"The Family that Lies" by Lakisha Johnson & LaQuisha Rucker

My Thoughts....

What a story of how lies, lies and more lies did affect this family and those around them. This was definitely a page turner that had a little bit of it all from 'lies, secrets, now who was the babies daddy, murderous first lady' to twist and turns and then you will have one heck of a story. What was so sad about all of this was that the one person in this play was not only the father but the pastor. All I will say is that there will be one survivor that will come out of this emotional mess. Wow, what a read that will leave you shaking you head and saying what a read!

My Thoughts.....

What a beautiful story "So Much Moore" was that featured another Moore sister...Felicity and Garret Thompson who was let's just say a rich guy. With Felicity being a 'actuary and entrepreneur' and Garrett having his work that 'dabble in philanthropic endeavors' one can see that these two were made for each other.

When they first meet wow what an attraction that they both felt. Who will make the first move in this romantic story? What was it that had happened with Felicity that had her on her guard when it came to relationships? I loved how one of Felicity's sisters [Kennedy] came to the rescue in helping her sister understand Garrett and even herself. I loved how the meeting of the parents that played such a beautiful part in the read...well ad least for one set of parents that is. Even though this was a little predicable it was still such a beautiful read and it was nice seeing how that one parent did finally come around to accepting Felicity.

The reader will get a real sweet read and omg with those love scenes being so well written...yes, hot and steamy! There is nothing left to say about this good read other than you will have to pick up this fourth series of 'The All That & More' and you will get one beautiful story of Felicity and Garrett getting their HEA.

Our Teenage Years Growing up in a small town in the 80's by T. J. Wray

Profile:

"T. J. Wray grew up in a small town. He grew up quick and got his first job at only thirteen years old. He knew people depended on him to do his job every day. So for two years he never missed a day. No matter the weather conditions, he always got the job done. He learned responsibility for his actions at a very early age. He was very active in his church and with his youth group. He learned a lot from the positive role models in his church like his youth pastor and his Sunday school teacher. He didn’t party or drink in junior high or high school. He was responsible and went to work after school. He got his driver’s license at age fourteen and drove himself everywhere, while the other kids still rode the bus. Even though he was a teenager, he was an adult! He really enjoyed life in a small town. Everybody knew him and knew his truck. They would wave at him as he drove down the street. They would say hello as they passed on the sidewalk or in stores. He said that in a small town, people “actually” shook hands. In his teenage years, he was an avid fisherman. He used to travel around the state of Oklahoma looking for the best fishing holes. He once said that he would rather “fish, than breath.” There’s nothing that compares to hooking into a largemouth bass. He was quoted as saying, “If they don’t ride motorcycles and go fishing in heaven, I don’t want to go!”
Nowadays, he lives in the big city. He says that nobody knows anybody, and they don’t want to. He says that everyone is always in a big hurry and would rather run over you than wait for one minute for you to move. No one ever seems to slow down and enjoy life, in the big city. He really misses Life in a Small Town."

"Our Teenage Years Growing up in a small town in the 80's" by T. J. Wray

My Thoughts....

When this author as me to read his novel and I said yes I didn't really know what I would get, however, after reading "Our Teenage Years Growing up in a Small Town in the 80's' I found
this one was quite a delightful read. Wow, I found TJ's life was very interesting and exciting along with what all had gone on in his life and with especially his best friend Terry. As I continued to read I quickly saw what TJ's life was all about and from the read I got all of these questions answered from.....

"All the wild adventures and stories of two best friends trying to survive their teenage years. Dealing with parents and siblings, or just trying to survive high school. Remember your first girl friend? Remember your first kiss? Remember your first job? Remember your first prom? Remember your first car? Well this book is about all that, and a whole lot more. But really it's just about LIFE...
It will make you laugh, and it will make you cry."

From this read you will definitely get a little bit of it all from each of the chapters starting with his favorite TJ's teachers, his friend Terry, Patricia, fake ID's, The Alligator Story, Being a role model, Margaret and His Truck, Terry's Parents, His Motorcycle Wreck, Just Your Life [Dusty], Being Eighteen, Graduation, Growing up in a Small Town...[in Guthrie, Oklahoma], The End of the Brown Beast now this was funny!], Terry's Haw-Hauling Carrier, His House Burns Down!...Rock Concert!...The Werewolf Story[ another good story]...Baker's Lake...Best Fishing Hole Ever!...A Different World, Just the Way I's Built...Kenny...Me, Christy, and Baby Melissa...Our Trip to Atlanta and the Georgia Dome...Georgia on My Mind, It's Just a Piece of metal...Ouch!...Hodgepodge Stupid is as Stupid Does.... Kidney Stones...Like Father Like Son....Family Reunion...Don't Shoplift!...Jazzercise... Wrong High School...Just F.Y.L...Bill...Terry and His Dad...The End! Now to fully understand all of this you will have to pick up the wonderful read and see what it is all about. This is a very easy read to follow and keep up with giving you page after page of just what was going on at that time. I will say some of these stories were humorous and how well this author ties it all together in the end and that ending being about his 'LIFE.'

