My Thoughts.....

I wasn't sure I was going to like this read but I am so glad I won this read from this author where I did find this read one good read. The characters from Elroy, Frank to Sally were some very unique believable characters that were relatable and will be hard to forget. Oh yes I did find myself laughing out loud and even some tears while reading through this story. This was such a good read of a 33 year old [Frank] who is staying in a old folks home to use up a prepaid rent from a dead relative. Now why was this? Frank wanted only to prove a point! The owner refused to refund Frank his money so he decides to live their in spite to the owner. Wow, is all I have left to say to this humorous, dramatic and heartwarming sarcastic read. You will just have to pick up this interesting read to see how well this author delivers this interesting funny and well written read to its readers.

"Well Read Black Girl Finding Our Stories, Discovering Ourselves" by Glory Edim

My Thoughts...

If you love reading as I do you will find this read a very interesting one and if you are black it will even mean so much more. I loved all that this author brought out in this 'inspiring collection of
essays by black women writers, curated by the founder of the popular book club Well Read Black Girl.' These are anthologies of essays by some black amazing women writers featuring: "Jesmyn Ward (Sing, Unburied, Sing); Tayari Jones (An American Marriage); Lynn Nottage (Sweat); Jacqueline Woodson (Another Brooklyn); Gabourey Sidibe (This Is Just My Face); Morgan Jerkins (This Will Be My Undoing); Rebecca Walker (Black, White and Jewish); and Barbara Smith (Home Girls: A Black Feminist Anthology)." These stories were right there where it will capture your heart being such touching inspirational reads that really made me feel like I was coming home. I wasn't able to pick out my favorite because I seemed to enjoy them all. With books being so important we also can see why the storytelling and representation are so very important too in its delivery where we are given the 'diversity of voices its organization of essays along with its strong message making it all so very memorable and powerful. This is definitely one read that I would recommend to all girls and women alike [especially of color] where one can possible find a little bit of themselves in these stories.

"Stuck in Manistique" by Dennis Cuesta

My Thoughts.....

"Stuck in Manistique" was really a good entertaining read. I found both of the main characters [Mark and Emily] who were strangers that were 'brought together due to some unlikely circumstances' with some amusing as well as endearing moments. What will happen when all of these guest show up at this Bed and Breakfast that Mark had inherited from his estranged aunt that will only to 'add a houseful of oddly eccentric characters?' These characters will take the reader on quite a wide ride as each one having their own story with all of the things that were happening in their lives. Who was this aunt who was a international aid doctor who had ran a bed and breakfast in her retirement and had left this place to Mark? And the mystery continues about this situation is that Mark knows very little about this aunt other than knowing 'she traveled the worked as a humanitarian doctor in war town countries' but the jest to it all he had never met her. Now, to get the rest of this good story you will just have to pick up "Stuck in Manistique" to see how well this author brings it all out to the reader.

Be ready for twist, turns and humours moments that will definitely keep the reader entertained especially about this area in Michigan. I enjoyed how this author was able to give the readers of just how 'one event can bring so many others things to light.' I loved the connection that Mark had with each one of the guest and that twist at the end was quite a good one.

My Thoughts....

I enjoyed this read that featured Bo [Boraine...a birth name that she hated] [Spice...her bike name] Casserly and Imari Mark Newsome.  It was interesting seeing how Bo would win over Imari when it came to the 'Lady Guardian' who were not a biker gang as he had thought.  However, I had a problem with the heroine in that a lot of problems that came up were of her own making and that was her not sharing with Imari about her past life with that crazy ex.  Yes, there were some good steamy sex scenes that were over the top and suspense from both of their ex's that will keep your attention turning the pages to see what was coming next for these two characters.

I enjoyed this read of  'Lady Guardians: Cut: Nationals' that featuring... Cut and Caleb.  What will happen after Cut meets up with Caleb?  What was supposed to be a one time thing however turned into something quite differently for these two.  I thought it was very interesting how this author let these two come together and finally finding out just who these they were and how there jobs were so very similar.  This will be one sweet ride that will be 'raw, yet sexy and oh yes a HEA' that will keep your attention till the very end.

My Thoughts....

