"Outrunning God's Love" by Karen Adams

My Sentiments:
'Outrunning God's Love' was an excellent read that covered the subject matter from its: Introduction, Necessary Forgiveness, Looking for Love, Mending Mistakes, Turning Point, Still Running, Endless Cycles, Broken People, Broken Places, Held Together, Trouble Won't Last and final Prayer giving the reading quite an outstanding read coming from this author: Karen Adams.

I got from this read that Karen's life had been quite challenging with her mother not showing love to her. With Karen being molested at three years old...wow! From being abused often by men up until the age of 11 years old, it didn't stop there as Karen's sexual abuse went on with all of the men that she was involved with. Getting marriage at 14 and pregnant [however, her mother had it annuled]. But then pregnant at around 17 years old.

As her life went on...she had two friends...Klarke and Mom C. were with her through her up and downs, and believe me, she had lots of those, but it was God that was her whether she knew it or not. These friends were some praying ladies who truly loved God. I loved how Karen had these two friends who would drop whatever they did to pray and help her any way they could, especially let's not leave out Mom C's hugs. By the way, Karen when to church as a child.

Karen learned a lot over the years, and one thing was for sure even though you may be a church member doesn't make it a sure thing; you know it all. Yes, church people can hurt you! This is where you trust only in God. I am not saying all Christians are like this, but I will say there are many strange Christians around that can cause all kinds of problems and are not of God.

We see that Karen also had an addiction, which involved drug problems [after meeting several of her men friends], several nervous breakdowns, surgeries, therapy, and also in mental hospitals over her duration before she could come out of all of these situations.

What was really going on with Karen? Oh, she had two sons and three daughters. I really felt for her sons in how they were treated... especially the first one, all due to how Karen had been treated by the men she had been with over the years. So, she was an abuser.

I love the question God asked Karen...'What have I done to cause you to separate yourself from me?' We find Karen would go to church, and she talked to many pastors...but it seemed like whenever he did go to church, there would always be something that would stop her...people were talking about her! Did she not know that's what some people TALK about? Who she should have been talking to was GOD! And then, LISTEN! And let's now forget those best friends she had [Klarke and Mom C, who were constantly praying and trying to help her!

What Karen wanted was someone to LOVE Her! Didn't she know that these bags of bomb men she was getting with were not worth the time of day...but she wanted to be married so that she would find a married one or that Useless one that would lie to her, and she believed it.

One thing is for sure...Our God is Perfect. Forgiveness is the path that did finally help Karen with her mom and sons. No one should 'except verbally, physical or sexually abuse'...this is not OK!

Wow, this was some read that had me in tears at times, but seeing Karen finally gets the meaning of having God in one's life and depending only on him. If you want a husband...pray for God to give you one that will love HIM first, and it will all come together for you.

There is so much more I would love to say...but I will stop here and say pick up 'Outrunning God's Love' and see how it all did come out for Author Karen Adams. Well done story, and one will learn from this, especially if you are going from any of these situations.

Karen Adams, may our God ever bless and keep you in his will. Thank you for your telling your story. This story will help many people, so please pick this one up to read.

My Assessment: 'An exceptionally thought-provoking and intriguing story of heartbreak and hope.'
'The Birthday Gift' was an enjoyable, uplifting, inspirational story; although it had sadness, this novel offered 'love, faith, belief, emotions, hope, and forgiveness.'

Be ready for a 'thought-provoking and intriguing story' where one will see the hope for the future in this increasingly violent world.' I do not want to give any of this read away, but I like the reader to pick up this excellent read and see how well this author brings it out to the reader.

My favorite was the novel's Chapter 8, Restoration ... Psalms 23 [which is my favorite verse]: where every verse is explained so very well, and at the time of reading this...I needed it! Here is the quotation referred to:

"God says to you, "I will restore your soul. I will reach into the deepest part of your soul, to the place that nothing else can touch, and I will restore your soul. I will heal your heart. I will refresh your spirit." You need that, don't you? The Birthday Gift Book 1 28 When you are weary and burdened, you need your soul restored. When you are overwhelmed and undone, you need your soul restored. When you feel guilt and shame, you need your soul restored. When you are assailed by fear and worry, you need your soul restored. When you feel wounded and hurt, you need your soul restored. When you feel alone and rejected, you need your soul restored. When you feel angry and rejected, you need your soul restored. At all of these times and more, you need God to do for you what you cannot do for yourself: heal your soul. Nothing else can do it. Not entertainment. Not a weekend off. Not sports. Not exercise. Not television. Not a vacation. Not shopping. Not your hobby. Nothing else can restore your soul. But the God who created the universe, the God who breathed life into Adam—he can do it. He can breathe life into your soul. He can make you alive again. It happens when you meet with God. When you connect with God. When you draw close to God. When you are alone with God. When you gather with God's people and worship. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, says to you even now, "Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." Christ can restore your soul."

