My Thoughts....
This novel that will keep one turning the pages due to so much going on from chapter to chapter as this author lets the reader know what or whom it's about. I found poor Evie just wanting and thinking that she had found someone [Lucas] that would take care of her with 'loyalty and love' but only to see after a while that wasn't the case. It seemed like Lucas was all about Lucas! Evie had friends [Raquel & Monique] but were they really the type of friends she needed in that all she ever wanted was happiness, however it did seem like their was one friend [Saige] that she indeed had in her corner at all times. Now when it came to Lucas was he being true to Evie? Beside Lucas trying to get a better grip on his business world what will happen as it seems that someone in his group is trying to cause havoc? Will Lucas be able to go into business with Jacob? What will happens as Evie is rescued by Jacob Sloane at the club? Also what was up with the women [Patrice & Tonia]in the read that seemed to want to be tied to men who told them straight up they were only interested in one thing? Will Evie be able to stop her feelings that seems to have started since meeting Jacob at the club and that kiss? I love how Jacob was described in this story ...from the quote....
"Jacob had very little body fat and all the necessary muscles to be considered irresistible. Every inch of his toned physique was spectacular. Oh, and make no mistake the treasure that he carried between his legs was not exception."
What did Jacob think of Evie after meeting her and then finding out she was Lucas's woman? This story will definitely keep you turning the pages as the readers sees the plot that has been set. By the end how will these two guys...Lucas and Jacob make it out of all of this mess as it seems to be quite a battle going on between the two. Then to find out that this problem wasn't only between the two but several others[Zamir] in the organization that were trying to get ...well, I will stop here and just say you will have to pick up "An Assassin's Heart" to see how well the author will present it to the readers and all of these questions and so much more will be answered. From the read there will be a lots of hating going on whether its from the best friends, their mothers, two women in love with the wrong men and how they were treated, to Lucas best friend turning, along with a lots of haters toward Jacob and even his father. When it was all said and done someone was going to be taken down out in a great amount of revenge. Who will be left standing? How will Evie take what all Jacob has to tell her about his 'Kreshnik' family? Will Evie be able to maybe understand a little of what her own mother was trying to tell her about not wanting to come to visit at their home with it being all caught up in what all Jacob was involved in? It will be one interesting ride to see there outcome. I did find some of the read a little predicable, however, it was still a good story giving the reader one heck of a good well plotted and written story.
