"Burning of the Cross" by Niki Jilvontae
My Rationalization:
I will say that the title really got my attention. I found "Burning of the Cross" one good read that will take the reader through a little bit of it all 'from raw emotions, to love, hate, anger, despair to hope.' This was definitely one of those reads that will take one through quite a few twists and turns to the very end. I felt sorry for all of the abuse than Ayden and his mom had been subjected to for years by this hateful evil person. The novel really covers how evil a racist clan can be. What an ending! You will only have to pick up this well-written novel and read it for yourself to see how these characters make it out of this horrible situation. To the author... job well done!