This novel will keep you reading and turning the pages until the end. And seeing 'The Birthday Gift' is book 1...a series... the readers will be left looking forward to reading book 2 'Dear John.'

The Birthday Gift was an excellent read.

My Opinion:

What an excellent read of these "180 Bible Verses for Conquering Anxiety Devotions for Women" that were not only useful but so helpful, especially for those who suffer from anxiety.

It was enjoyable to read the heading then followed up with a Bible verse, ending with a devotion related to what was read earlier.

Be ready for a quick read of 180 verses that helps one to identify with what is mainly is bothering you. This part of the read was of interest and so genuine..."Have you ever noticed that when we get stressed out, we talk a lot? We ruminate with our friends about the cause of our anxiety. We complain to our family, trying to garner compassion."

If you suffer from stress, depression, and anxiety, let these 180 Bible verses could help your 'growth and relationship with Christ.'

It is vital that one take time each day 'to relax and surrender to what we fear so much in our lives, remember never to give up.'

Would I recommend this well-written scriptural read? YES, it was a worthwhile read.

May I Have A Word With You? Kindle Edition by Vanessa Davis Griggs

Profile:

"Devotionals to encourage and inspire using the Word of God on topics that people face in everyday life. May I have a word with you? actually comes from the sentiments expressed in “Let me talk to you” or “May I speak with you?” It’s a desire to chat with someone about something important. Another familiar expression may be, “Let me holla at you.” But the polite people generally ask permission first, respectfully saying, “May I have a word with you?” before sharing what they desire to say. For me, there’s nothing more glorious to share or talk about than the Word of God. Hence: May I have a “Word” with you?

God’s Word is rich and more powerful than a two-edged sword. The Word of God touches every area of our lives: spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and financially. No matter what’s going on; no matter what we may be going through: There’s a word in God’s Word. My prayer is that you’ll be encouraged, enlightened, inspired, and blessed beyond measure by these devotionals as you realize you’re not alone regardless of what it might feel like. God has a purpose for your life. God is there with you through it all—the good, the bad, and the ugly. And yes; God always has a WORD for us!"

My Thoughts.....

This was a beautiful testimony from this author but since my Kindle allows it to read to me...I felt that I was in church and listening to as it really ministered to my soul.  This was definitely a inspiring and powerful message that I needed to hear and be able to receive the message.  The wonderful definitions and biblical scriptures were right there for me to absorb which offered much encouragement to me. I loved how the author delivered the message about  being hurt, bitter and knowing we are not alone on this journey, 'to have faith, and know trouble don't last always!'  Thank you so much for this!  This is  great reference read that I plan to keep close. I may have to purchase a
paperback copy!

Thank you to the author for sharing your life of your pain, sorrow and rebirth with your readers.  I am sure it will help many who may be involved in a broken marriage, disappointing dreams and even thoughts of suicide by the reader but we are given hope and inspiration from the Bible with solutions that were from the 'Word of God.'

Process of Healing: involves...

Forgiving Yourself!
Stop the Condemnation!

Truly knowing that God will never leave or forsake me keeps me going daily!  So, I will say if you are 'hurt, bitter and or going through bad times' I would definitely recommend this book "That Was Then, This Is Now: This Broken Vessel Restored."  I loved the solution that was offered if you are a candidate for surgery if you have a broken heart and its solution being 'Jesus, the Christ.' And ending this beautiful well written read I will leave my favorite scripture that I love too..."And we know that ll things work together for good to those who love god, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Thank you to the author for a PDF read of your novel.  It was truly a blessing to me to have read it.

Back in the Saddle: A Novel (Double S Ranch) Kindle Edition by Ruth Logan Herne

Book Description...

