Book Synopsis:

Detective Sawyer, however, strays from the main investigation, following the mysterious Chosen who, prior to her relationship with Trap, has no public record of history, nor family.
Sawyer and Chosen clash in a routine interview. Sawyer, the proud sista who juggles her honest career with her wholesome family, sees Chosen as a gold digger who has built her cartoonish curves from the surgeon’s table, in order to build a lavish lifestyle from the beds of rich men. Chosen is disturbed by Sawyer’s judgment, so by nightfall Chosen sees to it that Sawyer is disturbed by suspicions that Darius might be cheating.
Sawyer’s life is in a grinder: dealing with the pressure of a headline case; a millionaire thot hell-bent on ruining her life; witnesses dying; a troubled marriage versus an opportunistic whole-snack detective partner with lick-able abs. Sawyer is at the brink of losing her cool, her badge, and her happiness – in that order – if she can’t solve the murders and figure out just who is chosen."

"Karma Wears Versace" by Rod Palmer
My Rationalization:
"Karma Wears Versace" was a well-written story that was so full of action, twists/turns, and full of some very interesting characters that were off the chain. This story will definitely keep you turning the pages to find out more in this murder mystery crime thriller read. This author really gives the reader quite a plot in the storytelling read.
We find Atlanta detective Aisha Sawyer trying to solve a celebrity's murder while seeming to have problems with someone that she thinks is the murderer named Chosen. Now how these two women are caused to clash with each other will presents other problems especially for Sawyer. You will just have to pick this novel up to see how Chosen will cause problems in Sawyer's marriage. I will stop here and say this story really had me shaking my head and saying wow I didn't see that coming! I wasn't too sure about detective Sawyer as she dealt with her husband Darius, her work partner Travis and then with this Chosen person as it seems as though Sawyer's happiness seems to start swirling down the drain. Will this case cost Sawyer her marriage? Now, why was that? All I will say it that it was quite a mess in how it all comes together in this rather detailed read.
By the end of this story, I was left wondering just who really was this Chosen and yes why was she chosen to do as she had been asked to do? So, I see we will have to wait and get more about this story that will be continued...
