"His Melody" by Amarie Avant

My Thoughts...

This was a  well written good read that this author gives to the readers.  Thank God Melody had a Kiel in her life, however, will Kiel  be able to saved Melody from herself? The main questions is why did Melody act the way she did and what was behind all of this?  Melody was truly the love of Kiel's life and when it may have seemed that she did not care for herself  Kiel never lost hope that he would always be their for her...'the love of his life... His Melody' As the reader reads through this story one can see that poor Melody had problems that started in her early childhood that seemed so very unimportant to her mother. Now, why was this kept such a big secret?  Read this story and you will soon find out why Melody felt so damaged with much of her life! This definitely had me thinking what kind of mother is this person! As one reads this story closely one can see why Melody was feeling so broken and thinking of Kiel as.... "HE CAN DO BETTER?"  It seems like even though Melody had some good friends...it was Kiel, her husband who was their for her through the thick and thin of it all and not wanting to give up on her. It seems like her past that she had endured early in her life was still with her as a adult and causing all kinds of problems for this marriaged couple.  I liked how this author brought in all the help for Melody through the therapist, friends and oh yes there was Kiel...all who were right their with her all the way to the end never giving up on her.  I loved that ending.... for that was quite a surprise!   To me I thought this author did a excellent job it bringing out this story so well to the readers.  Yes, we had a broken person and with the help of God and I liked the scriptures that were presented, friends that remained with Melody [Angelique...Jelly, Erin & Josaline] through it all and then as always their was Kiel. The author gives the reader one rich emotional read that will give the reader much thought long after the read especially after finding out what all Melody had been through up to this point in her life.  I loved the read and the characters were off the chart...all well developed, defined and believable giving the reader a good read.

"Seducing The Darkness" by Shiela Stewart

My Thoughts....

"Seducing The Darkness" was a quite a interesting paranormal vampire read Jacob's Cove that did keep my attention to the very end. The story was about Trinity Ford, 19 who had been turned a vampire by Basil Hawthorne who was a vampire prince. The reason for Trinity doing this was because she was all alone after the death of her parents and sister and Basil was their for her.  With Trinity who worked on computers by day and at night she could be found prowling the street trying to keep the humans safe.  Both Trinity and Basil were quite a item until things started happening with Basil that seemed to change in his feelings toward Trinity by pushing her away after they had been together for six years.  What did Basil do  that was so stupid in order to try to accomplish this?  Did it work?  I don't want to tell too much about  the story but it had a lots to do with King Avadur [Basil's father] being  banished to the Realms of Darkness due to the fact that he had deserted the queen mother by locking her behind the Realms of Mystics. Now it seems like Basil is having 'dreams of Trinity's life being at risk'...[someone he loved] because he had banished his father [King Avadur]. So, Basil knew that if what all was going on in Jacob's Cove with his father and  his second in command, Chaos, in charge who wanted  King Avadur freed so that he may rule at his side....then the world was in danger of becoming dark and he had to try to do something to prevent that from happening. What all will Basil do in order to try to keep Chaos from getting his father freed?  How would he be able to protect Trinity whom he was so in love with ...other than trying to put a distance between them so Trinity would get harmed.  Did it work? What was going on with the humans in Jacob's Cove 2025 by the hands of the vampires that  put them in such danger?   What was Trinity into with an investigator [Dante] who was looking for  the missing girl and his brother? What will happen as Trinity and Basil work together to try to stop the plan to raise the king and stop the sun from being blotted out?  To get all of these questions answered and so much more you will have to pick up the good read to see how well this author presents this novel to the readers.

The story will move fast as the readers will find the characters all well developed, defined and portrayed giving one a well told story.  Look out for some real heavy sexy scenes.  However, all in all this was a good read that will definitely have you wanting the next series...Desiring the Darkness.

that was almost broken then seeing how this story gets turned around where there is also dealings with moving to Holmes Crossing, Alberta, two children, a dog. business issues, let's not leave out those family members with issues, to a few friends, religious issues and you get one good story.  This was quite a good read of one letting go of the past and moving on which can be hard as it was for Leslie.   Will she be able to do it with all she has before her? What will happen after Leslie gets a little knowledge of what faith is and trusting in God?  Thank you for such a enjoyable read of love and forgiveness.

My Thoughts...