Of all of my readings on the Lady Guardians...this one 'Freedom' was one of my favorite novels. The main characters Angelica Starling [Freedom] and Elijah Massey [Domino] were so perfect for each other. I was sorry the way Angelica's ex [Myron] got in there and tried to upset her life but in the end .... it wasn't to be for Domino was there for Freedom. I loved this entire story. It was truly believable and all I can say is that Domino was one guy...yes we could certainly wish for in more that one way. Yes, Domino may have been at one time had a 'bad boy' reputation but Angelica was their to wheel him into her heart. Wow. I loved this read! 💓💓💓

My Thoughts....

I enjoyed this storyline that featured Antoinette [Toni] Keys and Dietrich [Dirt] Tate in 'The Lady Guardians: Riding Dirty.' It really a rare tale where you find both of the main characters were truly 'total alphas.' Now to find out why that was you will just have to pick up this good read to find out because these two really did some dirty riding together in more than one way!! This is quite some read where you find the heroine is a 'Lady Guardian' who was strong willed sexy and very opened minded and then their is the hero who was a 'Reaper' and also one fantastic cook, and oh yes one sexy guy. It seems like these two Toni and Dirt may not have gotten along but one thing they had in common was their 'mad chemistry.' After all of what happens for these two it will be certain that by the end Toni and Dirt were truly meant for one another. 💓

"Lady Guardians: Shifting Gears" by Olivia Gaines

My Thoughts....

I enjoyed this read of 'Lady Guardians: Shirting Gears' featuring 'Keoni [Hot Stuff] and Dave Gear [Throttle]. Who would have thought that these two a Librarian and this biker would develop such a loving relationship where he loves her intelligence, her funniness and independence. Now this whole way these two met you will just have to pick up this good read and see how that was done in Chapter 1! I will say that their interaction was over the top...HOT!

For Keoni loved his easy going and the fact that he had moved to take care of his grandfather, Poppa J. However, what will happen when it comes out that Keoni had previously dated Throttle's cousin [Carlton] and that she had no idea they were kin to each other? That indeed was a very interesting scene!

One thing that Keoni wanted and that was to become a Lady Guardian and this read explains it all so very well that you will not be able to put it down until the very end. I will say this is a good read of how one could possibly become a 'Lady Biker.'

If you are looking for a good read of a neat woman, getting her machine [bike] and her man along with some crazy family twists then you have come to the right place for a beautiful awesome ride of "Lady Guardians: Shifting Gears."

My Thoughts.....

If you are looking for a scary psycho read you have truly come to the right place for "Hanover House" [the prequel] will give it to you and so much more that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you are turning the pages to see what this author has for you next. We find psychiatrist Evelyn Talbot will have her work all cut out for her as she has plans to work with serial killers at the state facility in Alaska. Will she find all of the answers she needs having survived an attack when she was a teenager? Be prepared for graphic and gruesome thriller suspenseful read at times that will keep your attention with this particular psycho serial killer by the name of Jasper. However, one good thing about this read is that Alaskan State Trooper, Sergeant Amtrak is there to help Evelyn keep safe. Will these two develop feelings for each other? Well, to find that out and so much more you will have to pick up this prequel to see what all this author has for the reader. Be ready for one heck of a good psycho read. Note: There will be a series of this read...so it not over yet!

"The Graffiti Effect" by Perri Forrest

My Thoughts....

This read was another good ones by this author that will keep your attention, even though it was a long read. It was quite interesting seeing how Kassidi [Kass] Henson will change after spending a weekend in Vegas with her friends just before her wedding. After meeting Marco during his Vegas show as his 'performance as a erotic, mesmerizing, The Graffiti Effect' dancer Kass's life will never be the same. This was a very good story of how a women who thought she was ready for marriage but after a 'life changing decisions that happens in her life in Vegas; she takes a different road. This whole story will give the reader some very interesting characters along with a good story that will keep you turning the pages to see what is coming next. I will say there were a few questions that were left unanswered that did leave me wondering about...like in that epilogue was off the chain where I hoped we would have gotten more of what all is going on with Kaia [Macro's half sister]. Will she ever get caught for all she has done? How long will this family put up with her mess before it's too late? Oh, well I was just left wondering!

