My Speculation:

Now that Malcolm Hobbs has been suspended from his 'Sergeant of the APD's elite X-Men Homicide Squad,' what will happen when he gets a visit from a visitor that will lodge him into an investigation. This investigation will be one of a 'deadly team of rogue military operatives' who seize the city of Atlanta and have taken two people. Now, who were these two people, and just why were that taken? Who was this enemy with this skilled team that was raining terror on Atlanta?

Be prepared for action, twists and turns, and engaging read that will keep you turning to pages to see what is happening next as we see how Hobbs 'race against time to save and rescue the hostages' in this 'Threat Nexus' read. I don't want to give away any of the story other than to say this is one you will have to pick up and read for yourself to truly understand how well this author presents a well-written story to the readers, and I would recommend this novel for a good read.

My Speculation: 

Upon asking his mother's question:  'How will I know when I've fallen in love?'  When Bowie spotted Hazel Greathouse [his hazelnut] at a sports game], Bowie knew he was in love!  After spending some heavenly time [a week] with each other, they knew that they loved one another.  Will this work out for them to make plans to move in together at school [UCLA] in California? One thing for sure their lovemaking was off the chain, hot and steamy for sure.  Definitely, Bowie's kisses were 'like a full course meal.'

One thing that was for sure Hazel and Bowie were making plans to start a life together, professing their love for one another, and buying the ring at the pawnshop was one good start for them. They may not have been engaged, but one could tell that it wasn't too far off for these two. I loved how they could share their feelings, for example, Bowie's anxiety.  And I loved how they made plans...' married in three, pregnant in four.'  I liked how he was able to find at the pawnshop the Precious Moment statues that actually had belong to this mother at one time, having Bowie's thumbprint on it. 

I also loved the fact that they were in love and were willing to try to make this work for them.  However, I was left wondering what their parents will take all that has been going on with these two when they find out what has been going on with their kids.

And in the end, I believe Bowie knew they were in love.

My Speculation:  

I loved this short story of "All I Want For Christmas Is An Alpha," and that is just what happens for these two people, Cooper and Macy.  Who says you can't go from best friends to lovers as it was for these two.  The author did a wonderful job in bringing it all out to the reader how it all happens.  Yes, this was quite a magical event during a friend's wedding as Coop starts out just being a fake boyfriend. Yes, I will say that Cooper and Mace belonged together, and it was a delight seeing how they finally got their HEA.

An enjoyable, entertaining hot chemistry read "Addicted to Santino" was with one Alpha male, Santino, an Italian hottie that fell for the strong, black woman Gina.  If you are looking for love, hot sex, banter, and romance, you have come to the right place.  I loved how Santino was determined to win back Gina and to see how love conquers all when it's all said and done.

My Speculation:

This is quite a read that you will have to keep up because these characters are so real in this story. Whether it's Sakina, Yanna, Double D, Mama Kamira, Scar, Bianca, Mayhem, Mercy, Tae, Pooder, or Jeremiah [I am sure I left someone out], the reader will get one heck of a story with all of the craziness and killings that will go on in this story as they are getting their family back together again with only one of their siblings dying. What an interesting story in seeing how they will be able to see how they were "Cut from the Same Cloth."

My Speculation:

I enjoyed the story that featured Cynthia and her husband, David Hollings. We find Cynthia was working on her law degree, and her husband was in Medical school. They both were working hard to put their lives in a much better place. They seemed to be doing OK until David meet up with a friend... Matthew & Hannah. It was hard to believe that someone the Hollings hadn't been around thinking he [Matthew] could just come into their lives [the Hollings] and invoke something into David's life.

I am not sure I cared that much for David in how he handled this situation. I thought he could have been a lot firmer with his friend David, who he hadn't seen for years. But I am sure David wasn't surprised by what Matthew was involved in. If it hadn't been for David's wife Cynthia...well, I will stop there and say you will have to read this book to see if you get my meaning! I wanted to understand why Cynthia, after meeting with her boss Sam and the detective, why did she have to be the one to get what was needed to defend her husband, David? I know she was in school maybe one day being a public defender. But still, I felt she really put her life out there, but thank the heavens for having a friend [Rose] who was there for her after learning what all had transpired with David and Matthew. I was lead to wonder why Cythina still had someone who was out to get her? Was this because the detective wasn't really there for David's wife, making it seem like she was on the case by herself where she was doing all of the hard work [the surveillance and camera taking pictures]? Why didn't she get more help from this detective? I will say that part for me had me shaking my head, and I didn't like that part at all! What was up with that!!!

Oh, well, it seems like it all comes to an end, and two years later, it looks like all is well for David and Cynthia, who were moving on with their lives as medical and law school were over and with trials for Matthew and Hannah being over too. We find the Hollings were now moving to Phoenix, Arizona, from Atlanta to start their new lives in their new home and Cynthia's friend Rose not being too far away in California.

All in all, it comes together..."Let Freedom Ring," especially for the Hollings.

My Speculation:

What will happen in the story "Flirtatiously A Christmas starring ... four friends, Justice, Tracy, Renee, and Anika, who leave Chicago and go to Hawaii for a Christmas vacation? Well, all I can say is that this was one beautiful short story as these four friends meet some nice men in Hawaii ...Jabari, Jaxon, Gavin, and Faizon, who gave these ladies a heck of a good vacation. Now, what will happen after their return home to Chicago...well, I guess we will have to wait and see if there will be any more meetings after their vacation trip to Hawaii.