Wow this was one read well no I didn't like what was happening to Faith.  This was quite one abusive
read that had me shaking my head and saying really...why are you staying!?  I found it so hard to read and understand her reasoning through writing letters and emails to her younger brother Darryl about her situation. Why couldn't she find someone to help her and get out!?  Will Faith find the 'courage, strength and love' she need in her life?

This writing style was quite a difference kind of read for me being presented in such a unique way.  I found it so intensed and emotional that you the reader will get caught up in all of its drama in the physical abuse that this heroine was in. Will she get out of this before it's too late?  I will stop here and just say you will have to pick this one up to see what happens to Faith Fay McKenzie at the hands of Cal McKenzie. When you think all is well.... it is not!  In the end will Faith 'find the courage and strength to survive, escape and heal from  this abuse?'  In the end will she find her HEA?  I will say that this novel's ending really got to me leaving me to think after all is said and done...was it enough?

What a life Leigh Blackburn had and it definitely was not a easy one!  Who would have thought that after she  had been called to serve on a jury that her eyes would be opened about her life..with her husband and even her mother.  But one thing that is for sure Leigh knew that she had to get it all together not only for herself but for her son Ben. This was not a happy read... definitely a tough one, however, there were a lots of lessons to be learned from this well written story that will leave you thinking about long after the read. What will happen when Leigh comes to believe it is time for a change?

Be ready for lots of drama and suspense as Leigh deals with being summoned for jury duty, her husband and mother.  What will happen as Leigh decides to take charge and move on with her life?
I did enjoy some of the witty humours time while she was on jury duty[in the courtroom], with her son and her neighbor and four dogs.  This was quite a interesting read of how this main character [Leigh] was able to 'deliberate her own life while deliberating the fate of an accused person.'  If you are looking for a poignant and touching story the reader will have one here..for "Deliberate" will bring it all to you in one relatable story.

I will say this novel has some very interesting characters especially the secondary ones [Nicki, Adam & Todd] that I found rather defined and well portrayed in this story line.  The hero and heroine both at times will work ones last nerve with all of their bantering back and forth.  This was definitely not one of those predictable stories because  there is so many twist and turns but one thing is for sure and that is their love making!  Will Samantha and Jacob have their HEA when it is all said and done?  Will they be able to get pass this 'invisible bond' that they seem to have for each other?  Well no matter what the odds or conflict that comes  to Samantha and Jacob it seems certain their loves seems to conquer all....or will it?  To get these answers and so much more you will have to pick up  'Samantha Posey Love Series Book 2' to get the rest of the story.

My Thoughts...

Who would have thought that when Miranda Sutton meets Keith Russo while making a documentary about him that they would in the end 'Saddle Up' in the end.  I loved how this author was able to give the reader such a intriguing romantic read that involved a 'half Native American horse whisper and wrangler and a film maker [until she decided to work with mustangs].  It seems like meeting Keith was the best thing that could have happened to Miranda as it was the start of her loving mustangs.  The characterization of not only Miranda and Keith but also Jo-Jo[Miranda's grandmother] was a internal part of this well written story...all being so well developed, defined and believable. As the story continues we will see what will happen as Miranda and Keith's romances will come about, then then go their separate ways only to come back into play after Miranda's grandmother Jo-Jo [Josephine Mirabelle Sutton] 'decides to reinvent her ranch for displaced mustangs' after Miranda shows an interest in wanting to stay there in Wyoming and help with  this venture. Will Miranda get the help she needs from Keith?   Why was Keith so against doing this for Miranda? Why did Keith seemed so lost? What had happened to him in his past that had caused this? I loved Keith's pet name for Miranda which was 'Aiwattsi' that was indeed so beautiful along with its meaning. The reader will see from the read that this author did some well done informational research of these wild horses that  simply giving the reader quite a interesting read that will keep your attentiveness to the end.  Will Miranda and Keith get what they want from each other in the end?  To get  the answers to these questions and many more the reader will have to pick up the wonderful series "Saddle Up' which is a standalone read and see how this story will all turn out. 'Saddle Up' is this author fourth in this series and was definitely one of my favorite series.  Would I recommend? Yes!

Reserve My Curves 3 By B. M. Hardin

Book Description....

