And Then Forever By: Shirley Jump
Book Description....
Welcome to Fortune’s Island, where the only rule is to follow your heart.
Love is an extravagance Darcy Williams can’t afford. She prefers the simple life, which includes waitressing at The Love Shack on Fortune’s Island and avoiding temptation. But when a forbidden part of her past steps off the ferry, her safe, guarded existence is turned upside down.
Kincaid Foster has never gotten over his first love. When he sees the wild, beautiful blonde again, dancing her way around The Love Shack, the memories of Darcy’s soft skin, gentle touch, and heated kisses come rushing back. As the privileged son of a wealthy family, Kincaid was too young to stand up to his overbearing father when he and Darcy were together. Now, he’s back on the island—free of the family shackles—and the chiseled, big-time lawyer wants a second chance.
But, Darcy made a promise to keep a secret from Kincaid—a secret that is now a six-year-old girl who looks just like her daddy. If Kincaid finds out about their daughter, Darcy could lose everything. But, she can’t resist the man who stole her heart all those years ago. And it doesn’t take long before both of them realize that anything can happen at The Love Shack on a hot summer night.

"And Then Forever" by Shirley Jump
What I liked about this novel...
It was a wonderful love story of second chance romance in a small town island setting [Fortune's Island]...
What I liked about the lead characters...
Darcy Williams-a wonderful heroine-story where she had to pick herself up and take care of herself,,, not being able to depend on her parents..however, wishing she mattered to find a place in the world and in the end making it through this adversity, secrets ..in her life [being the girl from the wrong side of the tracks] but in the end having much faith and determination to be able to achieve what she wants. Now what was that?
Kincaid Forster-hero-6 ft 2"-privileged ...enters into Darcy's life...but leaves... good lawyer and brother who later returns to the island to help with his sisters situation .... while dealing with 'severe emotional reactions, family issues and conclusions' as the story is brought out so well to the reader. I did have a few problems with this character as he seemed to totally support is sister but with Darcy...I wasn't sure Kincaid was there for Darcy in the beginning as he should have been....why does he seems to accept whatever someone tells him with out asking the right questions to the right person?.....but oh well you will have to pick up this well written story to read and see how it all comes out in the end because there will be some twist and turns in this journey.
Secondary characters: From... Whit & Grace Matheson, Jillian, Carter, Joey, Nona, Emma, Zach, Edgar Foster, Abby, Mooch [dog] to Gordon to name a few that really gives the reader a wonderful, dramatic, with some humor and even a suspenseful romantic read.
Questions asked and will be answered from the read....
What will happen as Darcy and Kincaid come together? As all of the secrets come out...will these
two main characters be able to see the errors they both have made?
What didn't I like about this read?
I discussed this early under Kincaid Forster...
and
It would have been great to have a epilogue added but since there will a next story that deals with Julian's and Zach's story maybe we will find out a little more of what all happens in the end with Darcy, Kincaid and Emma. I guess I would have liked to have had a wedding for those two!
What was one of my favorite scene in this novel?
"Remember how you asked me a question about your daddy? Darcy said to Emma.
Emma nodded. She hugged her knees to her chest. "It's 'cause there's a daddy daughter picnic
at my school on Friday. And Kayleigh has her daddy coming and Michelle has her daddy
coming and I wanted to have a daddy come too."
"Well, I think that can happen." Darcy glanced at Kincaid, then reached over and took his hand.
The two of them took a deep breath at the same time. "Mr. Foster is my very special friend because...." Darcy's gaze went to Kincaid. She gave him a smile, then turned back to their daughter,
"because he's your daddy."
Would I recommend this contemporary romance to other fans?
Yes! I will also be looking for Book Two in this Fortune's Island Series: Can't Get Over You featuring Jillian and Zach. Thank you to the author for a good read.

"Perfection Sisters -in-Love Book 1" by J. L. Campbell
What I liked about this novel.....
"Perfection" was a very interesting New Adult read about Tasha and Karim. This was definitely not perfect in that all was good but rather a lots of things in both of these characters life would have to be faced hard on. Now how will this story come out when Tasha finds the one she loves may not fit in that certain picture of 'perfection' that she seemed to hold so high. What will she do? The author gives the reader a good read with her style of writing, with well developed, defined, well portrayed and believable characters along with cultural references [in the Caribbean] in such a intriguing storyline that will keep your attention. I loved how this author was able to bring the reader a wonderful love story, with friendship and the family scenarios. I hope in the future series of {Sisters-in-Love} we find out even more about these two main characters Natasha and Karim. I will say that after reading book one I look forward to book 2 which will be about Kelleigh and Joshua.
Great job to the author!

