What I liked about this novel....

I really enjoy reading to first series of 'The Brides of Blueberry Cove.'  The two main characters were very interesting to read about being of career decisions and family issues.  Hannah McCrae was home
in Blueberry Cove, Maine for her brother's wedding, after her job and personal life in DC had gone up in smoke.  It was on her way home Hannah gets involved in a car accident after running a four way stop sign...their she meets Calder Blue who stopped to help her and this lovely story begins.  Calder was in town to see about a job on the town's waterfront and also trying to resolve a decade of feuding between two separate factions of his family...'The Blue's.'  I loved how this author was able to get Hannah and Calder together that will involve them in land issues involving semi dangerous residents and much more as they are drawn together  in this very interesting story.  And in saying that I will say I enjoyed how this relationship developed between  Hannah and Calder. The chemistry was off the chart..hot and steamy!   Let's not leave out those secondary characters especially Hannah's sisters  that will put a smile on your face being well developed, portrayed, and believable helping to give the reader a story that will keep your interest in this two plot story that even has some mystery in it.  Be ready for a good read about a old family feud with some crazy and some humours town people and you have it all..."Sea Glass Sunrise."

What I liked about this novel..

I loved this historical romance story of Alec[Alasdair Gilbride] and Edie[Eden Whitney].  I will say I laughed so hard at some of the bantering that went on in this novel with Alec and Edie but also especially that of Edie's mom.  I was able to catch some of Edie's feeling for Alec quite early in the read, but was quite surprise at a lots of the twist, turns and drama in this read that was so very interestingly presented by this author. The characters were all off the chart well done...being well developed, defined, portrayed, engaging and so very believable. I also liked the way this author was able to give the reader one hot steamy highlander romance story as the heroine and hero are brought together in their lively interaction throughout the read.  Who knew that a horrible kiss and being snubbed by the ton would cause such a uproar that would force Edie to have to leave London for the Highlands. And that there would be plans by Edie's mom to start some  match making for Edie.  I found this read  not only fascinating and entertaining with a good depth, a great plot but also a well paced read that will definitely keep your attention all the way till the end.

Saving Grapes By J. T. Lundy

Book Description.....

"Thirty-two-year-old Jason Barnes recently lost his job, and his heart. Now, thanks to a meddling ex-wife and a golf cart fiasco, he has just thirty days to pay a $60,000 fine or go to jail.

Jason was hoping his Aunt Clara would come to his rescue, but she unexpectedly dies, gifting her liquid assets to charity. She does, however, will Jason a picturesque French vineyard—and it’s worth millions. But there’s a catch! If Jason goes to jail, the vineyard will transfer to his unscrupulous stepbrother.

To raise the cash he needs, Jason travels to France with his knucklehead of a best friend to sell the vineyard. Cashing in will not be so simple, though. To persuade the good sisters, Jason attempts a madcap series of dubious schemes, and while doing so falls for what he thinks is the perfect French woman. Amidst this melee of wine, women, nuns, and villains, Jason must unearth his true values in order to save more than just his soul.

Infused with J.T. Lundy's deliciously skewed sense of humor, and full of flawed but irresistible characters, Saving Grapes is a rollicking, good-hearted Wodehousian comedy that speaks to the hapless romantic in all of us."

What I liked about this novel...

Wow, all I can say it that "Saving Grapes" made me laugh and laugh ...from this vineyard setting [sights, sounds and aromas] along with the nuns and those crazy villains these two main characters[Jason and Stumpy] were simply off the chart so interesting and funny!  Oh yes, in a slapstick way did I love this way this author was able to give the reader simply a fun adventurous read with these two attempting to fulfilling the conditions of a will to inherit the vineyard left to Jason[a perennial screw-up] by his Aunt Clara.  There will be some twist and turns in this fast story that will keep your attention and guessing all the way to the end. Who knew as Jason sets out for financial gain will he end up getting so much more?   So, if you are in for a good laugh I would recommend this comic romantic novel as one enjoyable read.

I liked this short romantic novella.  It turns out to be just what the title said..."Make You Mine Again." For that was just what happened for Jansen and Bradley.  I loved how this author gave the reader a interesting story with some many secrets with twist and turns, however when it all came out and each one of these main characters were able to listen to each other....well you will have to pick this one up and see for yourself how well it comes out.  Yes, the story was somewhat predictable, however, you will be given an  interesting well written story that will keep you turning the pages till the end.

What I liked about this novella....

Now, this short story was really some read.  You talk about mean spirited classmates that seemed to have it out for on Ona.  I love how this story was presented..with a "reunion trip turning out to be an erotic-theme cruise" for these classmates.   Now how did this happen?  However, I loved how Ona was able to some much needed help from that 'blond-haired, silver-eyed Riker Evan. My feelings went out for this heroine because she really went through a lot to achieve making this cruise a good one but will that happen with all the bitterness that seems to be around her from some former classmates.  When Ona thinks that she will have one friend with her on this trip...well, I will stop here and say you will have to pick up this well written read and see how this will all come out. What will happen when all of the secrets and lies comes out in this 'Unraveled' story?  Will Ona as well as Riker  finally get someone to love and be accepted for who they are?

