"Hidden Enemy" by J.L. Campbell

My Insight:

Mia possesses an extraordinary gift: her memory is a vivid tapestry woven with intricate details, allowing her to recall moments with breathtaking clarity. In contrast, Maxine grapples with the haunting burden of prophecy, her visions often casting shadows on their future. Together, these twins form an unparalleled alliance, a dynamic force that demands careful stewardship. For as long as they can remember, The Castle has been their sanctuary—a majestic refuge filled with warmth and familiarity—until the shattering loss of their mother sends ripples of grief through their lives, altering everything they once knew.

In search of solace, the sisters embark on a journey to the distant land of Durabia, where the sun-drenched landscapes and gentle breezes offer a temporary balm for their aching hearts. However, the tendrils of their past are relentless, and peace proves elusive. Upon their return to the United States, they find themselves at a treacherous crossroads, where the wounds of history collide with an uncertain future, leading to a gripping confrontation. Dark forces, sinister and relentless, infiltrate The Castle, and the sisters are ensnared by those seeking to exploit their remarkable gifts, willing to manipulate fate at any cost.

Bound together by the weight of their heritage and the shimmering promise of what is yet to come, Mia and Maxine must summon every ounce of strength. Their tale unfolds within the backdrop of a profound spiritual battle that transcends time and geography, paving the way for an epic conflict that reverberates across continents and beyond. Join them on their arduous journey as they navigate daunting challenges with unwavering courage and indomitable determination!

My Sentiments:

The Hobbit Encyclopedia was quite interesting. It told us about the characters [with my favorite ones being Bilbo Baggins, Galadriel, Gandalf, and Legolas, to name a few]. It continues to its Peoples and Creatures and the Languages and writing systems that will keep one's interest as you turn the pages for more. This encyclopedia will be fantastic with all its illustrations, especially if you are into the Hobbits story and the Lord of the Rings series. I recommend you pick this one up.

My Opinion:

If you are into Post-Apocalyptic Science Fiction, read with some Christian endeavors you have come to the right place for a good read as we read about "Roya Whitmore and her family that faced trials and tribulations after the loss of her husband Solomon Whitmore and their twin boys."  This will be a story of how the"'Antichrist stamps his mark [microchip] in each individual with the use of biometric technological, and biological  a tracking device that keeps tabs on the human race as this New Ruler, with the help of Les Blanche and Hadrianus including the Task Force Ops."

How will this family make it out of this mess, especially after Roya's husband has been killed?  Will she be able to move from Florida to California and be safe?  Well, will things weren't too good for them, and she and her daughter will be to leave there and go to Phila where her twin boys are in school.  What will bring her back to California...a wedding.  Yes, Roya's sister is getting married, and Roya goes to her wedding.  Now, what strangeness will come from the wedding that will bring in help from Flordia.

This is one story that you will have to pick up and read for yourself, and I don't want to give too much away.  The ending will leave you wanting more and giving you scriptures to help one understand more in the story.  In the end 'will this family mend those ties, or will they be marked?"   All that is left to say is pick up "Marked Souls" and see for yourself how well this author brings the reader a good read.

My Thoughts....

What a captivated read that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next in this urban fantasy/paranormal read!  This was indeed a good read of a bad boy demon finally getting his redemption.  Is this what happens when a jaded demon and a warrior angel come together? What was the secret that Anya kept from Dommiel? Why was finding Uriel so very important for Anya?   Be ready for a read with lots of action, very intensed 'story between good and evil, hatred, love, vengeance, salvation'  and with some very complexed and passionate characters. And let's not leave out the hot passions of attraction as these two Dommiel and Anya who journeyed  through the depths of darkness had for each other. Will Anya be able to put her 'trust in this high demon Dommiel to find Uriel and save her soul.' What I especially enjoyed about this story was how the author brought in that 'a soul can always be saved."