From all above the reader will get a autobiography of TJ's life growing up with his best friend Terry from Guthrie, Oklahoma. I loved how this author was able to deliver a story that laid out so well his life's story giving the reader all of it from the good times, bad times, teenage years, wild adventures, lessons, and family that will definitely benefit his children and even the adults. This was very well done by this author.

Even though his best friend Terry is gone TJ made a promise to write this story and he did a wonderful job in doing so about there many fun and wild adventures times. I also like the dedication TJ made to his father, his three children and two grandchildren of the read. Well done!

Thank you to the author for the gift of the read and my providing my honest opinion of the read. I liked the photos at the end of your read as well as your message you left for the readers.

"Good Love" by Cheryl Robinson

My Thoughts...

After reading this author's 'Until Ray Trilogy' which featured Sarita and Boone I was delighted to get some more inside information of these two characters which brought out quite a few things that had gone on in that story. I would highly suggest that one reads that trilogy for more understanding of 'Good Love.'

This was a interesting read in trying to find out what in the world will Sarita Saint do after she had promised her friend Sharon, 'her deceased best friend, that she would marry her husband, Boone and raise their children together.' However, will Sarita be willing to do this as she had promised her friend? I will say that Sarita got on my nerves as she seemed to have had problems deciding what was best her. Why in the world she couldn't see what was right in front of her and that Boone was a good man and a longtime friend.

I could see that Boone really did love Sarita and he would do anything for her. However, will moving to his ranch in Texas and venturing as a restaurateurs be a good move for Sarita and Boone? For the life of me I can't understand why Sarita doesn't seem to get it. I did like how this author brings in Miss King. Yes, Miss King really added quite a bite to this story and I did find some of the information she delivered was quite puzzling as you will see from the read. In the end the question will still be will Sarita and Boone 'develop a deeper bond' not only as in a common law marriage but by getting married and taking his name? The one thing that Boone wanted was to marry her and take care of her because he had been deeply in love with since Sarita was eighteen years old. Will these two be able to get to that 'Good Love that both with cherish for it?' Well, to find out more of how this will end you will have to pick up "Good Love" to see how this story will come out. It will indeed be quite a interesting story hat will keep your attention all the way to the end.

First Story....."The Gate to Eden and Christmas in Paradise" by Cathy McDavid

My Thoughts.....

"The Gate to Eden" was quite a interesting read in that it proved in the end that everything can be made right.  For Maddie Campbell had a hard life and even more after her husband had died leaving her with a beautiful daughter.  However, for Maddie had even more on her shoulders...'three hundred other widows and orphans who had been left homeless and penniless after a horrific mining accident.'  This will be quite a intriguing story in how this situation seemed to be headed for Maddie along with her 'merry band  who had been getting cleanly away with their thefts until a certain former sheriff Scott McSween  comes to their mining town.'  Why was McSween there and who was that horrible person her worked for?  Well it seems like he had been hired to find how out who was responsible for these robberies.  Who would have thought that Maddie and her merry band would have been responsible for these robberies?  However, it seems like there was a reason for this madness, however, it also seems like Maddie had caught McSween's eyes and oh how he was very interested in getting to know this Maddie Campbell.  But it will be hard for McSween to get to know Maddie especially in 'The Gate to Eden.'  Now why was that?  Any way this story will go on where there will be a meeting, then on to hot steamy kisses and more that then by the time all of the secrets have come out it seems like Maddie may have gotten into more trouble than she was able to get out of without help. So, in the end we find that McSween will have to 'choose between the woman he loves and the law he's sworn to uphold.'  To find out how this  engaging story will all come out you will have to pick up "The Gate to Eden" to find out how well this author delivers brings it all out to the reader.  It was indeed a good read that will keep your attention to the very end.

