Book Excerpt:
"Co-parenting is hard. When one parent suffers from mental illness, it’s harder. When the other parent is living with his gay lover, whom he left his wife to be with, it becomes nearly impossible. What ensues is a battle for full custody that has Melissa and Ryan fighting dirty. In their quest or victory, they lose sight of what’s most important—their beautiful daughter, Suni. Will these two hotheads be able to see beyond their rage and focus on doing what’s best for Suni before their joint custody becomes completely disjointed?"

My Opinion:
The story really had me turning the pages to see what was coming next for these characters. I felt sorry for the daughter, Suni, as her parents when back and forth with their mess. I was glad when it was brought to light what he was doing to Melissa. We find Melissa was already a mess from suffering from a nervous breakdown, definitely didn't need what Ryan was trying to do...all to get custody of their daughter. I wished that Ryan had listened to his partner Gerald who tried to help him, but it did no good so that I wasn't surprised by what happened between the two.
All in all, this was quite a read, definitely being one 'Disjointed Custody' battle.