What I liked about this novel.....
This was a one of this author's wonderful Travis romantic love stories featuring Avery and Joe.
'Brown-Eyed Girl' was well written story that will keep you turning the pages to see what this author will bring to the reader. I loved how this author brings these two together with the heroine being somewhat reluctant due to the fact that had happened to her with her ex fiancee. I love how this sexy alpha hero will go after what he wants which was winning Avery's heart. Be prepared for some steamy scenes that this author presented so very well. Now as this story is coming about get ready for another parts of this story that will add some real interest...where you will have to pickup this good read to see for yourself how it will come out. Add the secondary characters cast and you will find yourself even laughing at a lots of what will go on in this intriguing romantic story. It was also interesting seeing the development the relationship of Avery's half sister, Sofia who also will find love in this story. This is a series number four of the 'Travis Family,' however, this can be read as a standalone read.

What I liked about the this novel....
This journey for Ernest Quansah was quite a interesting read of one who had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with high levels of blood glucose. As a natter if fact "there was so much sugar in his body that it had begun to exit from his tongue, as well as from the corners of his eyes as a sticky substance each morning." Wow! Mr. Quansah doctor's let him know that he wasn't far from a cardiac arrest. What was remarkable about this true story was that "Ernest discovered with the help of doctors and through his own research, a safe and healthy way to reverse and permanently cure his type 2 diabetes." I found this read is very captivating and informative in that I wasn't able to put this read down until I had finished this read for it isn't a long read just being around 104 pages. This author will go into great details with his own story of how and why, as he will also answers many important questions of the process he went through in order to achieve the results he got.
As one reads from this authors' novel "The Journey: "How I Cheated Death and Cured My Diabetes in 21 Day"...you will find that Ernest Quansah is now "a type 2 diabetes survivor, self-cure expert and consultant, as well as an educator who teachers other how to self-cure their type 2 diabetes." You will have to pick up this read and see for yourself how this author, Ernest Quansah brings it all out as he has reversed type 2 diabetes for himself.
Would I recommend this novel?...YES, for all who are interested in not just managing diabetes 2 but learning that one can actually have type 2 diabetes reversed.
Thank you to the author for such a excellent novel that I a sure will help many out there with type 2 diabetes to know that it can be reversed!

What I liked about the novel...
"The Forbidden Man" the first in this series...'Edge of Scandal # 1' was a very interesting novel....so true to its title. I felt so sorry for Syd [Sydney]. How often will she be able to hang on to the situation that Caden [Den] seen to put her through with his cheating way? When a person gets fed up with this something is bound to happen. For Syd...she calls it off with her fiancee and is trying to move on with her life, but Den is having none of it. This is where this story gets even more intensed...where we find Caden seems to stop at nothing to win Syd back....however, there seems to be a interest growing with Den's brother Morgan who has always been best friends with Syd. Now what do we have now...a 'love triangle? I will say that in this read many times Syd got on my nerves with how she dealt with her life situation when it came to Den, but as the story continues we do see some changes as we see the story where this friendship between Syd and Morgan turns into something much more. Now, we have such a dangerous situation brewing due to the fact that Den doesn't seem to want to take the word no from Syd. What will happen as Syd and Morgan try to hid there feelings from their friends and family? However, it seems to me that if Syd had put her foot down earlier ...but anyway...this is where I say you must pick up the novel to see how this author will bring it all out to the reader. Be ready for an interesting read with so many twist and turns from denial, accidents, hot sexy sex, and more that will keep your attention turning the pages to see what is coming next. The main characters as well as the secondary ones were all developed, defined, well portrayed and oh so well believable giving the reader a true forbidden romance read only leaving in the end the answer will Sydney finally get the happiness she so deserves?