So, if you are into reading a good story in the Dominion series ... I would definitely recommend "Darkest Heart" and all you will get from the characters, the romance and the world lore...you will simply enjoy it all.

"Operation Phoenix" by Susan Hayes

My Thoughts...

This was quite a interesting story that dealt with Lieutenant Trinity West and Commander Dax Rossi who had known each other for many years.  But after the death of Trinity's brother [Travis] ten years earlier things had greatly changed for her and definitely how she felt toward Dax [her brother's best friend].  Why was this?  What had happened had something to due with how the death of Trinity's brother.  Now Trinity and Dax are being thrown together because her base was being investigated [a cold case] for thefts that had happened years ago from the 'Vault of the Fallen.'  Now Commander Dax and his team of the Nova Force are there to solve this problem.  So with Trinity and Dax having had a history together that didn't end well how will all of this come out as secrets of their past start to come out along with what has gone on with the thefts on the base?  Will these two be able to find their happiness as lots of secrets and mysteries come out?  This author did a wonderful job at letting the readers into Trinity and Dax's complicated past which was sweet from their young love but then came the broken hearts and then death that pulled them apart.  Now, that they are having to work together will these two be able to mend their relationship in this second chance at love and learning to trust again while all heck is going on around them in trying to solve a old mystery and find the identity of the thief?  I loved the characters who were all so well developed, portrayed, outstanding interaction with this Nova Force 3 team, 'I've got your back' and some believable helping to give the readers a story that was emotional, suspenseful, and  mysterious read with wonderful action scenes while keeping the reader wondering whodunit.  In the end will we get 'who had stolen the DNA of the Fallen' and will Trinity and Dax get their second chance at a HEA?  To find out you will just have to pick up this good science fiction read  "Operation Phoenix" to find out!

"What Lies Within" by James Morris

My Thoughts....

This was quite a interesting mystery thriller read that once I started reading it I wasn't able to put it down until the end.  Everything seemed to be going great for Shelley Marano...and then she receives a text from a brother that she didn't know she had saying .... [YOU'RE GOING TO DIE].  Now what was up with that? ...And then there is more...Shelly was also told that she was adopted and in danger. Now what is going on in Shelley Marano life...where she had been a happy senior in high school...looking forward to going to college...working at  her father's auto body shop and best friends with Winston?  Now for Shelley...it seems like her life has been turned upside down and this is where I will stop and say that you will have to pick up this fast paced, well written story to find out what all will come of Shelley Marano.  It will be one ride with many twist and turns, drama, suspense with some real intriguing characters that will keep you turning the pages wanting to know what will be coming next in this good read.  Will 'Nature vs. Nature'  win out in the end for Shelley?  I love how the storyline presented which showed  the growth of this heroine ....Shelley definitely learning just who her true  loyal friend really was in the end.  Will life for Shelly ever be the same after 'a series of terrifying revelations that she goes through?'  Again you will have to pick up the read to see how this author presents it so well to the readers.

As I came to the end of this novel I was left wanting more answers like... ['who are the others...and who is this real Shelley?'], so I hope there will be a sequel for more of this story.

Thank you to the author for letting me read your novel  and give my honest  opinion of the read.

I received free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.  Thank you so much for letting me read your novel.

Review:

"One Man's Island" by Thomas J Wolfenden was a very captivating novel that I found hard to put down this 'end of the world' fictional story.  This was definitely a post apocalyptic world that had a new hero by the name of Sergeant Major Tim who gives the reader a thrill of a ride that has hope and glory.  I really enjoyed the good story that this author gives the reader especially the magic that is brought in.  I found the characters were very believable that were set in this post Apocalypse world.  The time this author spent in one of the world's elite Light Infantry Regiment ranks, 75th Ranger Regiment was indeed of great interest in this read.  I enjoyed this plot and there were so many twist and turns that really will keep the reader interested to see what is coming next.  If you are looking for a fascinating, entertaining and just good story you have come to the right place for "One Man's Island" would be recommended for you.
