"Sweet Delights" by Cecelia Dowdy
My Speculation:
"Sweet Delights" comes together rather sweetly with the two main characters Patty-Lynn and Sam Richardson. It looked like things were against them being together for a while, but as fate will have it, something changed. It was hard for me to believe that Sam let his parents control him, and it was good to see him finally growing up with the help of now being a Christian to see what he needed to do was right in front of him. Well, it had been seven years, and now Sam was working in the town that Payy-Lynn lived in. Patty-Lynn had her own bakery, and life for her at this time was going well.
Finding Patty-Lynn again was definitely Sam's good hope for both of them. With Sam being a widower and Patty still single, what was there to stop them now, especially that they were now both Christians. Oh, yes, this was an interracial couple that had been part of the problem they had when it came to boyfriend and marriage that Sam's parents/grandmother did not like. How will all of this come together as Sam and Patty-Lynn are found to be together due to her bakery and church? Well, it seems like after talking, these two seem to be on the right path, but why did Patty-Lynn so hesitating? It all comes to after being hurt, one may want to slow down and make sure all the questions are answered, and the t's are all crossed. To get all of the questions answered and much more, you will have to pick up the delightful read to see how well this author brings it out so well.