"The Faithful Side Bitch Part 2" by Racquel Williams

My Thoughts.....

Wow, this author really gives the reader quite one amazing reads where the 'drama, plots, and secrets' continue from part 1 of this series. Now in part 2 as the drama continues along with craziness, murder and betrayal we will also get some twist that will have you shaking your head and just saying wow! During the read I thought I caught something about some perfume that had me wondering who owned it, but certainly not ones best friend! The characters from Brooklyn, Jihad, Jas, Trina, Briana, to Alyssa to name a few were truly all something else that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next. I am sorry to say I really didn't care for any of these characters [who could you trust] however, this author did a wonderful job the way they were presented giving us a good storyline. By the end I was left wondering did any of these characters really know what true love and friendship was all about. Thank you to the author for giving us one interesting ending.

I enjoyed reading 'Sword and Shield' as this author really knows how to hold your attention will all that is going on in her read. This is the second series with 'Flame In The Night' being her first one that continues on into this one. The characters from Lakyn, Reuel, Nolan, Adofe, Petrine, Giselle, Kollin, Finn, Galen to many more will keep your attention as the 'independence in a world has gone mad as their will be some discovery that things are not always what they seem.' I liked how 'deceptions mounts' and yes Lakyn chore of beliefs will be greatly challenged. Secret will be found where the 'Most High, and the Aewyr have been led astray.' How will Lakyn take it when she is suggested to be the 'Bright One of prophecy-the savior who will save them all.' What will happen when Lakyn discovers 'her true identity?' You will really have to keep up with this story because there will be so much going on! How will this be a changing world as Lakyn discovers the 'truth becomes stranger than fiction and the enemies become allies?' Will Lakyn be able 'to redeem Myndon on Aewyr?' To get all of these questions answered you will have to pick up "Sword and Shield" and see what will happen.

Be ready for a story that will be full of it all from some romance, suspense, lots of action and emotions that will keep you turning the pages to see what will be coming next. Then at the end you will have to wait for more from this author's book 3 as we 'follow Lakyn, Reuel, and friends on their quest to save Aewyr and the ones they love.'

"Her Alpha Viking" by Sheryl Nantus

My Thoughts......

I found "Her Alpha Viking" a good fantasy paranormal read that each chapter will definitely keep your attention. We find from the read that Erik Harrison should have died on the battle field with his fellow soldiers but was spared due to a Valhallan, Brenna Lund who had been a fierce Valkyrie. Now we find Brenna is on a mission to track Erik down in order to correct her mistake. After a year of tracing Erik, Brenna is finally able to catch up with Erick but still unable to do the job of killing him.

Well, these two will come together and work out a plan to 'stay out of the hands of the hunter [Kara] that has been sent after them to complete this job' that Brenna had fail to do. What a story this will be as they try to save themselves while they will also have to fight for their love that seems to be also happening.

I found this story to be a good love story as we find Erik who had been saved by a beautiful angel and now lived off the grid making a living as an MMA style fighter. It was quite interesting seeing how well he dealt with the challenges that the higher powers that were presented to him.
As for Brenna who had been a Valkyrie for centuries was now stripped of her powers [now a fallen Valkyrie].

Now it seems like these two will come together and give us a very creative fantasy paranormal read with some reality that will flow so well in this well written story. With such fiery and brave characters the reader will have delivered a quite fabulous Norse mythology read while also adding a parts of the struggles of the veteran's in America [traveling Veterans]. So, as the story continues we have 'two traveling people, making new human friends while worried about an impending attack from Kara.' Now, how will this all turn out?

Be ready for a heart wrenching story that will take you on a fast paced journey where their will be Valkyries, soldiers, captivating characters that will present the reader with a 'fun entertaining read, with romance and yes, a Alpha Viking hunk.'

Will Brenna and Erik finally get to peace and happiness? This is one of those stories that you will find some humor and you may even shed a tear or two. To find out how this will all come together you will have to pick up 'Her Alpha Viking' to see how well this author presents this story so well to the readers and I will say that final fight and its aftermath was my favorite part of the read where it all comes together.