Book Description...

"In the small waterfront town of Magnolia Beach, Alabama, people may forgive, but they never forget—especially when it comes to scandalous reputations, juicy gossip, and a sexy new flame.

Former wild child Helena Wheeler was happy to leave behind her hometown—and her sordid past—for Atlanta twelve years ago. But when her grandmother suffers an injury, Helena has no choice but to return, even if it means facing down all the people who have shunned her.

Ryan Tanner went from being a football legend in high school to Magnolia Beach’s young, hot bachelor mayor. As a teenager, he never wanted anything to do with a girl like Helena. But when she hires Ryan to do some construction in her grandmother’s house, he finds that she’s grown up into a different person—one he quite likes.

For Helena, confronting her past has its share of surprises—and falling for the resident golden boy was definitely not on her to-do list. But will her reformed ways be enough to get her back in the town’s good graces, or will her reputation keep Helena and Ryan apart for good?"

"Something to Prove" by Kimberly Lang

What I liked from this novel...

After Helena Wheeler's grandmother suffers an injury she knows that she will have to return to Magnolia, Alabama after twelve years where it seemed like 'people don't forget, they love gossip and lets not forget a new flame'.  Helena soon finds out that these people haven't forgotten what had happened to her.  Now, what all  was that about?   Why are the town people holding Helena's past against her?  Had she really been that 'former wild child' in the past with a very scandalous reputation? The question that comes before us now that she is back is ... has Helena now changed?

Then their is Ryan Tanner who was now the towns mayor of Magnolia, Alabama and who wanted nothing to do with Helena due to her past reputation. Now, why was that...him stayed far away from her as teenagers as it seamed like there was always some kind of trouble that would involve her ?   However, now that he has to work with Helena in order to help her grandmother, Ryan finds out that she wasn't  at all  what everyone had said she was.  Was she someone he was falling for?  Will Helena start to have feelings for Ryan in this town where she had said she would never want to live in?  Will Helena be able to live in a town that is against her...will she be able to prove she is not what they think she is? Will she even be able to prove it to herself? Now, that is the real question!   Now to answer all of these questions and more the reader will have to pick up this novel and see how well the author presents all of this to the readers where she really brings this town of Magnolia Beach to life with some very interesting characters.

By the end of this novel I found the message that this author had for the reader.  You will only have to read this novel to get it.    "Something To Prove" was a sweet flowing story that will keep your attention and turning the pages till the end.

"From Fake To Forever"

What I liked from this novel...

Wow, this was quite a read of two people [Meredith & Jason] who came together after meeting in Vegas decided to have a 'pretend' wedding after much tequila and sex, knowing this was a big mistake only to go their separate ways thinking that the marriage had not been filed? Therefore it wouldn't need to be annulled,  however it wasn't until Meredith some years later needing a loan from her Father and needing to make sure that her slate was clean before she did this that she finds out that she and Jason are still married [after TWO years!]  To further add to this Jason is currently engaged to his finance. You talking about what a surprise for these two.   This author really knows how to give the reader a interesting and captivating read because this really turns out to be one big mess before it all comes together!  The story had some strange areas to me that left me wondering...after a few years they were married and didn't know it?  And I found this story still a awe one...for what Jason will do next...giving Meredith a job? Why did he do this?  What did he want from Meredith?   I must say that this aspect of the fashion designer aspect of the story that Meredith worked seemed that she did a good job at it.     Will these two find some undiscovered attraction that will bring them together again?  The characters for the most part well developed and charming which gave the reader quite a storybook romantic read.  Well this is where I will not spoil it for you and just say you will have to pick up "From Fake to Forever: to see how this all comes together giving the reader quite an interesting read  that when all is said and done I did find "From Fake to Forever" an enjoyable,  fun, humorous and sexy romantic read.

What I liked about this novel... was even though this was a  fourth in the series... Christmas, Colorado, it was a  wonderful standalone read that you were able to understand all that was going on in this town called Christmas, Colorado.  The storyline has two main characters Vivi and Chance
however, the reader will soon discover that there are several stories in this novel that will keep you turning the pages to discover that you will encounter some romance, suspense, crime and even maybe a murder, second chance at love all happening in this fast paced read  at this town called Christmas.  I did find that once I got into the read I found it hard to put down with all of the interesting characters.  What will happen now that Vivi is now back in Christmas for a wedding and since loosing her dream newspaper job, now planning to stay and run the local newspaper and now  that Chance is back in Christmas for his father's wedding and is in  the picture...what all will happen with these two?