My Speculation:

Christmas Chance is a Holiday Romance that featured Chance and True.  We find now that Chance was pregnant, and the main question was 'will True realize he now had the chance to finally get his marriage on the right road?'  I will say this was a sweet, beautiful read of what can happen when one decides to ante up and become a grown man who was about to become a father and as well as a husband.  It was a beautiful read of Chance and True getting their special delivery during this Christmas time and them finally getting their HEA.

Will Dante Miller and Ciara Britton get back together this second time after what had gone on earlier for these two?  In a surprising move, why would Dante hire Ciara again?  We find  Ciara was the new head of the division for this Miller Company; how will this fit in since it seems like they still had feelings for one another?  How will this second time around go for these two?  Well, to get all of these questions answered and more, you will just have to pick up "His Holiday Wish" and see if Dante got his wish.   All in all, I did find "His Holiday Wish", a good romantic read.

My Speculation:  

"Mr. Grinch's Secret" was quite an interesting read about Rhys Reid, who was going after the job she wanted, and Mase Grichinsky, who was one that got what he wanted most of the time.  But this time will be a little different for him due to the rules that Mase now had to follow if he was to keep his position as CEO of Clymax Toys.  Will Mase be able to adhere to the rules when it comes to his new assistant when it comes to Rhys?  What will happen when Mases's [Mr. Grinchy] secret comes out to Rhys?  With them both having their share of problems, will there be room for love by the end of this story?  Well, to get all of these answers and more, you will have to pick up this good romance to see how well this author will bring it out to the readers.

"Fanatic" by Jade Jones

My Speculation:

If you are looking for a good thriller, then you have come to one: 'Fanatic.' I found the two main characters Raina and Sterling Robinson [aka Roo], well played in this story. With Raina having her unattractiveness and Roo being so good looking well, it looks like they were well suited to be together because he knew that she wasn't a fake. I found the story somewhat sad in what Roo thought he needed to do what he had been doing, and as you read through the story, you find out well, let's say you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader and l loved that surprising ending. I found this story rather interesting in how Roo thought it was OK to do what he did, and Ranina was going along with it, even in what happened to her uncle. But I guess when you love, one you can put the bad parts of it aside. But will it not come back to bit you in the end. Ok, yes, that will be karma! You will definitely be found turning the pages to what will happen next, and I was so glad that we got the story in one sitting.

My Speculation:  

This was a fun read, seeing how London [Midnight] finally getting someone that was especially just for her in this 'blackened soul series' and learning to trust.  It was interesting learning of London's spiritual sister and finding out from Mama Bah about what had gone on in London life with her mother and all.  Did I enjoy the read and would recommend? YES!

"Confessions in B-Flat" by Donna Hill

My Speculation:

Wow, now this is one read that will keep your attention till the end that was not only a good read but very timely due to what is going on in our world 2020 even though this event happened during the 1960s. And believe it or not, this civil unrest is still happening in some fashion now in our world of 2020.

It was quite an interesting read for Jason Tanner and Anita Hopkins, who meet on a bus going to New York City. We find Jason was being 'sent by Dr. King to help get the message of passive resistance to the people up north, which showed clashing with how Anita's had her support going for the support of Malcolm X's ideology.' As the story continues, it was good seeing if these two will clash due to their separate political differences that deal with civil rights, but what will happen when there is a beautiful love story connection between these two? What was it about Anita's special way she could put out the poetry at the B Flat that will keep you wanting more? The other characters in this story were well-developed and well-defined, giving the story that special punch in this emotional, educational, and gratifying read. This read reminds me of how far we've come since the Civil Rights area and how relatable now we are in the Black Lives Matter movement 2020.

Would I recommend this read? YES, that would be my answer.

My Speculation:

What a delightful and enjoyable read "The Boy Toy" was that featured Samira and Rory. It was interesting how this author presented these two together with Rory being 10 years younger than Samira. Rory was Australian, with Samira being a biracial Indian-Australian. Now just saying that lets you know this will be some romance story [a cougar love story]. Be ready for a little bit of it all from 'steamy sex, drama, strong female, Aussie stuntman, angst, humor, Indian culture, foods, death, infertility, emotional, divorce to romance.' The heroine really stood out where we find her strong, and knowing what she wanted for her now, and she was back in her hometown of Melbourne, where she was divorced and back home after spending five years of living in L.A. In contrast, we find Rory had been raised by a strict father where they didn't connect well that put a strain on his life, especially since he had grown up without a Mom and had a problem with stuttering. We find that Samira and Rory both processed in that they both shared in their loss and struggled to find their happiness. What a read that turns out to be quite intriguing as we find these two meet up randomly in a bar where sparks will fly. If you are a fan of romance, I would definitely recommend "The Boy Toy" to you as a good read.

My Speculation:

"Santerian's Christmas Wish" was an interesting holiday read that involved Santerian and Tangela. I don't think meeting Tangela, Santerian, would have to make a decision that would bring him much anguish as he holds on to one of his thoughts for years. All of this comes from what Santerian has received from his father due to his parent's failed marriage. I don't understand why he didn't listen to his mother about this situation, but that is how life can go for many of us. With Tangela having trust issues too from her past can bring out all of the insecurities they both had. They were definitely not ready for marriage until these issues were brought out, as the story will go. They both got on my nerves at times, but by the end, will it all come out well for this couple? This is where I say you will have to pick up "Santerians Christmas Wish" to see if they finally get their wish.