"The Prodigal Is Coming Home

But when stock market manipulations leave him financially strapped, the oldest son of legendary rancher Sam Stafford decides to return to the sprawling Double S ranch in Gray’s Glen, Washington. He’s broke, but not broken, and it’s time to check in with his ailing father, and get his legs back under him by climbing into the saddle again.

He doesn’t expect to come home to a stranger pointing a loaded gun at his chest— a tough yet beautiful woman that Sam hired as the house manager. Colt senses there’s more to Angelina Morales than meets the eye and he’s determined to find out what she’s hiding...and why.

Colt’s return brings new challenges. Younger brother Nick has been Sam’s right-hand man at the ranch for years and isn’t thrilled at having Colt insert himself into Double S affairs. And the ranch’s contentious relationship with the citizens of Gray’s Glen asks all the Stafford men to examine their hearts about what it truly means to be a neighbor.  And as Wall Street recovers, will Colt succumb to the call of the financial district’s wealth and power—or finally the courage to stay in the saddle for good?"

"Back in the Saddle: A Novel" by Ruth Logan Herne

My Thoughts....

What a story this one was of the 'Double S Ranch # 1. This author does what she tends to do with all of her Christian reads and that is give the readers something to ponder over long after the read as she does for 'Back in the Saddle' and even giving her readers Bible verses and references to God. I loved the way the author presents themes toward the story ...'redemption, forgiveness and even the prodigal son example of the lost sheep parable.'

The story was indeed a emotional story one that run very deep without there being easy answers. As one sees two people the heroine & hero] who are falling in love again but should they? This was a very interesting process as they are able to get over so many obstacles that they faced. Definitely when it is all said and done there will be no easy answers. The characters [Colt, Angelina, Sam, Nick, Trey, Cheyenne, & Dakota] to name a few and all I can say is that they are really something else being well developed, defined, portrayed and even believable all giving the reader a well written read that will keep your attention throughout the novel.

We find this Stafford family was really like any other families and living 'imperfect lives.' Sam Stafford, who was a father, rancher, is ill and very stubborn but wanting to make amends with his sons. Why was this? But the beautiful thing was that God could come in in any situation and a present 'reconciliation, redemption and oh my even second chances.' However, will Colt want to accept these changes that his father has offered? There will definitely be be some spiritual lessons that will be learned from this wonderful unpredictable story. And will these "Stafford men be able to examine their hearts and truly learn what it means to be a neighbor to be able to save their relationship with the citizens of Gray's Gen?" What was going on with that situation? Now, I know there are many questions that has been asked and all will be answered by the reader picking up this read and seeing for yourself how well it is all brought out so well by this excellent storyteller.

By the end of the read all I can say is that "Back in the Saddle" is a story of 'family, faith, love and second chances' that was truly one wholesome good read. Next in this series is: "Home On The Range."

"I See You...You Cannot Hide!" by Dr. Dyon Cole

My Thoughts....

This was quite one thought provoking read after all is said and done.  I will say I got very upset with this heroine due to the fact that she seemed to have not to have learned a lesson from what had gone on with her life with that involved 'Levi' so many times.  However, as I  continued to read through this novel I was able to see why things had gone so badly for her even though she was now in the ministry. From this story the reader sees how this story shows us quite a story of all the 'self -deception, deceit, shame and rejection' that this person went through that had started from from her early childhood.  Why was this? Why did she feel like she had to get everybody approval?  Will there finally be a 'Healing and Deliverance' process for the heroine when she finally 'shares her process of acknowledge and comes to turns with the truth and finally ...finds healing , liberty and emancipation through Christ?'  "I See You...You Cannot Hide" was definitely a self help read through the Christian way offering help, scriptures and prayers.  I did feel that after this heroine saw that she couldn't go it alone and decided to finally share all with her 'sister' [for her sister had introduced Levi to her] and then life for her seemed to finally open up for her.  After she was able to confess her sins this became a new starting part of what she needed in this 'work in progress' for her. I will say this didn't happen over night for it took some time for this heroine to finally give it up with this young man who was seven years younger than her.  Now, to fully understand this novel totally because I didn't want to tell you too much other than to say you will have to pick this one up and see for yourself how well this author presents her story to the readers.  It will be quite one interesting read.

Beyond The Face Of The Movies By D.C. Lassiter

Book Description....