Eliza was living in a small mid western town, a chemist when rumors are spreaded about her reputation from her ex boyfriend..Tyler[broadcasting her fantasies and secrets desires] and definitely a prick. Then Eliza meets Chandler who was a divorced ..meeting by bumping into each other at the airport and then finding themselves at the same wedding in Hawaii. From here this story really picks up when these two meet and explore the fun with their chemistry being off the chart. But why will Eliza keep feeling like she was 'damaged' when all she wants is happiness. I liked how this author tells this story from both Eliza's and Chandler's POV. Be ready for plenty of drama as well as twist and turns, and even some other issues to be maybe divulged that will keep you turning the pages in this read. Will these two people go their separate ways or will they get their HEA? And what was this secret Eliza was holding on to through most of the story? I did also enjoy that Chandler was ....well I don't want to spoil it for you...so you must pick up this well written story to find out.
The author really gives the reader some interesting characters, however, there were some some secondary characters that I wasn't to sure about seeming a little off a little ..like Gregory, Sabrina and Stacey but you will just have to pick up this read to see for yourself what you may think of them.. In the end this author will give you one a story that will be the an example of a women's sexual liberation in an adult relationship that will be a held up due to 'respect, understanding and open communication' giving Eliza the self confidence to believe she had value. I did notice that this author left the reader wondering just what would 'Sex # 2 be about? In that this wasn't a cliffhanger I guess I will be left to wonder!

What I liked about this novel....
I really like how this author was able to give the reader such a good story of healing as it was for Ali especially after she left for Napa after the death of her mother and untimely death of her finance Andrew, who had committed suicide in Arizona. Truly life for Ali had been 'turned upside down.' Now she was in Napa looking after her father due to falling and injuring his arm who now lived in a retirement community. Would she be able to find some peace after all of her painful memories that had haunted her from Arizona? It was in Napa where Ali opens up to new friendships and trying to decide what would be best for her life now that she is alone and feeling very angry. What will happen after Ali meets a cantankerous old women named Edie who lad lost her husband in W W II? I liked how this author was able was able to let one see that there are some many pains and losses in our world. This history was indeed interesting! From meeting Edie why would a journey to Berlin give Ali answers about not only Edie but herself also? Who would have known that both of these women had endured tremendous emotional pain. In the end would there be a way for Ali to heal and yet not forget? I liked how this author was able to show through another person story how Ali will be able to find the courage she needed to want to live again. I found the characters were beautiful written being so well developed, defined, some humor and so believable giving this story such a heart wrenching detailed story that I wasn't able to put down until the end...often finding myself tearing up at parts of the read. Be ready for a good story of personal growth and self discover....also there is a backstory from a Edie's diary...but I don't want to spoil it for you...only to say you will have to pick up the good read to see for yourself what that is about.
"It's You" was a well written story by this author that told two stories of two women of different generations that showed raw powerful emotions. For Ali.... love and loss, recovered from heart break and healing to being able to pick up the broken pieces of the heart and the strength to make some new choices and hope again. I will go farther in saying that this is one novel that will stay with you long after you have read it.
"In the wake of a tragedy that tore her life down to the foundations, Dr. Alison McAdams has lost her way. So when she’s summoned to Napa to care for her ailing father, she’s not sure she has anything to offer him—or anyone else.
What Ali finds in Northern California wine country is a gift—an opportunity to rest, and distance from her painful memories. Most unexpectedly, she finds people who aren’t afraid of her grief or desperate for her to hurry up and move on.
As Ali becomes part of her father’s community, makes new friends of her own, and hears the stories of a generation who survived the Second World War, she begins to find hope again. In a quest to discover the truth about another woman’s lost love, she sets off on a journey across oceans and deep into history. And in making sense of that long-ago tragedy, Ali is able to put together the broken pieces of her heart and make new choices that are right for her."

