Review:

"Damaged and the Knight" by Bijou Hunter was the second in this series 'Damaged' and continues from 'Damaged and the Knight novel where Farah's sister is rescued and is now living in the same town.   Tawny, like her sister Farah  is suffering though her childhood from abuse (being damaged)  and meets the 'alpha biker knight' (Judd) who  rescued her. Again this is another  intensed read. We find Tawny was more of a survivor that made her way out of  the darkness and Judd was a 'hit man or enforcer' that got her out of it. Throughout the read there were parts that seemed unrealistic however, it still was a good read. I did find some of the romance scenes rather raw, now if you are not into that you may not like this read.  I did find that this author presented a good story with some good characters: Tawny, Judd, Farah, Cooper giving the reader a well written novel with a good ending.
From the first series we have Farah  and Tawny  whose parents had  abuse them and then sold by
their mother.  Farah goes to college leaving her sister, however, Cooper sends Judd for Tawny.
Getting her out of  that hell hole was right up there for Judd.  He would protect Tawny from
anything  and anyone to bring her to safety and now the  story continues on ...and this is where I
say you must pick up "Damaged and the  Knight" to see how things will turn out for Tawny.
Will Tawny and Judd learn to trust in their love for each other?  This series can be a stand along
read but I really think you will get more by reading the first series before reading this read.

If you like emotional rollercoaster reads where you will cry, laugh,  get angry and sad you
have come to the right place because this author will take you there and beyond on this read.
There will be  some heavy areas in the read but in the end  you are given a good love story that I would recommend to you.  Now, it's time for the next series...Damaged and the Outlaw.

"Damaged and the Beast" by Bijou Hunter was a interesting contemporary romance story that was somewhat predictable for me, however it was a story that was definitely unforgettable and so full of emotions.  I found this author's writing style so full of darkness a such a gritty story that will only leave you saying wow! This story was so full of dysfunctions that were simply off the chart.  We find poor Farrah with so much 'emotional hang-ups, so damaged  and Coopers  anger issues were really scary at times to read about.  However,  even with all that was going on there were some  humor from all the banter between Farrah and Cooper.  I did find the characters were really believable, well developed  and well portrayed helping to make this such a captivating  read that seems to come to life.  So, you may find yourself crying, laughing and smiling though parts of the read.  Now, I will say the read isn't for everyone.  This is were I say you much read this story for yourself and decide.  This author did a good job about presenting to the reader a good intensed read.  Be ready for 'angst, abuse and even some romance' in this well written story with a interesting ending that I would recommend to you as a good read.

"Heart of Texas: The Series by K.L. Hemley was a good well written romantic series in the 'Wild West' in Texas for Ms. Mabel Milton. After the death of her parents, Mabel was found running her ranch single handed owning 'one of the most successful ranches in the area.' Thing change somewhat for Mabel when she meets Jesse Lockwood and finds his 'constant jokes were tiring' but he did know
what he was taking about when it came to cattle. After meeting Jesse they both agree to drive her cattle to Kansas. While in Dodge City problems arrive for Jesse's men, however, they are able to make it back to the ranch. After arriving back on the ranch from the cattle drive as winter came on and it was one of the 'harshest winters on record.' Would Mabel be able to survive on her ranch in the harsh winter weather without the help of Jesse? Would Mabel and Jesse be able to 'co-operate together?' Well it seems like things were going well for Mabel until a new arrival neighbor by the name of Max Harper arrives in town. Now, what will Max bring into this picture? What will Mabel over hear from Max that will change her life as she thought it would have been? Now, who will get the girl? This is where I say you must pick up this read to get all of these questions answered and see how this author will bring it all out to the reader. I also like how this author was able to bring out the importance of the cattle drives during this time in history and the opening of the 'Guest or dude' ranches that allowed people to be able to "visit and experience the cowboy life for a short vacation without exposing themselves to the kind of dangers cattle farming could bring." This was all very interesting to me.

I also enjoyed the read that included 'The Series.' There are five books from the series: Life, Love and Longhorns, For Love or Not at All, Love Comes Later, To the Max and Lies and Laughter. If you are in for a sweet romantic read you have come to the right place for "The Heart of Texas: The Series would be recommended to you.

"Where The Wildflowers Grow" by Vera Jane Cook was a very good literary fiction read.  This
novel was one of those that captured your interest from the very first page only to keep you turning the pages until the last page.  This novel was about the Cassidy family in the 60's who were thought to be the 'perfect southern family' but were they? Be ready for a family that will be unravelled, with secrets and also a murder. Believe me  "Where The Wildflowers Grow" has

for some but I liked the way this author wrote it. Lastly, in the end I will say this was a most interesting novel where this family is off the chart...well I will let you decide that for yourself from the read. If you are looking for drama, drama and more drama, you have come to the right place, for "Where The Wildflowers Grow" will give it ALL to you and what a ending!