Second Story...Christmas in Paradise

Why wasn't Millie Berinhard happy about living 'in the desert community of Paradise?  Millie's father had moved to this area after his wife died and Millie was lonely  for her mom and didn't really like living in a mining town definitely missing the snow in the winter.  Millie was at the age for marriage but it seemed like there was no interest in the miners even though her sister [Alice] 'had married and expecting.  Well, it seems like Millie's father thought that it was time for her to get interested in marriage and invited a certain William Dunlap [who wasn't a miner but a store manager] for dinner. During this time Millie was surprise how well this dinner had gone and William  also invited Millie to a Christmas party that was being hosted by The Copper King Mining Company and she excepted a dance with him.  Is Millie beginning to have feelings for William?

From that visit the story will take a turn with there being an explosion at mines that will cause quite a scare however, all seems to have come out OK from this situation.  What had Millie really missed from being back in her home town of Morgan County?

What will William Dunlap do for Millie for Christmas?  Well, it will be very special gift for her in that this was what she had truly missed mostly from the area where she used to live. Will Millie find happiness this "Christmas in Paradise?'  To find out what it was you will have to pick up this short well written  beautiful story of  "Christmas in Paradise" to see how this author gives the reader.

My Thoughts....

What a captivated read that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next in this urban fantasy/paranormal read!  This was indeed a good read of a bad boy demon finally getting his redemption.  Is this what happens when a jaded demon and a warrior angel come together? What was the secret that Anya kept from Dommiel? Why was finding Uriel so very important for Anya?   Be ready for a read with lots of action, very intensed 'story between good and evil, hatred, love, vengeance, salvation'  and with some very complexed and passionate characters. And let's not leave out the hot passions of attraction as these two Dommiel and Anya who journeyed  through the depths of darkness had for each other. Will Anya be able to put her 'trust in this high demon Dommiel to find Uriel and save her soul.' What I especially enjoyed about this story was how the author brought in that 'a soul can always be saved."

So, if you are into reading a good story in the Dominion series ... I would definitely recommend "Darkest Heart" and all you will get from the characters, the romance and the world lore...you will simply enjoy it all.

My Thoughts.....

If you are in to paranormal tales and fantasy's you have come to the right place because 'Gylded Wings will give one quite a entertaining romantic read.  This story was of Gyldan [an angel born into slavery and Brit [who was a human and there to take him to Earth]. I will say you will have to keep up with this story because there will be a lots of twist where the reader will find that on Gyldan's flights of discovery from Anachrys to Earth as he will suffers from  the uncertainly as well as the acceptance of the truth.  I like the description of how this author delivers a wonderful description of Gyldan running from the castle, with a horrible winter landscapes upon them as they are on there way to the portal to Earth which happens to be Miami.  Having been treated so horribly in Anachrys as a slave and now being treated with great reverence was somewhat mystifying for Gyldan and learning just who his rescuer was that brought him to Earth was quite interesting. As Gyldan is now in a new world and seems to have lost his memory and will have to learn and get help from his new friends. What will happen as "Gyldan is bent on experiencing his newfound powers unmindful of the harm to Brit or the others."

As the story continues on will this Angel truly be the slave Gyldan or will he become someone else?  From his flight back to Anachrys with Brit will Gyldan be able to save his sister and son?  By the end will this 'Fallen Angel' get the redemption that he wants and become a 'Guardian Angel?' How will all  of this work out for Gyldan and Brit?   Be ready a well written story with developed and portrayed characters from ... Gyldan, Lianas of Hamlin [Brit], Sarah, Seph [Gyldan sibling Sephiroth], Adamus, Miriam, James, Rikbiel,  Zophiel, [Paimon & Astanoth],  Jaluha, Yahriel, Sandy, Lucifer, Beelzebub to name a few that will give the reader one fantastic story from the 'Gylded Wings.'

My Thoughts....

I found this story quite a interesting one in it being a paranormal read with shapeshifters, myth, magic, demons and witches that will take the reader on a exciting ride in Jamaica.  For Heather Morique who didn't know all the mystery that surrounded her husband Jahill before his death.  Now that Heather son [Ariel} and husband [Jahill an Arawak Indian] had died she finds herself in Jamaica where she will meet up with her husband's folks and their ancient gods they worship...Eyrael...the God of Wind and Sea, along with his brother Sofiel, who was God of Fire and Earth.  How will these two gods become so important to Heather?   It was very interesting to see who these gods would be able to shift from each animal [Eyrael...horse] and Sofiel...a bull and how  this shaman brought in a plan to have each of these brother fighting against each other hoping to obtain one deity for these Arawaks to have to worship. But how does this bring in Heather who didn't even know she was a witch is summoned by Eyrael?  What will happen as Heather learns to use her magical skills as she helps Eyrael who has to confront Sofiel and the shaman?  This will be quite a battle for control and who will win out in the end?  Be ready for many adventures and vivid descriptions of Jamaica as this author gives the reader that will definitely be of interest in this fantasy read. Who will make it out of this battle?  What will happen as Heather and Eyrael who were very "unlikely soul mates face a dangerous fate and discover the chemistry between them."