What I liked about this novel....
I really like how this author was able to give the reader such a good story of healing as it was for Ali especially after she left for Napa after the death of her mother and untimely death of her finance Andrew, who had committed suicide in Arizona. What I liked about this novel...
"Desperate Measures" by Sandra Orchard was this author's 'Port Aster Secrets #3' and ...I love this suspenseful mystery read that kept my interest from the beginning to the very end. I will say to probably better understand some of what went on in this series it would be a good idea to read the first two novels [Deadly Devotion and on to Blind Trust]. But since I didn't I will say that the mystery of it all starts from the very beginning as your attention will be grabbed quickly as this 'series centers around a mysterious plant[miracle plant] that supposedly has miraculous properties.' As the story goes on we find Kate's father was involved in this the plant situation and from here this author will bring to the reader a good mystery read that will unravel the rest of this series to the reader.
This was quite a interesting read about Detective Tom Parker and Kate Adams, who was a herbal research scientist. I loved how this author was able to give the reader a mystery with a lots of conspiracy that was non stopped action in this trilogy. The author's writing will have you guessing you know the answer but later finding out you didn't have that clue with all of the twist and turns that will be presented to the reader. You will be wondering...[Who are the good guy and the bad ones?] The lead heroine Kate really knew her job which I found her research work was very fascinating to read about and then their was the detective Tom. We find the detective is trying to solve this mystery too that surrounds Kate which will give us quite an interesting read. I don't know but to me there seemed to be something missing from these two[Tom & Kate]..sometimes I thought these two were clueless...but in the end maybe they really deserved each other in all of there tense romantic moments where you will be left wondering will these two ever learn that they really care for each other?
Be ready for a read of suspense, mystery, action and even some humor. There will be some well developed, defined, well portrayed and believable characters that will keep the details[secrets]that will be brought out to the reader with a very riveting conclusion for the reader. Now, this is where I say I don't want to say any more other than you must pick up this read "Desperate Measures" to see how it will all come out. I found it was one good read.
Needless to say once I started reading I was not able to put down with a plot that moves so very smoothly...with intriguing scenes and all of my questions were all answered in the end from this well written novel.

Everything I Left Unsaid By M. O'Keefe
Book Description...
"Perfect for fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde, readers will be unable to resist this haunting, deeply intimate tale of a woman’s journey to freedom and love.
I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.
And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.
His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both."

The author gives the reader a very intensed read with showing us what it was to be with and having to run from a horrible abusive husband....cutting and coloring her hair, throwing away her cell and to even camping out in tuck stop to finally making it to a safe place... a trailer park. Only it was in the trailer park Annie hears a phone ringing...and to my surprise..she answers it...and it was someone named Dylan on the line. As this story will continue the reader will get an very good a romantic suspenseful story that is full of action that will keep you turning the pages as find Annie on the run. The author did a wonderful job bring out how complexed, tough and a survivor that Annie was as she gets to know a little about Dylan. One thing for sure as you read "Everything I Left Unsaid" that Dylan was definitely like Annie...mysterious with some dark secrets and twists. What will happen as the phone calls become frequent for these two and becomes a steamy? Will this be a 'sexual awakening for Annie who was very inexperienced with the phone calls from Dylan? Will there be some kind of connection that will be hard for either of these two to understand? You will find some very interesting mysterious characters ... as neighbors will be connected in some way or another in this story that I will only say you will have to pick up the interesting read to see how well it all will comes out. Only when you get to that ending for some important answers ....you will be stop because there will be a cliffhanger part 2 that the reader will have to wait to get the rest of the amazing story!

What I liked about this novel.....
Now, this was an excellent novel. I would very much recommend you read this authors first two books..1 and 2 before attacking this read. Now in saying that... I will know say again this book 3: Oxymoron...was quite some read. This author brings it all together for the reader in this trilogy "The Man Who Loved Too Much" and answering the one important question... did twenty six year old Billy Green love too much? One thing for sure I did understand Billy's love for his mom and his girlfriend Candy. The reader will find from the read...dear Billy has gone through a lot....now we find in this book 3 he is still trying to survive which seems to be so hard for him to do. Not knowing what he wants from him life Billy seems to be drifting day by day in a state of confusion. Where will this leave him? I liked how this author was able to bring out with his relationships with various people and or .... Billy's mom, Candy, Amethyst, Natalie & Pam, Apooalypso, Mr. Marty Dykstra,
$ 2,227,861,...Who and What was Billy Green?...man or [Woman], Sabrina, Samantha, [Dr. Bender, Dr. Hegel], who was ... Cream Cheese and Dr. Freundlich to name a few. All of these characters plus a few others will add some great interest to this read that will keep you turning to pages for more of what all Billy is going through in his state of confusion. Will Billy be able to come to some kind of conclusion in the end? Well, I don't want to give too much of this good story away other than say you will have to pick up this read and see for yourself how well this author brings it all out for Billy...the "man who loves too much....can't love too much." I loved that Epilogue...where it brings this series...book 1, 2 & 3 together so well. Thank you to the author...it was a excellent read!

