My Speculation:

I enjoyed this novella of "Christmas Sister, which described each of the different author's characters. By Author Violet Howe, Maddie Kirby gave us just how sweet Maddie was to each of the girls that she was taking care of. Next, we have the first girl Jo O'Malley by Author Tammy L. Grace, who was the oldest of this group and had been through quite a bit until she landed with Maddie. Next, we have Stevie Fox by Author Ev Bishop, whom we see has been passed around now being placed at Maddie's. Then we have Alissa Mann by Author Tess Thompson, who had just lost her parents from a car accident now, she was being placed with Maddie, and last we have Hailey Kirby by Author Judith Keim, where she had also been placed with Maddie. So, we see Maddie to had suffered the loss of her own husband and child, and she opened up her home to these four girls giving them not only a place to stay but love that was needed by all. By the end of this short read, we learn that in the epilogue: Fifteen Years Later...there was to be a wedding...Alissa was getting married, but it seems like it has been called off. Now, what is that about? We will have to pick up Book 2 'Christmas Kisses' to see what that is all about to find out. I will say this sounds like a good start to some very intriguing characters where we see all of the girls were in foster care, and Maddie Kirby was there for them not only in their time of need but also for her. This is a beautiful story of how well these four authors come together and give the readers the uniqueness of a story that brings out its realness. "Come and join Maddie, Hailey, Stevie, and Jo for a holiday reunion they'll never forget."
