much more one good read.  Not only does this author give you a 'drop dead beautiful vampire, sexy werewolf, a totally kick butt heroine but lots and lots of action to back it up with some off the chart well developed and portrayed characters' that will keep your attention all the way through the good read to the end of this series. I loved how this author was able to bring this story into sync...especially with two alpha males and with the old and new enemies there will be a lots of action with twist and turns going on.  Be ready for 'bodies starting to pile up, dark magic coming as a high ranking vampire board member invade Dahlia's territory.'  Will Dahlia be able to survive all of this and more?

I will say this author gives and keeps the reader quite  interested reading  as we see how the three of them coexisting [Dahlia, Patrick & Dean]as she 'continues to weave a story as she builds the couple's dynamics with the men in Dahlia's life along with the other secondary characters' as they tie it altogether into this last series.  Would I recommend this paranormal/urban/fantasy? YES!