"Have you ever wondered why after watching a movie you are left with a residue of emotions? Perhaps after the credits have rolled off your screen, you've experienced a sense of peace, empowerment, exhilaration, fear or maybe a better understanding of how to deal with a personal issue you've struggled with.
Watching a Hollywood movie can be a bit like a brain teaser such as the Rubin Face which leaves you searching for the optical illusion and wondering whether you see the young lady or the old woman.
Many times God challenges us to go deeper than the surface of the movie, in the hope that we will discover principles that can be gleaned from beneath the excitement and buzz of the film. By juxtaposing Hollywood movies and biblical characters, the author connects the dots for the reader so that they are guided through fundamental biblical truths in order to better understand and navigate through their own life challenges on a daily basis.
What does Bruce Almighty have in common with the biblical Samson? What is Prophet Jonah doing in the Wizard of Oz instead of going down to Nineveh? Find out in this fun and feisty easy-to-read book, and while you are at it–take the time to look beyond the surface of the movie and you will sense God speaking to you in encouraging, practical and at times convicting ways."

"Beyond The Face Of The Movies" by D.C. Lassiter

My Thoughts....

This was quite a thought provoking read that will definitely keep your attention.  Why?  What was this novel about?  I liked how this author presented the reader with ... "This non-fiction book will produce meaningful lessons and real life examples in order to help its readers better navigate, naturally and spiritually, through devastating or wonderful circumstances in their own lives today."
I found it very alluring in how the author gives us as well analyzed contrast of the 'Hollywood and
Biblical movies along with their characters. As we read through each section of the contents from
"Supernatural Powers, Fallen, You Get What You Deserve, Sure of what you Hope for, Skin Deep, Perfectly Positioned, Uncertain, Unsinkable, Weeds of Life, A Shepherd With the Heart Of A King to Change' ['eleven short stories that can be read anytime separately or collectively']  the reader will get quite a exclusive nonfiction read where you will learn so much from each of the chapters that dealt with 'gratitude, stamina and self discovery.' It was very intriguing in how this author connects it all spiritually, using wisdom and even some humor.   One of my favorite chapters was "Supernatural Powers" that I thought was beautifully done as it brings out some very stimulating scriptures.  Why? Now, this is where I say you will have to pick this read up to see for yourself how well this author presents it to the reader.  Another one of my favorite chapters in this novel was the last one 'Change'
which talked about 'people will want to 'change.' At the end of the story I loved how this author ended this story of change...talking about Saul and  Ebenezer Scrooge....

"I would like to end this story with a part of the song Ebenezer Scrooge sang after he awoke the next morning, the morning after the scales came off his eyes, the morning after being in his own abandoned building waiting for the outcome of his life. He woke wanting to scream out what he had discovered at 1:00am, 2:00am, and 3:00am when the conflicts in his heart, mind, and spirit would not let him sleep. Scrooge wakes up and says this:

“Perhaps it didn’t happen after all, but perhaps it did. But I’m alive... I’M ALIVE!  I’ve gotta chance to change, and I will not be the man I was. I‘ll begin again... I‘ll build my life.... I will live to know that I fulfilled my life. I’ll begin today...throw away the past... and the future I will build will be something that will last. I will take the time... I have left to live, and I will give it all, that I have left to give. I will live my days, for my fellow men, and I live in Praise, of that moment when...
I was able to begin... again.”

Now, to truly understand the above quote you will have to pick up the wonderful read and see what it is all about for yourself.

After reading "Beyond The Face Of The Movies"  will it send you running out to buy the movie?  ..Well, if thIS  is so there will be definitely a great possibility that it may have you wanting to get your  popcorn and favorite beverage ready for your movie!

Will you find this novel a 'easy to read' book? Yes, just pick up this good read as you will be encouraged in more ways than one 'packed with principles and promises'  that I would recommend to you as a good read.

Thank you to the author/publisher for the PDF read  of 'Beyond The Face Of The Movies' for my honest opinion.

"Journey to Praise" by Jackie Dotson

My Thoughts....