BEAUTIFUL VENGEANCE Kindle Edition by Perri Forrest

Profile:

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rikki Johnston. I'm a thirty-year-old web designer, from Oakland, California. I have two cousins, Angelique and Angel; one is a bomb-ass hairstylist, while the other is a CSI technician for the Oakland Police Department. We're all well-rounded women making our way in life the best way that we can. We're a close-knit trio with a secret: We kill people. Not to be confused with serial killers. See, serial killers commit a series of murders, often with no apparent motive. That's where we differ. When we kill, there's always a motive.

The start of it all . . .

Fifteen years ago, our lives were touched by a devastating tragedy. My cousin, Audrey, who was Angelique and Angel's mother, was gunned down on the streets of Oakland. We were right there when it happened. We were right there to cradle her lifeless body. How do you get past losing someone you love in such a violent and senseless way? You don't.

But they say that time heals all wounds.

Unfortunately, this maxim is not a 'one-size fits all', and the three of us had to collectively find a way to get beyond the pain. So, we signed on to inflict a little bit of our own in the form of vigilante justice. We understand the need for closure. We understand wanting to see criminals punished--the right way.

However, tending to the needs of everyone else, has its share of problems. Angel, the youngest of us refuses to acknowledge the love of a good man that's right in front of her. Angelique, has a man knocking that she won't let past the friend zone. And me, I thought I'd found love only to be betrayed by that love.

But will love even matter if we aren't there to bask in the glow of it? While we're winning at street justice, we might be getting ready to lose at life. We have no idea what's right around the corner for us. The past is about to clash with our present in a way we never imagined. We thought we were dealt a blow when we lost Audrey, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. It's not long before each of our lives are turned upside down.

**Beautiful Vengeance was previously released. However, this new version has added chapters, and more mechanics to carry the story forward in a more concise way."**

What a 'Beautiful Vengeance' these three ladies...Angel, Angelique and Rikki brought on for those who were in the wrong! What brought this on? After seeing their mom killed these three presented karma through vengeance in getting back on those who had harmed the innocent. As you are reading this story you will be able to feel the pain of these main characters.

This story was really quite interesting as these three only really wanted justice that seemed to not be able to get through the police. It was quite a shock in the end who they had to take out due to who had killed their mom. Be ready for a few twist and turns as well as secrets that will come out in this raw and uncut read. Be ready for a little bit of it all from 'drama, suspense, relationships destroyed, betrayal and even love.' Will Angel, Angelique and Rikki finally get the peace in the end? Kemp and Satin are back in the U.S. and their marriage is about to be put to the test. It’s obvious that Lava has a piece of Kemp’s heart, and now Satin is working overtime just to keep them apart.
Still, Satin has a “job” to do. She has been assigned to yet another fool. Her duty was to make him, Dedrick, love her and steal his heart. And then steal his position, and tear his whole world apart. She just hadn’t expected Dedrick to be so perfect. So, she starts to question if what she’s doing to him is worth it.
Kemp’s heart and mind are at a tug-of-war. He might love Lava. But he loves Satin more. Still his choices start to cause problems that he didn’t expect. Things spiral out of control, and he isn’t prepared for what happens next.

Sometimes it’s too late. Someone is running out of time. No one will see it coming. And no one can stop this crime.
Love and lies. Truth comes out in the end.
You never know who’s watching.
Sometimes your worst enemy...is a "friend."

"Give Him Back 2: Kemp & Satin" by B. M. Hardin

My Thoughts....

Hey what can you say other than saying..."Give Him Back 2" was some read being simply one great excellent read, giving the reader some shocked moments, but what can only expect from this author!  I would highly suggest you read the first series to truly understand what all is going on in this continued story.  You will be presented with some omg moments with all the 'twist, turns, secrets, suspense, lies, drama and deceit' one could possibly think of. I was really so happy to see how well this author was able to deliver a completed series that was so well brought out.  I mean every single detail was accounted for leaving the reader knowing everything that was going on with each and every one of these characters.  Wow...what a good read was all that is left to be said.  Oh, that ending was beautifully carried out in seeing that finally love won out for two special people.