I loved how the author presents the story dealing with what had happened with Chance and his on and off relationship with Vivi. Wow, what a well written story that this author gives the readers. I found this story was somewhat predictable however there will be some twist and turns that will really will  have the reader do on the edge of your seat wondering what is coming next.  I found "Hot Summer Nights" a contemporary romance about [Gabrielle]Gabby and Geoffrey.  I loved how this author brings these two people together..with Geoffrey thinking Gabby was a waitress instead of an executive chef of this resort. Now why was that?  With Gabby trying to do it all  but will she be ready for what Geoffrey wants to offer her?  What was it about Gabby that Geoffrey was so intrigued with?  Will she be able to handle these feelings that she has for Geoffrey or will she keep herself in the shell that she seems to have been in for quite a while? I found the characters in this read were for the most part well developed, defined and believable giving the reader a interesting read.  Truly friends like Gabby has with Robyn, and Kimberly really added to this wonderful story and I will not forget the some of the staff employees.  I will say I didn't care for Gabby's family at all and that is all I have to say about that!

By the time I got to the ending  of this read I was however left wondering is there more to come of this story especially after the strange phone call that was received?  Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see!

I was gifted this read for my honest opinion.

"Fear 2:  Falling in Love with An Alpha Billionaire [BWWM]" by Amaire Avant

What  I loved from this read...
There is only one thing I can say and that is this author did it again and that is giving a reader a second read that will keep you entertained till the end.

What I liked from the read.... Drama, drama and more drama from these two main characters and let's not forget some of those amazing secondary characters that will keep you on the edge of your seat turning the pages!  You, the readers are really getting a story of  a  erotic romance, suspense, mystery, thriller, action,  family secrets, twist and turns but in the end wow what a alpha male.  This author really worked her magic with this storyline  with all of the details she presented...you will have to keep up!

What I hated from this read....
The Cliffhanger!  We, the reader will just have to wait for part 3 to see how this story will unfold!

Circling The Sun By: Paula McLain

Book Description....

"Paula McLain, author of the phenomenal New York Times bestseller The Paris Wife, takes readers into the glamorous and decadent circle of British expats living in Kenya in the 1920s. Circling the Sun tells the story of the beautiful young horse trainer, adventurer, and aviator Beryl Markham, from her childhood in British East Africa to her relationship with hunter Denys Finch Hatton and rivalry with Out of Africa author Karen Blixen—a notorious love triangle that changed the course of Beryl's life."

"Circling The Sun" by Paula McLain

What I liked about this novel:

"Circling The Sun" was definitely one of those reads where you will put quickly pulled into the story line.  We are told a well beautifully written story of a simply amazing women by the name of Beryl Markham who was very strong willed, lived and raised in Kenya after moving from London, who became the first female horse licensed trainer in Africa in the early 20th century.  Later in her life we find Ms. Markham taking up aviation and was the first person to fly a solo run from England to New York.  I really liked how this author was able to bring in a lot of historical facts in which the book is based on.  The descriptions of Africa in the 20's, with the wilderness and even the beauty to the harsh living conditions, along with the wild descriptions of the animals, the natives and the colonist were really brought to life in Kenya at that present time in history was vividly delivered very well  to the reader.  By the end of this read one will note that Ms. Markham was definitely 'ahead of her time.'

The Truth According To US By: Annie Barrows

Book Description....

"From the co-author of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society comes a wise, witty, and exuberant novel, perfect for fans of Lee Smith, that illuminates the power of loyalty and forgiveness, memory and truth, and the courage it takes to do what's right.

Annie Barrows once again evokes the charm and eccentricity of a small town filled with extraordinary characters. Her new novel, The Truth According to Us, brings to life an inquisitive young girl, her beloved aunt, and the alluring visitor who changes the course of their destiny forever.

In the summer of 1938, Layla Beck's father, a United States senator, cuts off her allowance and demands that she find employment on the Federal Writers' Project, a New Deal jobs program. Within days, Layla finds herself far from her accustomed social whirl, assigned to cover the history of the remote mill town of Macedonia, West Virginia, and destined, in her opinion, to go completely mad with boredom. But once she secures a room in the home of the unconventional Romeyn family, she is drawn into their complex world and soon discovers that the truth of the town is entangled in the thorny past of the Romeyn dynasty.

At the Romeyn house, twelve-year-old Willa is desperate to learn everything in her quest to acquire her favorite virtues of ferocity and devotion—a search that leads her into a thicket of mysteries, including the questionable business that occupies her charismatic father and the reason her adored aunt Jottie remains unmarried. Layla's arrival strikes a match to the family veneer, bringing to light buried secrets that will tell a new tale about the Romeyns. As Willa peels back the layers of her family's past, and Layla delves deeper into town legend, everyone involved is transformed—and their personal histories completely rewritten."

"The Truth According To Us" by Annie Barrows

What I liked about the novel....
This was a very well written story of just how secrets were kept in this Depression era West Virginia town that were brought out by a young woman assigned by the Roosevelt Writer Project to research this towns Macedonia history for its 150th birthday.  The stories that were brought out were simply amazing especially for one family ...The Romeyn's.  I found the characters were well developed, defined, well portrayed and believable giving the reader a fascinating read up to the point of making the reader feel  that they are engaging into some of the conversations.

"The Truth According to Us" was quite a read of what loyalty was to a family, along with family love, and characters with secrets.  Then by the end of the read  we will see redemption, forgiveness and most of all hope  that will come into play....All  giving the reader a good read.
