The Vow: Until Death Do Us Part Kindle Edition by Cornelia Smith

Book Synopsis:

"If you liked Gillian Flynn---Gone Girl, you’ll love The Vow.
Alisa Hopkins brutally shoots her husband, and calmly waits for the police to arrest her. With a weapon and a signed confession in hand, Deputy D.A. Patricia Patterson believes a conviction is a slam dunk---that is, until the case completely unravels. Now with little evidence, Patterson goes head to head with the cunning Hopkins in a desperate search for the truth and the burning answer to one burning question: how is Alisa Hopkins getting away with murder?"

"The Vow: Until Death do Us Part" by Cornelia Smith

My Rationalization:

I found this story quite impressive in its intriguing and mystery of what a person will do when life is not going accord to their plan. I wasn't sure that this wife [Alisa Hopkins] snapped or just was crazy; however, she was definitely one scorned person that was determined to get her revenge after all was said and done because her husband didn't honor his vows. By the end, will this sociopath be able to get out of this situation, especially when a lawyer like Deputy D. S. Patricia Patterson, where it seems like everyone is against her, is not willing to give up with taking Alisa down for what Alisa had done? Will Patricia be able to figure out what and how Alisa had gotten away with this murder? To get all of the questions answered, you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author brings it all out and will still leave one wanting to know more as we see at the end that the story will be continued in 'The Promise.'
