My Thoughts....

This was a beautiful story of Gabby and Evan.  After being interviewed and hired for a nanny job for his son Milo by Evan was their be a attraction between these two?  After having to deal with an ex wife Nikki will Evan be able to see pass this attraction he had for Gabby?  What will happen as they both decide to see what this would lead to and let's not leave out the hot, spicy and steamy sex scenes.

Well, it will take a minute to see what was up with that ex as she did try to come between these two.

What I had wondered about was should Nikki have gotten off so easy as what she had done?  As you continue to read through this story you will find it is well written and yes, a little predictable as the author presents us a good story that showed that true love can win out in the end.

All of this is due to secrets that will come out giving the reader quite a lot of twist and turns before we can get the answers and then we are left in with a cliffhanger to get the rest of the story.

"My Thoughts.....

I found Mr. Confidence a very interesting mystery urban erotic thriller with suspense that involved Mr. Don Juan Jackson who has recently gotten out of prison and has a main focus and that was getting to know his six year old daughter Trinity.  With the help of Don Juan's [hid childhood friend], Lex he becomes involved with new schemes that draw him  into the 'white collar crimes of identity and money theft' leaving the drug game alone.  With Don Juan's main objective is to get custody of his daughter but it seems like his BM has other plans that will certainly cause a lots of trouble before that can or will happen.  Will Don Jan be able to rebuild a relationship with his daughter and do all of this stuff with Lex and be able to stay out of prison. Well, all that is left to say is there will be a lots of twist and turns with revenge, with scheming and scams that will be presented in this well written depiction of this type of urban life.  The characters were well developed, portrayed where the reader will find many were spineless and thugs however, I did find Don Juan Jackson  was somewhat  'calm, cool, respectful, and rational but still a con man where he committed white collar crimes' and I would definitely say  by the end of the read he was definitely  'Mr. Confidence.'  

Be ready for a fast paced read that will keep your attention as you are turning the pages to see what is coming next in this quite interesting story.

"Expect Moore" by Celeste Granger

My Thoughts:  

This was another good story of about a 'Moore Sister' Daphne who was 'Head Mistress of Moore Academy for Girls.  Daphne had been dating Stephen but finding him to be a cheater oh well. How will life go on for Daphne? While trying to get her car valet parked at the Wyndham Hotel she meets in frustration a fine brother Mr. St John unbeknown to Daphne would see him again soon at her sister's Charity party.  I loved how this all started...from cheating incident ...the meeting with the valet parking ...the party for her sister...the dancing...the trip....on to problems from that Stephen guy presents and finally...well this is where I say you will have to pick up this good read to see if Daphne and Nicholas will  come together in the end.  The secondary characters...the sisters and the parents were over to top...well developed, defined and so very believable giving this story one that will keep your attention.  By the end will we see these two...  Daphne and Nicholas finally getting their HEA?

My Thoughts.....

As this story continues on we see that that Blaque, FeFe, Rose and Trouble have been 'thrust into the evil grasp of the Chin Orchid Dynasty.'  Now what they will have to do in this 'Orchid Dynasty' will simply be off the chart... horrible things from 'deception, abuse, rape and murder.' When it looks like things maybe going in there favor it seems like that is not to be.  Will the 'Blaque Orchids' be able to make it out of this mess as they try to 'escape the grasp of the evil entity that holds their lives in their  hands?'  This is one of those  reads that you will have to pick up and see how this author presents it so well to the reader.  Then at the end be prepared because you will still be left wanting more.

My Thoughts....

This is definitely one of those read that you will find it hard to put down due to the fact there is so much going on with these characters that simply don't seem to stop.  I will say this if you have not read book 1 of 'Dangerous To Love' one may find this story somewhat hard to keep up with because definitely the first read explains so much to what continues in this second part 2.  Still we have a crazy mother Mrs.Caldwell dictating it all, Karmel is still Karmel but do I see her getting her come ups [karma] with what all she has done?  Now we find Avani is still alive but with that spider bite will it be for long?  Then there is Sparkle who doesn't seem to be able to catch a break and then what is up with Alayna and Dre?  Well, to get all of these questions answered you will just have to pick up this part 2  to get some answered however, we will still be left wanting more answers in part 3.

My Thoughts....

Be ready for a read that will keep your attention as Dominique [Destiny, D]. LaTosha and Logan will give the reader quite a downright engaging read that will keep you turning the pages to see what will be happening next.  

Be ready for all that Ms Destiny brings to the table as you will see how well she is 'fueled on revenge' as she is actively involved with getting by revenge for what had happened to her father.  Will LaTosha and Logan be their for her?  As Rodney and Bruno are brought into all of this will we see how "Friendships are tested, Loyalty is on the line, families are torn and broken,and honesty is now where in this picture."  What will happen to these three ladies are pulled in different situations that will all come out in the end?  Who will be left standing?  To get all of these questions answered you will have to pick up this engaging good read to see how it will all come out.

My Thoughts....

Wow, another one of this author's  wonderful series Mind's Eye #5, 'Through Her Touch.'  It was a good story that dealt up close and personal with Trudy Tucker  and Levi Wolfe as they once again solve  another psychic murder.  While attend a funeral of a friend in Eureka springs, Arkansas what will happen as 'Trudy begins to receive visions from the murder that will only start her on a hunt to expose the killer.'  Why did her husband Levi want to be far away from this Ozark town? How will Trudy and Levi be drawn into this psychic murder?  