This was a wonderful well written novel with this author showing an sharing her 'Journey to Praise' through consecrations and fasting.  I loved how this author was able to share her story with us as she starts 'using the tools that had been given to her from God.'  It all starts with her story...health challenges, finances which can lead to depression. What did God tell her to do in this situation she had been dealt? This will be a good read as Ms. Dotson is taken a quite a journey 'seeking and searching for a church  that would help her in her spiritual growth.'  What did she find on this journey?  As the reader reads through this novel we learn about just what consecration and fasting really means.  How does all of this work?  Well, just sit back an read about Jackie Dotson's  Journey to Praise as she explains it all as she tells her story backed up with scriptures on this beautiful road as Ms. Dotson 'lays out many of God's tools needed in order to receive the blessing He has for you'.  We will continue on this 'Journey after the 21st Day Fast.' This was beautifully delivered and then it's our turn where we get 'Your Journey to Praise' where we are 'to use the tools that God has given us.'  I loved how this author gives us each step...starting with 'The Fruits of the Spirit'  on to the ending which was to 'Be Hold in the Lord,'  At the end of the read we are presented a 21 day Journal with each step followed with the scriptures of praises to follow  which were inspired by biblical numbers for each day.' And the last section we will be presented the 'Journey Continues which was a *Special Bonus.*

Wow, this is a rich read that only will not  be fully understood until you pick up this excellent read of  "Journey to Praise" to see for yourself how well this message is brought out by this author.  This was indeed a good story of what "God did in Ms.Dotson's life.

Thank you to Ms. Jackie Dotson for giving me your novel for my honest opinion.  It was great reading you at the BWABC Literacy Festival September 19, 2015 and you giving me your book for a honest opinion of the read.

It's in Your Praise!: HOPE: Holiness. Obedience. Power. Expectancy. By: Dona Renay Patrick

Book Description....

"Award-winning author Donna Renay Patrick fuses praise, worship, and HOPE together. It’s in Your Praise! speaks of HOPE not as mere desire but as holiness, obedience, power, and expectancy. When we offer to God genuine praise, we can expect a changed perspective toward each of these things. When our praise is real, then inner transformation is inevitable.

For too long we have given God religion instead of relationship, great music instead of surrendered worship. In the chapter “The Call to Worship Revisited,” see the difference between words on the Sunday bulletin and a mindset of total worship. In the chapter “A Praise Unlimited,” learn how to create an attitude shift when you speak out God’s praises on a regular basis.

There is a definite connection between your private praise and your public praise. It’s in Your Praise! will help you to embrace the connection."

"It's in Your Praise!: HOPE: Holiness. Obedience. Power. Expectancy" by Donna Renay Patrick

My Thoughts....

This was a beautifully well written novel that gives us 'HOPE: Holiness...Obedience....Power and Expectancy.' And its all in your Praise!  I loved how this author was able to bring each of those words out so well in her presentation to the reader that will definitely challenge you in your daily life to "re-think your praise and worship from a Biblical perceptive." .  Each chapter gives one a uplifting feeling  in the chapters...like "Keep Walking, Keep Standing, Praise Is Not Just For "Them" It's For You Too, For Hopeless to Hallelujah, Sing a Song of Worship, The Earth Is the Lord's, and The Struggle''to name a few. These and more of the chapters presented in this read are very powerful ones that are backed up with scriptures and words from this author that bring it all out so well to the reader. So, is there a 'connection between your private praise and your public praise?' There is so much to be learned from this read that I will only say that you must pick up "It's in Your Praise' to see  for yourself  how well this author delivers it to her readers.  I was left knowing...'It's in Your Praise' and knowing it's OK to take this higher in my praise and worship to God.   Yes, this is a Christian read that I would definitely recommend to you as a wonderful read.

I will say it was a pleasure meeting this author at the BWABC Literacy Festival in Memphis, TN September, 2015.  Thank you for your gift of your novel and  and allowing me to give  my honest opinion of the read.

Why I read this book....

I did a blog on my blog pager about this author and she offered her audience a chance to win a free copy of her novel..'Forty Days of Grace' and I was one of the winners!

What I enjoyed from the read...

This was some very beautiful prayer devotional's that I have ever read.  I was moved by each days reading that you are given each day.  The reader will be imparted the revelation and knowledge as you are given strength and encouragement for a total of forty days with one receiving 'God's triumphant Victory.'  These daily readings presented to the reader were  done so uniquely each day with the reader getting a revelation for just that day.  I also loved how that after each days devotion one will had a place to write for there daily prayer requests.

Memorable Moments....

"As you travel within the pages of Forty Days of Grace ~ A Prayer Devotional, the power of God is unveiled for you to know that His Grace is Sufficient and for you to daily experience His Abundant Grace."

