Review:

'Eleanor & Park" by Jamie Reed was a good read that was set from Omaha in 1986.  This was a sweet first love story of Park who was half Korean, with green eye with his "skin the color of sunshine through honey" and into alternative music and comic books ant Eleanor who was the new girl 'big, awkward and
poor' the oldest of five kids with a painfully difficult home life, along with her "red crazy hair with a weird necklaces handing around her neck and scarves wrapped around her wrists." These two meet and began sitting by each other on the school bus.  After some time they will share Park's comic books.  As time goes on they fall in love over the objection of their parents.  This is where I will say you must pick up the novel get a well written story.  Be ready for twist that will keep you turning the pages to see just what will be happening next. The characters were very strong and developed so well though the read. I like this author's style of writing...the music and comic books were simply off the chart good.  In the end will there be a happy ending?  You will find this read 'short, charming , witty, entertaining, emotional' and just a down right good read that I would definitely recommend to you.
