"Beneath Outback Skies" by Alissa Callen a good Australian rural contemporary romance.  Paige Quinn being determined to keep her homestead, Banora Down, from being sold or abandoned.  Paige is trying to save the family farm from 'going under due to drought.  Her father has been injured in a tractor accident and trying to help and lighten his daughter load, he secretly employs  a 'city boy' Tait to come and get a farm plan of his property. Tait is really a city person with his mobile phone, the Jaguar and fancy suits.  This will not be liked by Paige and brings on a instant dislike between the to.  What secrets is Tait hiding that gives  him so much 'pain and guilt?'  I really enjoyed how this author was able to draw in the rich history of 'Banora Downs for the readers.  Will Paige be able to keep the promise she had made to her mother?  I must say the romance from Paige and Tait were for the most part a slow build with conflict and tension but in the end....you will be a good read and this is where I say you must pick up "Beneath Outback Skies" to see where this author will take the reader.  All of the characters were well developed, interesting and shows how some will struggle to survive in a beautiful country.  Would I recommend?  YES!