Thank you to the author for a wonderful daily prayer devotional read that I plan to read over and over.

"Momma Said, "Hit 'Em Back!"    By:  Cynthia Amis Dickerson/ Marian Matthews Nance

A quote from this read by the author....

"Momma Said, "Hit 'Em Back!" inserted paragraph from Chapter 20:

Don't wait! If you know that you are tired of sinning and living a worldly life, give your life to Jesus Christ. Repeat these words. "I know that I am a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe by faith that, Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. God please come into my life and show me how to live for you."

What I liked from this novel....

I received this novel from the Author Cynthia A. Dickerson at a Book Festival in Memphis where she opened up the book and started reading to me.  I found this novel a short but very fascinating in that it definitely left me wanting to read this novel to see what all it had to offer.  I am so glad I did because I did find this read indeed a excellent read of redeeming hope for this young man named Louvious Johnson.  Being accused of a crime and spending fifteen years in prison...he walks out a free man.  What I loved about this read was how the author was able to bring out how Louvious to was delivered and saved while incarcerated.  I found this novel a very good  one is that you are able to feel the release as this character walks through it all and in the end becoming a....well I don't want to tell to much other than to pick up this is a excellent read of "Momma Said, "Hit 'Em Back!" This was beautifully brought out  of what can happen if you listen and be lead by God will.  You will feel the pain and struggle of this young man and in the end...what a new life that has been given to him.  The reader will be left wondering about the mother(Louvenia) of this young man. Wow, she was quite a character. I am sure we will find out more about her in the next novel by these authors......'Momma's  Journey to Hell and Back.'

My Overall impression of the read....

Besides this being a excellent read the authors also give the readers more food for thought as they present us at the end of the read with a workbook that "transforms the individual reader through introspection and group  verbal  stimulation that will bring about the insight  to resolve internal and external problems."  Would I recommend "Momma Said, "Hit 'Em Back!"  YES!

"Going Solo" by Brenda Barrett...

What is this novel about?

"Lead singer of the New Song Band, Carson Bell, had a lovely voice, a heart of gold, and was no slouch in the looks department. So why did his wife, Alice, abandon him and their daughter? And why after ten years was she now waltzing back into his life, wanting to pick up where they left off? Will Carson take her back, or will he choose to go solo for the rest of his life?"

What I liked about this book...

All I can say is that this was a good and very interesting Christian read about Alice and Carson.  This author gives the reader a well written novel that will address many interesting issues especially those dealing with church people.  It all goes  to show one that  it doesn't matter what position you may be in at church bad things can happen as it did for Alice.  The storyline and characters were really off the chart in that it was all very well written and I found the characters well developed, well portrayed, colorful, real and believable that helped to give the reader a wonderful read from start to finish.  How Alice made it though ten years after what had happened to her was truly something but it the end...well, this is where I will stop and say pick up "Going Solo" to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader.

What I especially loved about this read....

I love how we were able to see the 'Fruits of the Spirit" in this amazing novel....'Love, Forgiveness, Patience, and Longsuffering'  and in the end we were truly given a sweet ending.  All that is left is to get the next series...Duet on Fire.

Friday Night Love (Days of Grace V I) By Tia McCollors

Review:

"Friday Night Love" by Tia McCollors was a beautiful Christian fiction.  The author presented the readers with a wonderful well written story of  the Maxwell's...Zenja and Roman.

WHAT I REALLY LOVED ABOUT "FRIDAY NIGHT LOVE".

This story will take you though a marriage that is falling apart due to a 'dalliance with infidelity on the part of her husband, Roman.'  The only thing that Zenja wants is her husband gone from her life and precedes to help him pack up so he can leave, however that plan doesn't go as she plans, for he will return.    This novel will take the reader through quite a story from going on a cruise and Zenja meeting a old friend. How will this friend tie into this picture?   One thing that is for sure Zenja truly  has a friend named Caprice. For she is truly a woman of God and will introduce her friend Zenja to the 'seven step plan she has developed in her ministry called "Friday Night Love."

What was this "Friday Night Love?"  from a quote:

Over the course of seven weeks, the plan outlines a series

of assignments based on Ephesians 5:33, helping a wife

to cultivate respect for her husband. Rekindling their

relationship takes a lot of work, especially when the man

with whom Zenja nearly cheated on Roman refuses to

step out of the picture. Will their commitment to honor

God with their marriage pay off in the end?