"When I fall In Love" by Emma Kylie was a sweet, cute, short, 'hot and steamy sweet' romance read.
This was a story of Luke Bradford who had lost the love of his life and had 'no interest in meeting any women' until he met Madison Howard.  For Luke his life was now worth living, even though Madison did have the weight of the world on her shoulders. It seemed like Madison mother and brother were in need of her help financially, and were constantly as for money, so she was
trying her best to get a better paying job so that she could help her family. What a sweet girl!
How will this all work out for Luke and Madison because after Luke saves her life from a almost  car
accident he realizes more than ever that he is in love with her. When Madison finally understand that
she is in love with Luke will she be willing to stay even after she is offered a job in another state?  To find out you will have to pick up "When I Fall In Love" to see how and if this will happen.  I liked the read but it was somewhat choppy in a few places but I was still  able to follow this author thought pattern from A to Z.  Guy meet girl....sparks fly...its 'hot and steamy' and in the end...well you will have to pick up the reading to find out the ending.  With this novel being the first in the author's series I am sure it will be a  more smoother read in her next series.

What all did we get from Michael's  journal?  I liked how this author was able to give the reader such a 'powerful heart breaking and courageous story' that was full of emotions.  It was interesting to see how well this story deals  with religion and racism in depth referrals to the scriptures and the Bible.

O felt "Deaf, Dumb, Blind and Stupid" will really open your eyes and bring healing to all of those who read it.  It really bothers me to think that a mother would let this happen to her son and then on to the father,  then to the vile uncle and ridicule from his peers only to leave me  to say 'OMG!  To get it all you must pick up the novel to see how well this author delivers this well written  story.  It will be one that you will not forget any time soon.

When I started reading this story I wasn't sure what I would get but I quickly started understanding just what this short story was dealing with. Wow is all I can say! We are presented a story of  'Heather Jones in search of herself.'   This author really brings it all out to the reader dealing with 'molestation, sexual abuse, church issues, mental health, self esteem' and I am sure I have left out a few more.  My heart
went out to Heather in this story having to deal with all of these issues.  Did she not make that conference an interesting one!  This was definitely a wow moment for me to think that this actually goes on in churches.  To think that these issues such as abuse  really happen in our day to day life for some many people is so very sad but there is help out there for you. I liked how this author offered reading at the end of the read ... 'discussion questions in reference to domestic violence and abuse and valuable resources for domestic abuse and violence.'

This author did a wonderful job with this well written story.  Hopefully, it will get in the right persons hand that really need this read. I hope I have said enough to want you to pick up "Pieces of Me: Finding Heather Jones"  that deals with abuse and how this person leaves you with the feeling in the end of 'conviction and remorse.'

"The Hit List" by Anne Brooke good contemporary read.  You will find that this novel of the main character is trying to 'understand his sexual identity and also dealing with family crisis.'  "The Hit List is a fast pace even though it is rather long.  We find Jamie Chadwick is living a home taking care of his 'ill father'  and also working from home. Things come to head when Jamie's friend from college announces he is gay.  What all will come of this?  Even though by the end of the book Jamie still  hasn't told his ill father about his issues. Has Jamie really come 'out? And then we have David changing his mind about being gay.  Wow, this was some read of change  or was it?  As I kept reading I saw  that Jamie lacked 'social skills, not particularly handsome, desperately wanted to marry someone...then he writes 'The Hit List' which was people he wanted to kill.   Now, why was this?   I really didn't see "The Hit List" as a true  romance.  I felt like this was more of the 'comedy of life.' Now what does this mean?  I got this from a quote: "The choices people make (or don’t make), the consequences thereof, and the inherent complications and confusions that come of relationships."
To me that says it all. To get your thoughts you must pick up this read and see for yourself.  It may start out somewhat slow but keep reading and you will see which way this author is leading the reader.

The characters were all pretty well drawn like Jamie, his father, David,  Robert,  the vicar and his daughter, the village fete, to  the nosy landlord, but all in all I found most of these characters were  a very interesting group of people.  This story gives off the presents of being so very 'true, heartbreaking and very sentimental.'  So, if you don't mind gay issues and above all 'The Hit List' then I would recommend this touching read for you.

I will say up front that these are not any short read.  Be ready to be well engaged for a while but in the end you have read a simply well written story.