"Envy was no longer a woman down on her luck. She'd gone from rags to riches in just a short period of time, but what she'd had to do for the money, hadn't always been easy and would never be forgotten. Although Envy's days of having her curves reserved are finally over, life didn't exactly get better as she'd planned. The worst of her problems have just begun. She quickly learns that broke people problems and rich people problems are two very different things, and Envy wasn't exactly prepared for the challenges that a life of luxury would bring.
After learning a truth that she wasn't quite ready to receive, Envy had some tough decisions to make. The price for living a life of comfort was costly, but going back to struggling, for Envy, just wasn't an option. It was a sticky situation and the wrong choice, at the wrong time, could turn Envy's world upside down. And that meant losing everything that she'd worked so hard to gain. A few secrets weren't all that bad and with more than enough secrets of her own, Envy decides to keep her friends close, but her enemies closer; and that included keeping Silas and Carmen around for just a little while longer.
Envy allows the good to outweigh the bad, and plans for the future. Along the way, she's convinced that Silas just might be her happily ever after after all, but fate seems to have a few plans for Envy of its own. Things start to crumble but she was already in too deep, and Envy just couldn't turn back now, unless she pushed a few people out of her way.
With lies coming from every direction, and with secrets being revealed around every corner, it becomes clear to Envy that if she wanted to get her life back... she was going to have to put up one hell of a fight. But she was in for a battle that she was destined to lose. Carmen and Silas weren't the only people that she had to keep her eyes on. They weren't the only people with something to hide. But Envy was determined to uncover the truth and someone was bound to pay the price for her troubles; even if she had to be the one to pull the trigger.
Finally Envy understood what people meant when they said that you have to be careful what you wished for, because you just might get it. The question is, just what do you do when you no longer wanted it? What do you do when the person that you chose... is you? Sometimes the only way out was death. Whether your own... or someone else's."

"Reserve My Curves 3" by B. M. Hardin

My Thoughts....

What a READ!  This was some series and this novel was over the top.  What the author gives to her
stories are simply off the top...well thought out and so well written.  Once you pick up her stories you will not be able to put it down until the end and this series was the ending to the 'Reserve My Curves.'
All of the characters were so well developed and well portrayed.  I will say this last series was absolutely so well told where there was nothing left out for the reader to wonder about.  I will say you will not be able to stop reading till the very end because there will be so much going on and the reader will not want to miss any of it.  You definitely will not be able to predict what will happen next because there will be so many twist and turns to the very end.  All I can say if you want a interesting urban series...'Reserve My Curves 1, 2, and 3 that will give you one interesting and  intriguing story with so much drama that I thought was simply off the chart ...a  good read.  Would I recommend?  YES, the entire series so you will understand all that has gone on.

"Meddling With Murder" by Elle Campbell

My Thoughts....

This author gives the reader a story dealing with Cathy O' Farrell and Pimple  as they are owners of the 'Crouch End Confidential Agency' that was at one time called 'Helping People Who Would Otherwise Commit Suicide.'  As the story opens what do we find? Cathy dangling from a tree trying to get 'Fliffy' a cat down? I will say I laughed at that one. We find from the story that Cathy and Pimple will be presented with:" multiple problems include stolen bikes, a possible murder weapon, the sabotage of her friends’ new shop, drug-dealing yobbos targeting her children’s primary school and being forced to pose as the world’s most inept maths tutor. Worse, best friend Rosa hires her to investigate fiancé Alec and – horrors – Cathy’s husband Declan is intent on moving himself, Cathy and kids to the safer climes of rural Norfolk. Suddenly Cathy is endangering her marriage, friendships and her life to untangle these messes."  Along with all of this I will say that the story has some very interesting characters that all well developed, defined and believable helping to keep your attention because they will be so much going on. From several customers with no money to pay their bills to finally one whose case starts out very strangely...supposedly having lost her dog called Dukey....however, when the truth comes out...it was her all about her son....oh well, leaving you wondering what in the world was that all about!  At least it seems that there would be some pay for working on this case.  As this story unfolds the reader will see how the author presents a well written story to the reader that is rather a good one.  I will say I liked Cathy's friendships with  her friends...Henrietta, Isobel, Rosa, Janet and Shilpa at their WOWs [Wednesday Once Weeklies] and believe me when I say that each one will have their own story.  Also I liked how the author brings in the read about 'drugs' in the story so much so wouldn't Cathy want to move where it may be a little more safer as her husband had suggusted even if it meant leaving her friends?  I will say this story keeps on moving and by the end you will get a well written story.  To really get it all you will have to pick up "Meddling With Murder" to see how well this author gives the reader  a little mystery along with some suspense dealing with stolen bikes, drugs, guns and a murder.  Would I recommend? Yes!
