"Death Around the Corner"
Young women were being murdered, and Corrine feared she would be next. Her resemblance to the murdered women was striking. Would she become the killers’ next victim? She struck out to catch a killer before they could kill again. Was she on the right trail? Would Corrine prove to be a better sleuth than the detective assigned to the case? This was definitely a thriller read.
"Sister"
Sister had it rough growing up. She had four brothers and was the only girl. As she grew older, she realized she wasn’t as pretty, like other girls her age. She was merely unattractive. Her own family called her ugly names, to the point she became withdrawn. One thing about Sister, though, she was smart. She could out spell and read better than her older brothers, excelling in every subject in school. She blossomed in every area of her life, not just her looks. Her prowess, leadership, and ability to absorb new things like a sponge would earn her worldwide recognition. She may not have been easy on the eyes in the perception of others. However, her metamorphosis had a beautiful ending. Her own family didn’t recognize the person standing in front of them. There was lots of drama in this story.
"Wastin My Time"
Tina made many, on the spur of the moment decisions in her life. Ignoring red flags when it came to Richard was her most significant and most regrettable. She would soon find out what the mystery was about him. Have you ever regretted a decision, wishing you could undo it? Well, this was by far the worst decision of her life. When she loved, she loved hard. Her love was taken advantage of by the one person she hoped would be her protector. What started out as a few fun dates, lead to lies, deceit, and bitterness. Richard was a lesson learned and a complete waste of time. What a swan of a read!

My Rationalization:
I enjoyed all three of these short stories!
"Death Around the Corner"
What was it that Corrine felt was happening all around her? With victims looking like Corrine,
would she be the next one to die from this killer? With dreams of being killed, would she be able to make it? What was up with this Leon fellow she had dated...was he following her? Would the detective receive her help? Why did Corrine want to go on another date with Leon? What was so
strange about her friend Beth who had introduced her to Leon? What was so odd about these cousins? Would the detective be able to keep a promise to Corrine, and that was 'when this is all
over, I'll still be alive?' Well, this was quite an exciting story, and you will have to pick up this
good read to see just who this murderer was? I will say I wasn't surprised at all!

Rebecca Renee Charles was the first girl in this family with four brothers. Sister may not have been attractive, but one thing for sure, she was smart. She lived in an unhealthy environment due to the way being treated by her mother, brothers, and father, often finding herself 'retreating to a corner with her journal and write' about 'her pain and loneliness.' Sister wanted out! Being smart in school, she made the Dean's Honor Roll; however, this was not important to her parents. Now, why was this?
Sister being smart, she was able to tutor students after school and kept this a secret from her parents.
She was saving her earnings. Sister had planned on leaving home after graduation, and she did just that.
What will happen when she gets a job at the Ms. Shelia Divine modeling agency? Now that she was currently working, saving her money for her surgery for a makeover, making her beautifully different.
What will happen when she was asked to take over for Ms. Divine due to her illness. What happened was that Ms. Divine wanted Sister to carry on her name by giving her the agency. Now she was the owner of Shelia's Diving Agency! Now to get the rest of this well-written story, you are going to have to pick up "Sister" to see what will happen next for Zhyra.
"Wastin My Time"
What will happen for Tina as she ignored red flags when it came to Richard? What was the mystery that Richard kept secret? However, it seems like the more Tina found out about Richard, it looks like it was all 'lies, deceits, secrets, and bitterness.' Will Richard change his ways? Well, you will have to pick up 'Wastin My Time' to see if Tina was wasting her time.