Let me tell you a little about each one:

THE DAY THE FLOWERS DIED... by Rebecca May, a novel was
a  historical fiction with the setting in Germany during the 1930's and
we find two people who should have never been together.  due to their
passion and love for one another well...

"Her father siding with her mother weighed heavily on her mind and
that bothered her more than cutting off her inheritance, more than the
Nazi’s violence against Eli, more than anything else.  She would have
to adjust to a new life: one where secrets became a part of the
everyday,  where love hid, and the friends and family once relied on,
stood distant and unreachable. The life she grew up knowing ended,
when she closed that door."

but later...

The box was square and small, smaller than the box her father had
given to her when she received the keys to her new Audi. Lifting the
top off, she found a silver band with a diamond at its center.  Her blue
eyes widened and her rose lips opened in awe.
“Eli...” She said his
name with tender appreciation and approval.  He bent on one knee
and held the tiny ring in his manicured hands.
“Will you marry me?”
Eli’s words brought tears to Rebecca’s face, tears of euphoria.  She
grabbed his hand holding the ring, “Yes,” she kissed his hand and
pulled the ring to her, “yes.” Eli slipped it on her ring finger.
“We’re  officially engaged.

and this wonderful written story continues....

AND THEN THE MAGIC BEGAN by Tracy Johnson. a novel

After Suzanne losses her son she leaves in search of 'writing foreign
cookery books.' What will happen when Suzanne meets Diego who is
much younger than her? What is up with this potion that is need which
turns out to be a  'mysterious Candomble black magic.'  Will this end
 in another tragedy for Suzanne?

HE SAID, HE SAID, by Kerry Taylor, a novella
This one is a short read that is a romantic comedy.

BRASS HEART by A. LIGHTBOURNE, a novel about "A classic
Romantic tale, set in a  picturesque Steampunk world."

IT HAD TO BE YOU by Penny Darling, a novel featuring:
'Foolish Me.. Foolish You...We Loved and Laughed...As Couple Do...I Loved

and lastly...

FEAR OF FALLING  by Roz Marshall, a novella
another short read when a ski instructor is facing a 'life threatening

I found all of these six stories were very captivating only leaving you

How will this turn out?  This was a town of '150 people, no main roads, mostly men, bears and cold freezing weather.  Now, who would want to come here?   What could this Arctic Circle offer in the way of jobs and  living conditions in this area?  When a single mom decides to live Seattle and moves to Hard Luck...well I will say that it get pretty interesting.  What will or could go wrong for her?  This is where I will say you will have to pick up this good read to see how and what all will come to this story from this author.  Be ready for a very interesting read.  You will find yourself even laughing as you read through "The Midnight Son" novel.  This author gives the reader  a descriptions of 'magnificence, vastness, and small town friendliness.'  I found the characters very rich, well developed and well portrayed giving the reader some good read.

If you are looking for a well written read that will keep your attention until the end, you have come to the right place.  For "Midnight Sons"  is a cute delightful romantic read that I would recommend to you as a good read.

Was this a accidental death or a suicide of their mother?  Will there be craziness along this read with voices that will appear on this journey?   You will taken back and forth in time on this journey to Cranberry Glades with memories and the imagination of letters where the reader will also feel the pain that these sisters go through.   "The Moon Sisters" has some well developed characters and the secondary characters are very colorful such as the tattooed drifter Hobbs and enigmatic Red Grass.

This is definitely one read that will not leave you after the read  only giving you a woven  journey  of secrets, guilt, regret, forgiveness, unconditional love and a bit of magic for these two sisters.  I found "The Moon Sisters" a very  well written intriguing story about these two memorable sisters.  Would I recommend "The Moon Sisters?"  YES!

"Angel Mine" by Sherryl Woods was a wonderful contemporary romance novel that was the first in this 'A Whispering Wind' series.  This was indeed a interesting story of how the girl gets the guy  or
was the guy finally get the girl?  This author gives the reader a well written spin on a true romantic
love between Heather Reed  and Todd Winston.  With Heather being a single parent would she be able to convince the father of Angel, her dad Todd  that  she needed help in raising her?  What I thought was somewhat amusing was that Todd had no idea that he even had a child and just what had happened that he seemed to panic after finding out he had a child?  Yes, this little girl looked just like him.  I found this read a long read but in the end it gave the reader  a wonderful ending.  The characters were all simply off the chart good, well developed, likable, and so very colorful making the read an captivating one.  I liked the way this author was able to share facts about this close knitted community that were a bit eccentric from Whispering Wind, Wyoming but all in all making this a novel that was fast paced and entertaining that kept you reading till the end.  You will find yourself smiling as you are reading through this good read.  Now, how these two were able to rekindle their love, I will just say you must pick up the good read "Angel Mine" to see how this author will bring it all out to you.

