"Love and Other Mistakes" by Jessica Kate

My Rationalization:
This was quite an interesting story that is mainly about Natalie Groves, Jeremy Walters and several more characters [some flawed] that will tie this story all together giving the reader a good read.  It was good in how this author was able to tie this story even into an intriguing Christian read in which we find the main character [heronine]  will be forced to reevaluate her life as according to what was true for her in God's plan. The story will deal with some real-life issues as  'infidelity [love triangle], illness, secrets, debts, forgiveness, self -worth, insecurities' that were all intertwined in these families in this good read.   With saying that be ready for a story where lots of drama, leaving one to see if this couple [Natalie & Jeremy] will get a second chance at love, also there will be a terminal illness, an ill baby named Oliver and a moody teenage girl Lili [with some dysfunctional parents and an unyielding patriarch] that will add the icing on the cake to this story as these side stories all come together.  By the end of "Love and Other Mistakes", the reader will get a good satisfying end where there will be much love and care for one another as we see that Natalie learns about herself and how faith opened her eyes to a wonderful future. I will say the title: "Love and Other Mistakes"  tells the whole story.

The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins

Book Synopsis:

"Sarah Dove is no ordinary bookworm. To her, books have always been more than just objects: they live, they breathe, and sometimes they even speak. When Sarah grows up to become the librarian in her quaint Southern town of Dove Pond, her gift helps place every book in the hands of the perfect reader. Recently, however, the books have been whispering about something out of the ordinary: the arrival of a displaced city girl named Grace Wheeler.

If the books are right, Grace could be the savior that Dove Pond desperately needs. The problem is, Grace wants little to do with the town or its quirky residents—Sarah chief among them. It takes a bit of urging, and the help of an especially wise book, but Grace ultimately embraces the challenge to rescue her charmed new community. In her quest, she discovers the tantalizing promise of new love, the deep strength that comes from having a true friend, and the power of finding just the right book.

“A mesmerizing fusion of the mystical and every day” (Susan Andersen, New York Times bestselling author), The Book Charmer is a heartwarming story about the magic of books that feels more than a little magical itself. Prepare to fall under its spell."

"The Book Charmer" by Karen Hawkins

My Rationalization:

I really enjoyed reading "The Book Charmer" for so many reasons. It has a little bit of it all from its charm to a touch of pure magic realism. All of the characters [Sarah, Grace, Daisy, Mama G, Trav to name a few] will give you a lift from one thing or thought to another as they intertwined with each other. With Sarah Dove having the gift that books speak to her where she 'places books and readers together' giving them out to the ones that need it. What will happen when this stranger Grace Wheeler comes to Dove Pond with her ailing foster mother and niece? For Grace will this be a just a temporary stopover or will it be a place for her to stop and smell the flowers that are truly there for her? What will the book tell Grace since Sarah books have never been wrong?

If you are looking for a charming delightful read with a little bit of it all from "magic, fun, heartwarming, heartbreaking romance, friendship, family drama, sister, cats, dogs, small town serious dilemma, foster parent, Alzheimer's, PTSD, and I am sure I have left out some more about this well-written story. This is where I say you will have to pick up "The Book Charmer" to get the whole enjoyable story.

Giving Him The Best That I Got Kindle Edition by T. Nicole

Book Synopsis:

"Hailey Armstrong, a Chicago writer, appears to have everything under control when it comes to her career. Determined to build a classy life for herself and put herself in a position so that she no longer had to depend on her boyfriend KJ, who at every chance he’s given, reminds her that he’s the one bringing in the money and is taking care of her financially, Hailey decides to write a hot and juicy fiction based, tell-all book revealing some of her own juiciest secrets as well as the scandalous secrets of her friends in hopes of making it on the Best Seller’s List finally giving her the recognition that she feels she deserves and a true reason to leave her old hood life behind her along with all her hood friends behind.
Feeling the pressure of her publisher to deliver results, Hailey must complete this book before going to New York to attend two of her closest and best friend’s wedding, but as time ticks away, Hailey finds herself not only struggling to complete her manuscript on time, but she finds herself in a real-life battle that could either cause her to lose everything that she’s been working hard for, or possibly lead her to the one thing that she’s been secretly longing for, her true love.