The characters... from [Trudy, Levi, Dr. Althea McClain, Darla, Guy, Quintara, Glenn O'Connell, Rhema, Sunshine, Perchance, Sadie, Derek, Cleo Tucker, Mrs. Tucker, Bryce, Karen, George, Alan, Chason Bolt, Joshua Longfeather, Kathryn Rubyott, Shirley Jo, Randy Watkins, Ethel, Joan Braydon, Sabra, Eudora, Mouse, Wes, Mya, Gonzo, Anna, Sissy Franklin, Sheriff Billy Rocknell, Eleanor Dunleavy, Lt. Gloria Moore and I am sure I have left out a few that were well presented are over the top of the chart in being well so developed, defined, portrayed and believable that will keep your interest as you are turning the pages to see what is coming next.  However, I will say toward the end I was able to guess who the killer was, so you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author presents this story to the reader.  Be ready for a good read that has psychics, seances, a bone reader, jealousy and in the end  a murderer who was caught that was just out for 'karma.'

My Thoughts...

What a interesting bunch of interesting entertaining collection of stories that will keep you turning the pages to see what was happening not only in Jamaica but also America.  This Jamaica culture was really one intriguing read. I enjoyed reading how each story had a 'person of Jamaican descent with most of the story being of self discover, remembrance and moments of transcendence.'  I loved how the read made the reader be caught up in the 'everyday voices that dealt with just everyday life.  The reader will get a little bit of it all from such as ...'Who are these brothers and sisters, mothers, old loves and absent fathers?.'  Be ready for a read full of  not only 'tender but some heartbreaking stories' that will definitely leave you only wanting more of these collection of stories.

My Thoughts....

What a wonderful read this author bring out to the reader that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what going to happen next in Sasha Edmond's  life.  We find her quite a hard motivated worker as a top sales rep for Wexel Pharmaceuticlas, Inc and having the love of her life her fiance, Damien Taylor why wasn't this enough for her?  After Sasha find her fiance maybe cheating why does she break off their engagement before she really finds out if anything had happened?  From this situation along with her mother being ill and needing  a new medication why does she become so captivated with a wealthy pharmaceutical businessman by the name of Wesley Dunbar?  Well, before all of this can be explained there is still a question and that is why did Sasha have trust issues with the men in her life from her father, fiance, and now another charmer?  I loved how this author brings this story out so well in this read.  How will this all turn out for Sasha as 'a surfeit of lies and deception will cause a web of mixed emotions?'  The reader will get a well rounded story as we see things will change mightily for Sasha as she will finally be able to open her eyes to finally see what is going on all around her.  From her job, friends, her father and even Damien it will be a delightful read in seeing Sasha change for the good as she journeys into maturity coming from 'betrayal, friendships, love interest, her family and career.'  In the end the reader will get quite a good read from "Two Steps Past the Altar" which presents so well a wonderful story of 'redemption, forgiveness, friendship and love.'

"Life After Death: A Romance Suspense" by T. J. Graham

My Thoughts....

I found this story to be very interesting in how a death can affect a person. For Mackenzie Hill after the death of her husband she was now raising three children and working as as journalist who had received a award who had been urged by her dear friend Joel Sanders to 'explore dating' and that was just what she did.

So, when Keith Wilson a sex crimes detective asks Mackenzie for a date all seemed to go well on the date until it didn't. Then due to Mackenzie's daughter [Traci] problems she meet Dr. Andre Quinton Lang. Not long after meeting the doctor and after one date all seemed to be going well for these two. However Dr. Lang had been through quite a bite as the 'unsolved murder of his wife and daughter' in Memphis, TN still plagued him since this had not been a solved case. Now we find him trying to move on now living in Atlanta. However, Dr. Lang was unaware that this killer had followed him to Atlanta. Mackenzie had shared all with Andre about her life but for some reason he did share all that had happened to his wife and daughter. Definitely secrets that are not shared as in this situation will definitely come back to bite you! Well, when things start to come out how will all of this vengeance shatter Mackenzie's world?

This author really does a good job at giving the reader quite a suspenseful romantic read that will keep you turning the pages till the end to see just who and why this person was definitely involved with Dr. Lang.

I will say that the epilogue wasn't my favorite ending because I didn't really like the detective as well as I liked the doctor. Yes, I know Andre had problems and definitely should have never stopped going to his therapist. However, I could see that this would definitely be one of those reads that would need a part two in seeing if there could ever be anything ever happening between Mackenzie and Andre as one can see that 'Life After Death' is not a easy road. Hopefully, Andre would seek therapy and get the help that he needed. I did feel that there was love that Andre did have for Mackenzie and her children. Yes, as I said earlier this wasn't my favorite ending, however the story was still interesting that will keep your attention as you are turning the pages to the end.

"Lady Guardians: Onyx Rides" by Celeste Granger

My Thoughts....

This was a beautifully well written short story on how Onyx Malone is trying to move on from a painful relationship that she had with Dillon Long and what will happened when she meets Egypt Anderson who was not only motorcycle rider but he was a CEO of his own construction company. The story was just a wonderful intriguing story of what can happen when one is not willing to take no for the answer. Sometime desperate things have to be done and in this case it was having to get a restraining order because this guy was truly a nut job and did not understand the word NO! The author did a wonderful job in presenting this story that will give the reader something to ponder over long after the read. As we find Onyx being introduced to riding on a motorcycle will she like it? In the end will this hero get this heroine get their HEA? Well, all that is left to be said is that you will have to pick up this good read to see just how this story will comes out in the end that will definitely bring out what is not love.

What I really enjoyed about this story was when Onyx addresses the judge on how she felt real love was.... from the quote...

"You honor, I appreciate the opportunity to address the court. There is one thing I know for sure, Love, real love doesn't look like this." ....

"Real love doesn't frighten you or force itself on you. Real love does luck in dark places or go bump in the night. Real love does not hurt. It is not pain, It is not hurtful, it is not fear, and it is not this. I don't love Dillon Long, I have no desire to have Dillon Long in my life anymore. I know that Dillon is not what love looks like."

As I said earlier this was a good read.