Now Elle has a opened up a business and is doing OK with he son...meets George and will a friendship will come from it? We find that Elle has been hurt too many times in her life by that ex... so will she be able to trust George? I really liked how this author brings on this situation...with George slowing down a bit with Elle as she was able to meet his family and friends who had assistanced her several times as it was needed in her cafe/book store. I will say at this point this author really has some wonderful secondary characters who were well developed, defined, well portrayed and believe characters that will keep you turn the pages in this series ...and a couple I did not like [Ex boyfriend and his Mom]. As the story goes on we find that Elle will find her past has not been left behind...for her in law and ex boyfriend will come back into the picture. How will Elle be able to face this situation? What I liked about this novel.....
I enjoyed this novel was a personal story of Liz Kroft who was a 29 year old engineer, widow and one who had a rather hard past. Now she wondered would she be capable of ever having a 'happy life.' This author really presents the reader with a interesting story as Liz takes a 18 day backpacking journey on the 'John Muir' trail in the western part of the US. Would Liz be able to find the 'truer life' that she needed since she was carrying some well kept secrets over past actions? From the read the reader will be given a character study of Liz that turns out to be quite a adventure, thriller and even a love story. I found this story will be filled with a lots of flashbacks that really helps the reader understand a lots about Liz who was strong, liked and very independent. The story will also be about Dante[Liz's boyfriend] who goes with Liz on a great portion of the journey as they will run into some rather perilous suspenseful situations. I found this story a really compelling read that kept my interest and I found it hard to put down until the very end. Wow, what research this author had to do to give the reader such an intriguing story that really brought out such descriptions of the wilderness journey. I was able to learn a lots...about backpacking, tent building and even hiking. I don't want to leave out the secondary characters because they were definitely interesting in what they brought into this good novel In the end....well I won't say any more other than to say you will have to pick up this well written novel to she how well this author brings it all out to the reader of the 'complex dynamics' between these two...Liz and Dante.Be reader for a story of not only adventure but of self discovery, redemption, forgiveness and love. It will be a good standalone read.

Her emotional baggage weighs her down more than her backpack, but a three-week trek promises the solitude she craves—at least until her boyfriend, Dante, decides to tag along. His broad moral streak makes the prospect of confessing her sins more difficult, but as much as she fears his judgment, she fears losing him more. Maybe.
They set off together alone under blue skies, but it’s not long before storms threaten and two strange brothers appear along the trail. Amid the jagged, towering peaks, Liz must decide whether to admit her mistakes and confront her fears, or face the trail, the brothers and her future alone.

Book Description....
"Seattle architect Adam Sullivan is well known for his brilliant historic building restorations—and for having absolutely no interest in love and marriage. He’s happy for his siblings and cousins who have found true love, but though they’re clearly hellbent on seeing him settled, his family is just going to have to accept that Cupid’s arrow will be skipping this Sullivan. That is, until he meets Kerry Dromoland…and suddenly Adam starts to question everything he once believed to be true about falling in love.
As one of the top wedding planners in Seattle, Kerry has been waiting her whole life to find her own true love. So even though Adam makes her heart race and her body heat up every time they’re together, she knows better than to think he could be “the one.” Still, knowing he’s Seattle’s biggest player doesn’t make it any easier to resist his breathtaking kisses and wicked caresses…or the fact that he makes her smile more than any man ever has.
But when Kerry desperately needs Adam’s help—and he comes through for her without the slightest hesitation—she begins to realize that there just might be more to the man she can’t resist than she’d previously thought. What I loved about this read.....
This was a beautifully told fun loving story of matchmaking of Kerry and Adam who fell in love. We find Kerry was a Wedding Planner and Adam was an Architect and true Seattle Sullivan. I loved how this author brought them together in such a interesting way and who knew that from one meeting with the two of them would cause them to have such feelings for each other that would turn into something so beautiful. With Kerry and Adam having different feelings on marriage and love it, one looking for 'true love' and the other who doesn't do long term .... they enter into this hot wild sex fling. What will happen with 'Their Arrangement' as these two get even closer to each other? Will this one night/week at a hotel for sex turn into something that neither one will want to stop until Kerry's family history will get in the way of this relationship? What will happen when Adam lets Kerry know that he wants a full blown relationship with her? What will Kerry say and do now? I really worried somewhat about Kerry's feelings about her father, mother and even her sister to why this relationship will not work with Adam in this monotonous dialog that seemed to go on and on. Be ready for a read of lots of emotions from both of these two main characters. Well, this is where I will say you must pick up this good read to see how well this author will present it all out to the reader. This was very well done in the read. I loved how this author brings out the Sullivan men that do finally face the realities of life and know that they have been bitten by this thing call love as this author bring it all out to so well to the reader as one will see "The Sullivan men do not give up...they go after what they want."
I loved this well written amazing love story where all the characters were all so very interesting. Wow, what a family to be visited with the whole Sullivan family[brothers/sisters/cousins], to that certain moment [Kerry's decoration of her love for Adam] at Brook and Rae's rehearsal dinner and to even in the end getting a little more of what will be coming up next on this wonderful journey of the East Coast Sullivan's. Bring on Drake Sullivan story!

