"Taken" by Kelli Maine was the first in a series of 'Give and Take' "that will grab you with her writing style which was a little different for me. "Taken" is written in the second person from the character, Rachael’s point of view and you really had to keep this in mind in the read. "Taken" was a read and good plot, with well developed complex characters that kept me turning the pages. Let me say that this novel is a adult read that contains mature content and sexually explicit scenes so, please be aware of that. Now, what is this novel all about? OK, I will only say it is about an abduction. Now, to get more about this abduction you will have to pick up this read "Taken" to see what, how, why and who of it all. Be ready for a great setting as well as back story along with a its history, you have come to the right place and I would recommend this read to you.

"Safe In His Arms" by Colleen Coble good read filled with: Christian, historical, western, adventure, mystery and a thriller read that was a second in this series.
This was a novel that once you start reading it will be hard to put it down until the very end because there will be in a lots of thrills  in this read. We find that Margaret works hard at her father's wealthy ranch but finding out that Daniel has been hired along with her cousin, Lewis  to run the ranch  doesn't make Margaret too happy.  Margaret’s father Paddy decides it is time that she act more like a woman and find a suitable mate so he can have grandchildren.
Margaret thought that she would get the ranch, but it seems like her fathers has something else in mind. "Along with all of the changes someone is trying to kill her father and snooping around the ranch"  This is where this story picks up and I say you must pick up "Safe in His Arms" to find out what happens next in this well written read.  Be ready for a Christian fiction that isn't too peachy along with a good, clean, some old fashioned 'old west' mystery and some romance.  With all of this you will be given a wonderful read that I would recommend to you.

"Keeping Secrets in Seattle" by Brooke Moss was a wonderful romantic story. This author did  good at making the reader feel all of the conflict that was involved along with the desperation and then love.  I enjoyed the diary that started every chapter and some of the laughter was good and well needed.  We find this story is of Violet who is about to confess her love to her best friend, Gabe only to find out he is now engaged to another girl and she has  even agreed to be Gabe's best man.  Will she be able to move on after she meets a new guy (Landon) that has entered her life and tell her that he loves her?  From "Violets tattoos,  hair color and vintage clothing is a secret that she has kept to herself for ten years. "What was it that these two ...Violet  and Gabe could  not talk about what had happened 'That Night?'  Now, to get all of this you must pick up "Keeping Secrets in Seattle" to find out what happened.  I liked the way the story was told from Violet's point of view which gave the reader the emotional ride that she went through from the past to the present.  The characters were all very deeply well developed giving the reader not only a  very interesting but a entertaining read that was a good story about the childhood sweethearts that fall in love.

I loved these two quotes from the read:

"Real love takes work and effort and time. Real love is willing to wait while you sort your shit out, and is still there once you get your head in straight."
and
"I put my cup down and stared at my mom. I was getting love advice from Fourth Marriage Barbie now?  What's next?"

"Keeping Secrets in Seattle" was truly a wonderful well written novel that was funny, sweet but also a emotional read.  Would I recommend this novel?  YES!

Only asking myself is this for real?  Now, this was really over the top for me and I have read some reads in my lifetime but this one over did it for me.  Now, these authors do know how to write.. I will give them that much but this OMG was way over the charts for me to handle or like at all.  No, I have never read the original Jane Eyre and after this read I doubt I will attempt it either.  Now, I have read erotica novels before but still this one tops it all.  I found the erotic twist if that is what you call it ...where did it fall  into the story?  Well, all I can say is this one wasn't for me.  I found this version simple over the top ...NOT!  So, here are my thoughts on this novel...It wasn't for me but for those who swing out there maybe you can get with it... but not for my liking to recommend  this tale to you.

Mr. Krieg and No One "create a exhibit with Mr. McPherson as the very excited audience of one. "Balancing Act" by Fern Michaels was a bonus in that you got two books in one.
'All She Can Be and Free Spirits' however this was actually a report of two novels that this author had written years ago and I had already read them but
I read them again.

In 'All She Can Be'
We find Rita is divorced  and a successful author trying to rebuild her life.  How will her life change for her after a recent divorce.  Will the romance writer be able to pick herself up and find a new love and then there were her children
who didn't consider her writing as a job, wanting her to babysit while they went on a 4-5 day trip.   Was she loosing herself in all of this?  You will find this novella was a 'heartwarming' story and well written by this author.

The next novella was 'Free Spirit'
A very successful Dory makes a discussion  to quit her job, move  to another city with her boyfriend (Griff) and go back to school.  Was this a smart thing to do?  Will she be strong enough to not lose herself in all of this that has been put on her? Will she come to her senses and know that this isn't the life for her?
There is definitely a lesson in both of these novellas for the reader.  Are you receiving it?

This is where I say you must pick up "Balancing Act" to see which way this author will take the reader on this ride.   In both reads you will be able to see how this author was able to use this 'Balancing Act' as it was a emotional ride that this author can only give its readers and I would recommend these two stories as a good read.

Will she be able to stop  blaming everyone for all of her problems and see that she is the only person that can truly save 'Polly,'  and even  developed more as the artist and save her marriage? This is the time that I say you must pick up the good read to see how this author was able to bring it all out to the reader.

Review:

"Catch A Falling Star" by Beth K. Vogt was a very sweet contemporary Christian romantic story that I could not put down until the end.  I loved the way this author brought in adoption.  This was indeed a well thought out script.  This "author did a great job showing that it wouldn't be easy and that rejection is part of the deal as the child heals over time."  This was very well done.  For the main part of this story we find Dr. Kendall Hayes who is  36 and unmarried.  It seemed like all of her friend...Melissa, Sonia, and Rachel...all doctors were married but not Kendal...even her kid sister was getting engaged.  Kendal was having a evening out with her friends and notices a young man who starts having a allergic reaction and she fines herself quickly responding.  Now, this is where the story gets interesting and I will say you must pick up this read to see what happens next when Kendall  learns that Griffin  and Ian Walker are brothers who recently lost their parents.  Kendall and Griffin will get off to a rock start but keep reading to see if this will lead to a road to romance for these two.  In the end we will find out that life doesn't always go according to our plans.  The characters were all well developed, 'vibrant, spunky, complex' and so real. Be ready for many conflicts that will only cause you to  keep reading.  Would I recommend "Catch A Falling Star?"  YES!

Review:

"Catholic Guilt and The Joy of Hating Men" by Regan Wolfrom was a read of
nine short stories of different women with a 'wide range of emotions: from  joy, laughter, terror, chills down my spine, wanting to give some characters high-fives, and then wanting to smack one of these characters over the head.' I think that says it all. Most all of these stories feature some kind of paranormal, fantasy and supernatural world presence with a mix of humor. This is a collection of different situations that they have faced and how thy totally dealt with it in their own way.   For the most part the stores were engaging especially if you are a horror fan.  I will say this book isn't for everyone especially if you are easily offended or don't appreciate a darker humor and themes...this book would not be for you.  Now, if you are into dark humor and funny dark themes then this read would be for  you.