"Giving Him The Best That I Got" by T. Nicole

My Rationalization:

All I can say is Wow! This is one of those stories that will stay with you long after the read. Poor Hailey wanting to make it in her career of writing a 'bestseller' shared a little too much that lead to a whole big mess with her friends. What did Hailey do in order to achieve this? Well, she "decides to write a hot and juicy fiction based, tell-all book revealing some of her own juices secrets as well as the scandalous secrets of her friends in hopes of making it o the Best Seller List finally giving her the recognition that she feels she deserves ad a true reason to leave her old hood life behind along with all of her hood friends behind." What will happen when her friend [Quiana] gets a copy of her novel? All I can say is as you continue to read this story that at their friends' wedding rehearsal [Napoleon & Nicole] was turned out as the secrets, lies, and scandals start coming out and omg what all will come out from this bestseller. What situation will this put the characters: KJ, Q, Napoleon, Nicole, and DeAndre in? Will Hailey 'take responsibility for her wrongdoings?' And will she be able to fix this mess that she is all caught up in? One thing for sure is what I got from this read is the best-kept secret one can have is that you don't share it with anyone. They are called secrets for a reason!

The ending was quite surprising in that will this group of friends be able to forgive and forget? Well, I guess until another book comes out haha! I found this a good story as we learn even more from the story about secrets, lies, and scandals. To get the whole story you will have to pick up this good read "Giving Him The Best That I Got" to see how well the author brings it all out so well to the reader.

"Sable:  Tales of a Blackened Soul" by Deidra D. S. Green

My Rationalisation:

This was the second book in the Tales of a Blackened Soul Series that continues on with Sable who likes darkness.  However, the story also continues on somewhat from the last series, Midnight where it dealt with London's remarkable gift [third eye]. I did enjoy how this author was able to bring in Sable as well as London who also had remarkable gifts. Now, how were their gifts different from each other? I found the characters in these series very well defined as well as some being intriguing.

With Sable, the reader will find that her powerful gift wasn't one she chooses but a gift that chose her.  From Sable's birth to Dr. Weinstein trying to get into her gift to finally, in the end, receiving a letter about her mother.  What will happen as Sable travels to New Orleans and meets Mama Bah along with London at 8888 Birch Tree Lane?  Will Sable and London finally learn about their mothers from Mama Bah?

To find out how this entire story will come to a certain ending, I would suggest that you pick up the first series and then go on to the second one in order to keep up with this incredible story that seems to continue on and on.  I am sure by the time the reader gets to the ending of the whole 'Tales of a Blackened Soul series' [4] the readers will get one heck of a good series read.

How will Kerry and her nieces finally find the peace they so well needed? I will say this was quite a read that had so many twists and turns that you will simply have to keep up with all that is going on. When you think this person is straight you find out that may be completely false.

It was good seeing Kerry finally getting the peace that she needed so much in her life. From personal issues to rape, to death in the family, her nieces coming up missing, husband issues believe me her plate was truly filled with it all. I don't want to say too much more other than to truly understand this series you much read not only this series 'Peace At Last' but the other two series to really see what Kerry, her sister Khloe and her two nieces Shanlya and Skylar had to go through to get there. "The Floating Feldmans" by Elyssa Friedland

My Rationalization:

I found "The Floating Feldman's" quite a story that lots of families have gone through in one way or another.  For this family, this matriarch was turning seventy and invited her son,  daughter, son-in-law and the two grandchildren to come along with her and her husband on a week's Caribbean cruise for her birthday that she would pay for.  I will say that these characters were really something that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next in trying to understand them.

It seems like everyone wanted to come on this cruise but omg what kind of attitudes, trust issues, resentments, insecurities, and secrets did this family seem to have among themselves? How will this vacation turn out for this  Friedland/Connelly family?  With the uncle having business with his selling of pot, a daughter being a shopaholic whose bankrupted the family, their father being ill and this story will continue on and will leave you shaking your head and saying Wow!  And it seems like this family wasn't alone in having problems for the cruise director had problems not only with his cruse people [this family] but in  his own personal life too.  I could definitely understand his thoughts of if getting married would be the best thing for him after seeing and hearing what all goes on in some families.

Be ready to find some humor in this good read that will definitely add to the storyline. It will be really interesting to see how all of these secrets will come out by the end of the cruise.  So to see how this family drama all comes out you will have to pick up "The Floating Feldmans" to see how well this author presents to the reader a well-written story.  I enjoyed how well this author will answer all the questions of everyone's situation by the end of the story.

Will these two very stubborn people be able to put away the hatred and jealousy that almost ruined them?  I loved this strong female-led [Mira] that will be able to soften when needed.  Also, it was good seeing Ward finally being able to know he had found the right person to fall in love with. Seeing these friends intertwined with each other along with their husband, boyfriends and lovers was quite an interesting read.  Be ready for a little bit of it all from 'secrets, multiple relationships, friendships, laughter, tears, betrayal, rape, deceit, heartache, reconciliations, to redemption.'