What I liked about this novel....
This was a beautiful told story of three very exceptional but different women who all had one thing in common...their friendships and secrets along with some scandal. The title really fits this story because as you read you will find out that each of these ladies had some rather different complexities that really made this such an interesting storyline. From Sloane who was the main character in this novel... whom you would think had the perfect marriage but did she? Then there is Hilary a friend of Sloane who again thought to have had a good life but did she? And last their is Sloane's friend Georgina who was quite a person being a college friend, but now there seems like things had changed between these two.
The reader will find from the read that each of these women have some troubles in their lives that will ...well, I will stop here and say you must pick up this good read to see how this author will lay it all out to the reader. It will be one interesting read that will keep your attention all the way to the end!
What will happen when these three women are alone for a three week long summer vacation in the New York Adirondack on Lake George? What secrets will come out as they unite in this friendship which seems to also go into their life's' with their own families. Be ready for a story of some real drama..... along with even a ex lover, more complications as one friend will feel left out, dilemmas, 'hidden agendas, strong personalities, tensions all giving the reader a wonderful story of the power of female friendships and in the end the road of healing.'
The author does a great job of bring out the realness of these women's...Sloane, Hilary and Georgina...their issues, fears, insecurities to their dreams. Bye the end of this story...none of these characters will be the same. Wow, what a good read this was for me as from the young to all where each one will be able relate to this unique story.
What I especially liked from the novel...
At the end of the novel I liked the question and answer section that this author included at the end of her novel. Very well done to the author.

What I liked about this novel....
This was another one of this author's great novels that I did enjoy reading. It was so interesting to know that Lucy's mum who was suffering from a long term illness wanted her daughter... something special for her daughter. So, we find Lucy on an adventure for a year...ending up in Ashford, Connecticut where her life would be changed forever. Why was that? Lucky was there to live her life to the fullest for one year not worrying of her sick mum. It was there in Ashford that she meets some wonderful people....even that moody Clay who she persuaded to give her a job as a 'farmers assistant' on the Maple syrup farm in which he had inherited. I loved how this author was able to bring the readers back to Ashford, Connecticut which was the home of the famous 'Gingerbread Cafe' that if you are a reader of this author novels you will know all about that cafe... meeting up with many old friends..like CeeCee, and Lil to name a few.
Yes, "Secrets at Maple Syrup Farm' is of many secrets that will be dealt with in this read, however, . I was happy to say I was able to guess a few of them early in this well written read. The storyline will keep you turning the pages till the end because you will not want to miss anything. The heroine in the read really loves her mum and wanted to obey her but for me I found it so hard to do what Lucy had done...and that was obeying her mum wishes. The hero, Clay...well I was able to catch what may have been his secret from what this author presented this story... still it was a good read in how this author presented it all to the reader. I don't want to give too much away other than to say pick up "Secrets of Maple Syrup Farm" and see how well this story is brought out. Questions will be answered...Will Lucy decide on the trip to Paris...for a career as an artist or stay in Ashford? Will their be something for Lucky in Ashford besides wanting to be that artist?
What else I liked about this novel...
There was definitely a learning process of how maple syrup is made that this author covers so well in the read and I don't want to leave out all of those good baking descriptions that the ladies of the Gingerbread Cafe turned out as well in the foods you can use with maple syrup. I will say there were a few recipes that were new to me to what you could use maple syrup in!
I will say that it will be interesting to see what more may come of Lucy, Clay and her mum that only this author can do so very well especially in the small town of Ashford....what a great place to live.
Maple sugar kisses...
Lucy would do anything for her mom…but she never expected to end up promising to leave her. After her mom got sick, Lucy dropped everything to take care of her, working all hours in a greasy diner just to make ends meet and spending every spare moments she had by her mom’s hospital bedside. Now, Lucy is faced with a whole year of living by her own rules, starting by taking the first bus out of town to anywhere...