I don't want to spoil it so you will have pick up "Friday Night Love" to see how this author will bring
it all out to the reader. Be prepared from the novel to  see how hearts be broken, mended,  uplifted, forgiveness, trust, faith  and in the end will there be  a 'commitment to honor God.'  So, will their marriage (Zenja and Roman Maxwell) be able to be saved?
.
The characters in this novel were simple off the chart...good,  all well developed, defined, interesting, real, colorful, well portrayed and believable... only to have the reader not wanting to put this book down until the end.

WHAT I ALSO ENJOYED ABOUT THE READ....

This was not only the hero and heroine's  story but the issue that seemed to be solved between the daughter in law and mother in law was quite intriguing story  after it was all was cleared up.  To understand more with that you will have to pick up:  "Friday Night Love."

"Friday Night Love" was really a very good  Christian story that will even help anyone who is going through this type of situation.  I found it the novel  a powerful read that will leave you laughing at some it, along with even shedding some tears...yes it was indeed one of those novels that will even stay with you long after you have finished the read.  Would I recommend? Yes, it is definitely one of those good reads.

Review:

"It's A New Season" by Desiree Future was a good sequel to 'The Pastor's Heart.'  I will say it will be a good idea to read it before reading this series because it all ties into this second novel so very well.  The story will start with the  "Newly married Pastor Kingston Carter and his new bride Lady Sinclair Madison Carter have settled into their new lives together" where we find Lady Sinclair is suffering somewhat from her operation on her leg, however, she is trying to get back into  her agency, 'Aged Out Forster Care Inc.' and her  hubby is trying to convince her to slow down and take care of herself.  Pastor Kingston Carter is all about business with his church Christ the Lord Fellowship  and helping to grow his family owned grocery store Carter's Market. Well, it seems like everything is going right now that the storm is over that has been in the area and these two people are so in love. What will come to mess this up?  A letter from someone who was thought be dead?  How will this "wreak havoc into the lives of the pastor and his first lady." I don't want to spoil it so I will just say you must pick up this wonderful well written read to see how this author will bring it all out to the reader.  I will only say from the quote that it will definitely be "the battle of David & Goliath standing at their front door, it's hard to see who will remain standing if and when that door finally closes."  Be ready for some suspense in this read!

"It's A New Season"  was a very good clean enjoyable Christian read and this author has given us a wonderful presentation of a true pastor and wife team.  Truly these Carter's are well portrayed along with some other outstanding characters that were presented so very well only to give up an awesome read that I would recommend to all.

"Hitting the Right Note" by Rhonda Bowen was one very "powerful and wonderful Christian novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat with all of its drama. Truly this Isaacs family members seemed to be something to reckon with in this well written story. I believe the two main characters JJ (Judith) Isaacs the R&B star and Simon Massri the renowned doctor were quite a pair that only God would be their for them and finally get them on the right path.It wasso very interesting how this author was able to portray this young women JJ who was a very good person so well grounded in her knowledge and belief of God and was quite the pillar for her siblings only to find that something was wrong with what was going on in personal life. As JJ gets caught up with this new 'star' life she wanted she will distance her life from her faith and even her family's approval. It was only after JJ comes in contact once again after a number of years with a Dr.Simon Massri will she be able to see her life more clearly that she isn't going in the right direction as she knew she should be travelling? Will JJ be able to break free and finally make the right choice for her life and in the end get that special someone to love?

There will be a lots going on in "Hitting the Right Note" you will have to keep up to see from this read: like from problems with a sister in law pregnancy, a producer, secret lover, the Isaac sisters, new band members and their problems, faith in God promises, new love, contracts signing on to trusting in God and knowing he will bring it all out was quite some interesting read. This is where I say to fully understand it all you must pick up "Hitting the Right Note" to see just how this author presents it so well to the reader.

The characters were simply off the chart good ...well developed, real, believable, well portrayed, colorful along with being so captivating presenting to the reader such a fascinating amazing emotional read.

When you get to the ending of "Hitting the Right Note" you are only left saying Wow that was some powerful read and Yes.....'will be hitting all the right notes!' I thought that "Hitting the Right Note" was a excellent good Christian read and that I would definitely recommend.