So, if you are looking for a good story of family and community with some romance added in,  you have come to the right place for a heartwarming novel  "Angel Mine" will give it all  to you.  Would I recommend?  YES!

"When Perfection Fails" by Tyora Moody was the third in this author inspiritual series: 'Victory Gospel Series.' I believe to truly understand this wonderful written novel that you really should pick up and the first two novels and read them. You will see how this novel is presented so smoothly as we are now dealing with the Freeman's... so just what is their story?

This author really showed the reader what really can go on in a minister's family. We find that the Freemans were not the 'media darlings and a model couple; the picture of perfection.' Why was this?

We find that Jonathan Freeman was now the pastor of Victory Gospel Church due the fact that his father (Jeremiah Freeman) who had been the pastor had passed away and he now had taken charge of that position. This position had been new to Jonathan and his family but know he had also been offered something else that would possibly be of interest to him...going into polities. However, before Jonathan was able to talk this over with his wife....Lenora finds out and she was
very upset about this. Was Jonathan taking more than he could handle? Were there secrets not being shared by this husband and wife? What all will come out from this secret?

Lenora Freeman was the beautiful first lady of Victory Gospel Church and was a 'Wedding Planner' with her own business that she had long established. Everything had seemed to be going well for her, however were there secrets of her pass that would come to the light after her childhood best friend Charmayne makes an appearance at her bridal shop? How does this "carefully guarded secret catches up with Lenora and it threatens her security as well as that of her family."

How will Lenora be able to "fight to protect the man she loves and the beautiful life God has blessed her to have?" This is where I say you must pick up the amazing good read to see how this author will bring it all out to the readers with all question and more will be answered.

This author characters were all well developed, memorable, well portrayed, and so well colorful only giving us a very well written read. I found the novel rather long but this author was able to give the reader a read that was well presented well from the start till the finish. I found there were no loose ends left untouched...definitely a well rounded read. What I really liked was there were many characters that were in the previous series showed up in "When Perfection Fall" which really helped tie this novel series together. This was a wonderful good read that I recommend for all to read.

continuing on.....

From "The Sweetest Love" we know find London and Gianni are now married and  on their honeymoon.  So Winnie is in charge of the 'organizing business that was started several years ago.'  What will happen when "Winnie  finds herself in a bit of a dilemma when she takes on the account of the man that fled 10 years ago, leaving Adele the mother of his daughter, Adrianna, pregnant and alone."  Now, I will stop here and say it's time again  to pick up 'The Sweetest Love' to see how this author will bring  it out to the reader.  It  will be delivered to you in a neat package that seems that's all this author can do so well.

We find that Mary Jane Doe doesn't know who she is...was she a stripper at the Petting Zoo or a secret agent? However, this Mary Jane was able to take care of herself. I don't care what happened to her she always seemed to bounce back. But still just who was this Mary Jane Doe? Why did Mary Jane did have back memories of Malaysia ....her sister, Asia (her twin) Peter (her husband), her Momma, Willy and Natalia Jacobi at times that will go and come through memories throughout the read. But what was up with this Beasley, Jake and Officer Dwight Daniels and how are they involved in all of this? The question: was Mary Jane Doe...Malaysia or Asia? I did like how this author was able to bring back Mary Jane's childhood so that the reader will be able to get some background to what has gone on her earlier life and in the end you will be able to put all the pieces together for a excellent read.

What happens as Mary Jane Does memory starts to come back to her? What will she find at Beasley house? Who was Hurricane? How does Peter come into play in all of this with Beasley? What was 'The Eradicator' all about? All of these questions and more will be answered from the read.

This author really had some weird characters in this novel. Review:

"The Newlyweds: Jack and Jill by Shelia Goss was a  short romance. It all starts out great for Jack and Jill Hill but soon after their marriage with life being so real things began to happen between
these two.  Was their some one else coming between these two?  Well, for Jill there seems  to be a person who was coming between these two in their marriage.  Should Jack be concern over this?
For Jack worked with this other woman named Charlotte and for him nothing wasn't coming between him and his wife Jill.  What will Jill since she is feeling threaten?  This is where I say you must pick up this read to find out what will become of this issue  between Jack and Jill.  What advice with Jill friend give her friend? What has Jill began to start taking that would really upset Jack when he finds out?  What happens to Jack that finally lets him know there is a problem with Charlotte? What will Jill do when she finds Charlotte in Jack's office?   Again, the answers to all of the questions and more will be revealed in the read when  you must pick up "The Newlyweds: Jack and Jill" for a cute short romance read that I would recommend to you as a good read.