What I liked from this novel...
This story was about Julietta and Nico with them opening up a a new place...Two Blue Doors restaurant. There will be some problems with trying to find suppliers for the restaurant. Now, why was that? Along with this there seems to be some mysteries that will come up front and center as Juliette's mother will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is not doing well with her treatments and then there is a long distance romance. I felt the story started up a little slow but it does pick up and the reader will be presented a good read by this author that is told is first person narrative by Juliette. I wish I had read the first novel...'Table by the Window' first because I did have a little problem understanding some of the story and some of its characters. However, as I continued to read on I did find this read somewhat captivating that did keep my attention till the end. This was quite a interesting read where one could see this family pulling together, the inclusion of history of written old letters between Juliette's grandmother, Mirielle and her sister that dealt with love from WWII France. Be ready because the reader will also get some surprises, happiness, sadness, drama, humanity, hope, illness, family relationship issues, long distance love, traveling, suspense, mystery of family secrets, some new romance and even some heartbreak of a break up romance. Then what puts the icing on the cake of this novel .... the reader gets some very good recipes that you will be left wishing you could be there...tasting it all. I liked how this author was able to weave these unique recipes[especially those chocolate chip cookies] into the plot of this story...very well done. If you are interesting in recipes, food and cooking ... you will love this novel. Also I enjoyed the quotes that began each chapter that dealt with food or cooking. If you are interesting in Now, in saying all of that I will say it would be best to read the first series, then this one and then the reader will be more than ready for the conclusion of the 'Two Blue Doors'series..'A Table By The Window' to get the rest of this intriguing story by this author.

What I enjoyed from this novel.....
This was a good short story that this author gives the reader ...of a young girl that has been hurt more than one way...a friend's death[Heaven] and from then from her mother's boyfriend [Darnell]. I really enjoyed how this author was able to give the reader a complete story of how this teen, Jordan was put into certain situations and yes the question is will she be able to make it through the trials that had been set before her. I really liked how this author brings out the situations to issues that this young teen had to faced as well as so many others... showing that there is someone out there to help and listen to you even when it looks so very dark. Why did Jordan feel like she couldn't tell her secret to her Mom? I don't want to tell the story other than say you will have to pick up this novel to see for yourself how well it is written. You will not be disappointed with this good read of a teenager in trouble and needing help. Thank you to the author for another good 'Book 2' read.

That I liked about this novel....
When I think this author has done it... he still manages to do it again! This story was really one well written novel that the reader will find it hard to put down until the end. I loved the read...no cliffhangers here! I like how this author brought out this particular young man at fifteen who had been a disobedient son who hadn't wanted to listen to his parents....his Mom puts him out after her husband is killed ....leaving Hood to even more ...making many bad decisions...being with the wrong type of people, Then, Hood meets someone [Angel] who seemed to help bring a change in his life...even to showing his Mom and brother he had changed.I was really glad to see Hood taking care of his Mom and brother. However, would Hood still have to pay for the sins he had caused....? This was a good read as we see Hood growing from a boy to manhood. I found the characters all well developed, defined and believable giving the reader a good storyline. The ending was a shocker but I will say there had been a clue to this happening from that particular friend of Hood's. All I can say is this novel was a good read and I would say you will just have to pick it up to see for yourself how well this author wrote this story. The poems presented in this novel were downright beautiful...from 'The Hood Within'..... 'To Even Lose You to I'm So Tired.' To the author....Mr. Chronicles Thank you for a well written novel.

"Cold Case Love" by Ms. T. Nicole
What I liked about this novel....
What a awesome good book that really covers the issues of physical and mental abuse all dealing with domestic violence. This author really presents the readers a well written read that will have you on a emotional suspenseful ride with this heroine Tangy with so many secrets. The readers will be presented with a good storyline with some real interesting characters. "Cold Case Love" is definitely one of those novels that many people especially the girls will be able to relate to in so many ways. I loved how the story brought out that there is strength in the power of prayer...because truly this was why this person was able to come out of this situation. "Cold Case Love" is a well worth the read that I am sure will help many and I would definitely recommend.
