"She gave him a chance to bury his past… but the price would be his heart..

Desperate to live her own life… Facing a future of drudgery caring for her aging mother and raising her brother’s children, Henrietta Houghton believes her chance at a real life died with Thomas, the only man who ever wanted her. But Henrietta is still full of dreams. When her wealthy aunt, offers her a gift of ten thousand pounds, Henrietta finally has the chance to choose her own destiny.
Everything has a price...With a fortune at her command, Henrietta offers Julian a marriage of convenience, unaware that she really offers Julian a means of salvation—not just his fortune, but his very soul."
The author really gives the reader a beautiful historic romantic read that will keep your attention
till the end. The read mainly focus with Henrietta Houghton and Julian Price giving one a well
developed, defined told story of two people who just needed to be loved in their own special way. What will happen when Julian is faced with what his uncle has done with his inheritance? What did his best friend Henrietta offer to help him in order to help him with his problem? Would these two people be able to 'navigate the world of marriage?' Now, I don't what to tell the story but want you to want to pick up this lovely story and see how well this author brings it all out to her readers.
